  I miss getting fancy. I don't want to sit in yoga pants and old t shirts. But does anything fit? Not really. So..... Here I am in yoga pants trying to convince myself to buy myself something nice.
  
  Also, I am not interested in anything hunger games.

  Married DH : 7/7/12; 3 fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat)
  DS born 9/3/13; DD born 7/22/15; LO due 5/28/18
  FS (age 5) and FD (age 2) to become AS/AD very soon!

  Given all the posts about ILs and the holidays, I think this is a UO here: other than the 9-10 hour drive each way, I'm excited to go see my ILs (really, DH's entire immediate and extended family) for Christmas. My MIL cares for my niece (20 months) and nephew 4 months) 1-2 days a week and is amazing with them and LO, so DH and I might actually get our first date night! She also prepares 3 real meals a day (she's retired). I can't remember the last time I ate 3 legitimate meals!

  I decided birth announcements are overrated and never sent them. Family and friends who are close to us know all the details...and have been sent plenty of pics.
  I'm also not sending Christmas cards for the first time in years. I plan to send an ecard of S's Christmas shoot on Christmas Eve & post on FB. I'm playing the "new mom with no time cad" with no shame this year.

  I'm a stickler for real cards... Formal invitations for birthday parties, showers, Christmas cards, birth announcements, etc.  I absolutely HATE receiving ecards or evites.  When I get one to an event I give the host a huge side-eye.

  No hard feelings @lokilahve your UO just reminded me of how much I like getting real mail and pretty paper invitations.

  My UO I love colored Christmas lights. I love them outside and on the tree. They just look so pretty. DH does not agree.

  THANK YOU!! If it's not on a great thick cardstock, it's not worth sending out.  I'm a paper snob and flame me if you will, I will pre-judge a party  based on the invitation I receive.

  jessicaivana I'm not in design but I'm a Martha Stewart wannabe who loves to make invitations and cards (and crafts, and all sorts of crap).  My Silhouette Cameo makes me feel like I can do it all...

  And oh yeah, I zazzle stamp the shit out of my party invitations

  My uo is I think july13 uo threads are much more interesting than ours. Now those ladies have some uos! It can really get heated. Yes I lurk over there often (fffc maybe?)

  Oh no worries. I love getting real cards too and this is the first time in at least 10 years I'm not sending actual Christmas cards out. It was stressing me out and I realized I just needed to let it go.
  Now, big events (bdays, showers, weddings)? Yeah those are mandatory actual cards. A summer BBQ? That shit gets an evite.

  We need to be anti chocolate friends! People always get all crazy when they hear me say that and I'm like "chill that just means more for you" I've learned to make friends by never denying chocolate and just giving it to someone else

  Grown people should not wear clothing with Disney characters on them. Also, you and your SO wearing matching shirts.. No. Just no.
  Eta: unless you're going to a Sadie Hawkins dance, in which case that is perfectly acceptable.

  Haha.. I almost posted what I used, but deleted it. I figured I'd get sh!t for it :P  I totally use kid's toothpaste. Colgate Strawberry or Tom's of Maine Strawberry. I use kid's mouthwash too. I'm the biggest baby. I had to have impressions done once, for my jaw, and it was awful.   I am surprised at how outraged people are about this whole Duck Dynasty thing. (Phil Robertson suspended indefinitely from Duck Dynasty after anti-gay comments). The guy announced that he thinks homosexuals are sinners, in a GQ magazine interview. You can't say those sorts of things when you represent a TV network and not expect repercussions.

  I think the worst part was when he said civil rights were bad for black people. WTF. Oh and how he beat a woman and her husband in a bar fight but didn't seek their forgiveness because he doesn't look back. WTF.
  
  I've never watched that show and I never will. I don't support racist, homophobic bigots. I can't believe how popular that show is with this type of cast member.
