    We've made mac n cheese with gouda at home for cheap. I mean, Trader Joe's carries Gouda!

    Did you know Gouda is pronounced How-da with a gutteral sound on the G? 

    I just learned that the other day.

    I always feel so pretentious when I pronounce stuff like this correctly. Same reason I still say qui-no-a instead of keen-wah
    Oh, even though I now know it's pronounced like that, Goo-da is how I'll always say it.

    I just thought it was interesting.

    It's because 99.9% of the US population pronounces it Goo-da.  I would feel like an idiot saying it the "correct" way.

    I just thought it was an interesting tidbit that i was reading the other day. 

    And I love cheese, but it was basically the only cheese on that list that I had even heard of.

    I pronounced feta wrong until a couple years ago. I grew up Klassy, okay? We didn't have such fancy cheeses and leather bound books.

    Deep fried.  You can buy it at local asian markets or you can deep fry it yourself.  The either dip in a good hoisin sauce or use in a stir fry.
