  • We went to a fancy ass place for brunch and they had mac and cheese that was nasty because it had all the fucking weird cheeses.

load that shit up with cheddar Velveeta and let's be on our merry way.

You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK.  Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.

  • I went to a fancy irish Pub with traditional breakfast and about vomited on their kids' Mac and Cheese. So did @sookiefrackhouse68. @Mackelien13 has a 4 year old, and that 4 year old does not need gouda in her macaroni. THAT IS JUST TOO FANCY.

I need to go where there is a traditional Irish breakfast.

The Bump understands why Velveeta is the best on mac and cheese.

Did you know Gouda is pronounced How-da with a gutteral sound on the G?

I just learned that the other day.

    I always say Goo-da

I always feel so pretentious when I pronounce stuff like this correctly. Same reason I still say qui-no-a instead of keen-wah
Oh, even though I now know it's pronounced like that, Goo-da is how I'll always say it.

I just thought it was interesting.
  • And I like smoked Gouda because it tastes like meat.  It's like meat cheese.
  • Did you guys know quesadilla is pronounced like Kay-suh-dee-ya NOT Kay-suh-dill-uh like it looks?

    REALLY?!?!  Good to know.
  • This tread is cracking me up!

Pronouncing 'gouda' as 'howda' sounds douchey to me, but pronouncing quinoa correctly doesn't.  Hmm.
It's because 99.9% of the US population pronounces it Goo-da.  I would feel like an idiot saying it the "correct" way.

I just thought it was an interesting tidbit that i was reading the other day.

And I love cheese, but it was basically the only cheese on that list that I had even heard of.
  • i ain't worried about pronouncing shit because i'm too fucking busy stuffing my mouth with delicious foods.

"ay waiter, get me this shit right here!"

however long the night, dawn will break.

  • I pronounced feta wrong until a couple years ago. I grew up Klassy, okay? We didn't have such fancy cheeses and leather bound books.

@cinemagoddess, how would you suggest tofu be prepared? It's something I've never tried but I'm open to it. I just wouldn't know where to start.
Deep fried.  You can buy it at local asian markets or you can deep fry it yourself.  The either dip in a good hoisin sauce or use in a stir fry.

    BOOM.  Delicious.
