Woke up to a winter wonderland. Which is awesome. Except that i have to drive an hour, bundle up, then head to an outdoor hockey game. The temps have been described as "arctic".

Slightly annoyed right now. Seriously, call me out on facebook like I'm a bad person, for not calling, when I skyped, sent emails, and posted on facebook? Oh, no, allow me to place a call on my cell phone while international roaming. That's a GOOD idea. 8-|

ETA I should add this status calling me out on FB was made by my mom at midnight THEIR time. 6 hours after it was midnight here. Like I'd still be awake???

Happy New Year Ladies! I can't wait to be a bump aunt to all these little squish faces! I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed new year! On that note... Our mattress (brand new) is not cutting it for either DH or Myself... I'm still on the couch. I can't do this until April!

Crappy New Years. Went back to the room around 10:30 where DH proceeded to tell me how frustrated he's been with my eating habits and general not feeling good during my pregnancy. He said he hasn't felt a "spark" with me lately.
I then started getting upset and crying, which led to getting Braxton hicks...didn't know that could happen or it was just a coincidence. Either way, it sucked. Then was woken up all throughout the night by sirens, people shouting in the hotel hall and streets.
We've only been married now for almost 6 months and I know it's been harder lately but damn, just lay it all on me at once on a holiday

Just had to vent.

Happy new year ladies!! there was no way I was making it till midnight. Aaaand I woke up at some ungodly hour because blood was pouring out of my nose. Woke me up right out of a dream where I was making the most delicious looking turkey sandwich, damn it!! It didn't stop for nearly an hr and I realized DH didn't fill the humidifier last night. First night I haven't slept with it since October and of course, massive bloody nose! Damn DH, that turkey sandwich, and my bloody nose!

Aw, I'm sorry @Lindsay808 ! Why do guys always feel it's best to say things at night or on important days? Like, my dh does that too. It's like, you couldn't have said this at any other time? Any other time at all?! Sheesh.

@lindsay808 I'm so sorry! He deserves a TP for dumping that on you on NYE. This definitely is a lot to go through after only 6 mos of marriage, but he definitely should be more understanding. My DH was a bit insensitive in the beginning and I got him the book "Dude, You are gonna be a Dad" and it really changed his perspective. Maybe something like that would help? Hang in there!

Days like today I wish my bf hadn't sold his explorer. It's so beautiful out and I wanna go to the beach (which is rare). We could always go in my car but I'd feel so guilty going to the beach without the dogs.

@lindsey808 sorry he dumped all that in you last night. The first year of marriage is hard and on top of the you're adding being pregnant for it. I'm sure it is a bit overwhelming for both of you. Sounds like you guys need to have a very serious talk about feelings, expectations and the future. And if you can't do it alone see someone. Hope you can feel better in your relationship with your new husband.

He has admitted several times that pregnancy is not what he expected and didn't realize how difficult it would be on me. He's told me before that he thought pregnancy just meant that for a few weeks in the beginning, you throw up once in the morning (ha! he definitely didn't see my all day sickness coming) and then the rest of pregnancy just entailed being really hungry all the time and getting bigger. Lol I wish it was that easy!

I think he's just bottled up a lot of emotions over the last few weeks and we need to work on better communicating them.

What would A14 do? My brother gave us a gift card to buy a mamaroo. (He's kinda a tech person and wanted to get her something "cool"). But after hearing experiences from other moms I'm not sure it's worth it. Especially because the gift card would cover the fancy pnp I like.

Should I stick with the intentions of the gift card or get what I need? (I don't think he'll care either way, but the mamaroo is pretty neat. This is more of a which would you rather question)

If it were me, I think it would depend on whether I already had a swing. If I had a swing, I'd go for the pnp. If I didn't have a swing yet, I'd use the gift card for its intended purpose.

I am in serious panic mode this morning. DD turns 3 on Feb 26. She was born at 38 wks so I'm nervous for DS to come early as we aren't prepared at all (which would mean a March baby for us, EDD is 4/6)... everything we have for him is packed away in the garage. I am nervous to have two kids (silly?). I am so scared for PPD again and am afraid it will interfere with BF.. again. I need to talk with my doctor for a game plan. Ahh!

I've been very panicked today too. My EDD is 4/4, but I had my son at 37 weeks! That's not long at all and I'm so unprepared. I think it's hitting my husband today too..he insisted we pick up newborn diapers today

My massive worry today...I'm having a RCS but what if I go into labor beforehand and don't realize it?? I know that sounds stupid but with my son, I had no clue I was in labor. I thought I had good poisoning! I insisted my husband take me to the hospital because I was worried about being so sick and getting dehydrated. Once I got there, they told me I was in labor and I was shocked! For my own health reasons, labor could be life threatening, so they quickly put me on meds to stop it and I had my csection. So I'm so worried that again I'll somehow not recognize the fact that I'm in labor..

is this your first? are you having a shower? if you are planning on having a shower I would hold off on either purchase until you see what you get from your shower.

If you are not having a shower than its a tough call. For me personally, the mamaroo is something I want but would never buy for myself and would only take it as a gift (like it's been offered to you) I would, however, buy a pnp for myself even the over the top one I want. So, again, for me, I would go ahead and get the mamaroo with the giftcard and buy the pnp myself.
