The hearing the baby thread is especially embarrassing for me to read because it reminds me of when DH seriously asked if we could be able to hear her from the womb.
Facepalm.
He's not an idiot. I swear. I thought he was kidding when he asked. Nope. Dead. Serious.
Apparently being pregnant means I finally almost have a "normal" body temp. Today it's 97.6, usually (non pregnant) it's barely 96. I always have a difficult time determining whether or not I have a fever.

I have the same thing! According to one doc I saw, if you are tracking low grade fevers, its a concern, but still not until it gets above 98.6. But a high fever will still be above 100. (Or is it 101?) Anyway, as someone with a low temp like yourself, it has held true. I was experiencing low grade temps from lupus, around 100 and then I also experienced high temps from a serious infection (104.) It always dropped back to 97ish when I was not feverish.

it's just so crazy! i had 102 a few years ago and my body just knew it was in danger, even though it's still "safe"-ish at 102. in my body that meant 7.5 degrees above normal. for someone who is usually at 98.6 that would mean 106! obvious cause for concern. i need a conversion scale...

Obviously symptoms play a major role :-) Any doctor who writes off a very obviously sick person because their fever is "only" 102 is not doing his/her job!!
My mom just walked into our house and walked in on DH getting into the shower. Sorry, mom, I love you but knock, ring the door bell, call.....something!

Does anyone have any crockpot recipes that don't require a crazy amount of ingredients? We're pretty tight on our grocery budget this week and I prefer crockpot because well... I'm ridiculously lazy when it comes to cooking.
Mmmm Peanut loves Milk Duds just like mama! He goes crazy every time I eat them. Realistically I know it's jut the sugar in general but I like thinking I passed along one of my addictions!

You could just buy a pork roast and put it in there with broth until it falls apart. Then, you can use it for a bunch of different things: mix it with BBQ sauce for pulled pork sandwiches, put some Mexican spices on it and use for taco fillings, etcetera.
I can't wait until tax season! But, does that really surprise anyone? I'm hoping this'll be a good year for refunds, because I really want a nice Lazy Boy rocker recliner to feed the baby in. I can't wait until I get those W2's and start estimating! Excited to see how filing as a married couple changes things. Plus, I won't have to do two separate returns this year which will be really nice.
we were AMAZED at how much we got back last year! it was our first year of marriage, so it was way more than i expected. this year i had a slightly higher income, but DH's was pretty low. i always file as soon as i get my W2s.
And it was opposite for us last year filing as a married couple for the first time. We got less $ back than we expected. I was so disappointed. I have no idea what this year will bring since we are renting out our old house. A whole new animal. We are actually going to have to use a real accountant this time around.
My DH and I file separately, we get about $400 more back this way. My CPA always runs the numbers both ways and only once in the last 5 years has it been better to file together.
I just polished off an entire box of Kraft Mac & cheese. Now I need to hide the evidence before DH gets home... Also I need to pray that I don't barf it back up. Still not feeling great but I knew I needed to eat.

The worst part about throwing up IMO is when the toilet water splashes you when you throw up. Nothing grosses me out more. Usually makes me throw up again. Random thought of mine for the day...

I think the worst part is peeing all over the floor while puking. And my body's new trick of bursting blood vessels from the ordeal. Puking is so fancy...

DH just went to go see his parents for a bit and I'm trying to fight this stupid stomachache!! FIL is picking us up at 5am for the airport so I'm hoping to go to bed by 7, wake up at 3. I'm soooooo sleepy right now, but I can't let myself nap! Must. Be. Productive....

I left Minnesota wearing my snow boots and am arriving in Omaha with no snow on the ground. I get to look at piles of snow back home until April but not even get a white Christmas?? What a rip off.

A very sweet friend just dropped off a Christmas gift on my porch! I wish I was a better gift giver- but presents for Christmas just seems so cliche! I'd rather spoil people all year round.

It just dawned on me that my sonogram appointment tomorrow is the day before Christmas Eve, so it would probably be appropriate for me to get up off my lazy butt and bake something for the staff who will be there.
Maybe I'll think about it while I watch Christmas movies.
