Combine registry on Amazon?

Good morning! Does anyone know how to combine your registries on Amazon? We just registed at BRU this weekend and want to do extra stuff on Amazon but combine then so there is only 1 website. Anyone know if this can be done? And How?

Re: Combine registry on Amazon?

  • I'm not sure if you can add an existing registry to Amazon, but I do know you can use their Universal Wish List button to add products from any site to the Amazon registry.  I have been using it to store the ideas of products I find and like all over the internet, so it is really my main registry at this point.  It might be time consuming to add each and every item on your BRU registry to your Amazon registry using the wish list button, but I'm not sure if there is another way.

I know that I plan on having two registries - one at BRU and one on Amazon.  That might be an option for you also, I know not everyone in my family is big on internet shopping.  I will eventually take items off my Amazon registry that I put on my BRU registry.  If anyone knows how to add an entire registry from BRU or another store to Amazon, I'd love to hear it!

  • Aside from the "universal registry" option on Amazon (but you'd have to add everything from your BRU registry individually, and then delete your BRU registry to make sure you didn't get duplicates), I don't know that there is a way.

I just have 2 registries - Amazon and Buy Buy Baby - is there a reason you don't want 2?

  • Are you saying if you have a universal registry and a registry just a BRU-- that is someone buys something at BRU it wont update the universal registry? Id like to give everyone the universal registry, but a lot of family will just want to go into BRU and buy. They dont update with each other? I am confused!
  • Why not just add the stuff from your BRU registry to your Amazon one directly on Amazon? Usually the prices are better and most states don't have to pay sales tax. If you keep an eye on them both, duplicates won't be an issue.

They don't sync automatically, but when you buy something via the Universal Registry on Amazon, the purchaser is asked to "reserve" the item so that no one else can buy it online. If they buy in the store, that update doesn't happen. If you expect lots of people to buy things in the store, I'd just create two separate registries.
