One of the doctors that has seen Amelia has 2 children that are 10 months apart. She got pregnant while on maternity leave. She said no one at work believed her when she told them she was pregnant on her first day back from mat leave. CAN YOU IMAGINE???

Eh, My husband and I DTD a couple days shy of 4 weeks, which was what we were told to wait. There was a condom mishap...and I could have very easily gotten pregnant then. LUCKILY I didn't.

There was a 4 day gap between my 6 week PP visit and my IUD appointment... DH and I had at it with a condom the day of my 6 week PP appointment... Condom mishap ensued and I busted into tears because I just CAN NOT even imagine. Seriously... Cried for 30 minutes.

Girl, you're scaring me with this condom mishap talk! I can't take hormonal BC, so I have to stick to condoms and charting!

got my first period when she was 9 months old, didn't have another! There are pros and cons to close spacing. We have several here who have close babies. Like I said.... Someone's going to be the first!

No. I cannot imagine a doctor being that ignorant.

Ouch! Some of us have kids fairly close together and not sure I'd classify myself as ignorant.

DH and I had sex right at 4 weeks. We used a condom and I was so paranoid that I wouldn't let him finish...in the traditional style.
I started my birth control a couple of days later and now I'm getting symptoms similar to pregnancy like I always do on the pill.
When I feel first trimester queasy from the pill, the terror that grips my insides is akin to labor pains.
One of my New Year's resolutions is to not get knocked up.

I nearly cried for you before opening this thread. Also, I am now super paranoid about having a "condom mishap"...too many stories about that here! I will be talking to my doctor about Paraguard at my 6-week pp appt (coincidentally scheduled for the week before Valentine's Day).

Well, what I had my first one put in after a 6 week appt. My Dr gave me whatever it is to make me start my period, and then I called when it started and made an appt to get it put in. I was going to get another one put in right before this pregnancy and changed my mind, but my dr was going to do it without me being on my period...but I had just had a D&C, so I am not sure if that counts..?Who knows. I am going to call my dr in about a week and let him know that I want the Mirena.

Mine was dragging his feet a little, but then all of the husbands in our group of friends got it done and talked him into it. Plus I told him if he didn't do it he'd have to wear condoms. That clinched it.

That makes me hurt. I have an allergy to condoms. Basically, my nethers don't like anything touching it apart from penis.

I was bluffing. I think we used a condom our first time together and haven't since. They're so gross and smelly.

Yeah my sister and I are 10 months apart.... I want my kids close (not THAT close but no more than 2 years-which would put me pregnant in the next year or so.)

That's me too! Recovery has been hard for sure, but I had a wonderful pregnancy and I definitely want my kids closer together. I also want 3 or 4 and don't want to be pregnant on and off for the next 6-8 years..I'd rather have my children closer in age no matter how hard it'll be.

My first two are 13 months apart and it's honestly completely easy for me and I love it. Now that I have 3 under 3 though I don't even wanna freaking imagine having another so close in age to this LO. Glad DH is getting snipped. We've even thought about me getting the essure to be safe.

I'm pretty crazy and sortakinda can't wait to give Jack a little brother or sister. Our original plan prior to this LO was to start trying again at 1 year. I'd be down to try again at 6 months TBH. For us it'll be a financial decision, unfortunately. We saved, saved, saved for this baby and are still running low on money :-/

I dont think it would have been so bad if I hadn't gone through the whole laboring and 3 hours of pushing and STILL ended up with a c-section! Lol

This was me after Emma's birth. I labored 14 hours and pushed for 3. I still had a section. Afterwards I remember thinking that I would be fine to never have another. I hate saying it, but just wait, when your LO is older, doing cute things, and (hopefully) STTN, momnesia sets in. I remember thinking that I would never forget what a contraction felt like. BAM, no clue. Babies are wizards like that.

I wouldn't mind getting pregnant again very soon if my poor body could handle being pregnant and I knew I wouldn't have a third preemie. I just love babies. I love every minute and moment of being a mom and have started to have that baby fever again lol.

When DH and I pulled the goalie to try for #1 we fired him permanently. I would be OK if I got KU this soon although I would prefer to have them about two years apart. We didn't have the easiest time getting PG with this one so we decided to give into our Catholic guilt and ditch all BC and see how it goes. I guess we are officially NTNP.

I want to get an IUD because the idea of becoming pregnant any time soon shivers me timbers... DH is a little weirded out by the IUD, but the good ole "pull out method" ain't gonna save us any more in my opinion, once you pop the fertility cork, its like champange, just keeps foaming over for a bit. At least that's what I tell myself. So thanks, but no thanks.
