    told my dad and his family that we are having a girl today! they were so convinced we were having a boy lol oh well. looks like you're going to have a little girl with you wrapped around her little finger grandpa!

    I took a sick day because my allergies were killing me this morning, and I took the fur baby to the vet while I had the chance. Turns out all of his problems are from allergies too! My poor baby. I never would've guessed that he and I would be taking the same medicine for allergies. Weird :/ But I'm so happy that it wasn't anything more serious!

    I cannot WAIT to see "The Hobbit"! We are re-watching the first one this evening in preparation for going to see the new one on Tuesday!

    Yay, I can't wait either! We were planning to go tomorrow but there's a lousy storm coming so we might have to wait until Sunday.

    Ugh. Longest day ever. To top it all off, I had a patient crash tonight and I couldn't get his blood pressure back up no matter what I did. And I couldn't get the on-call doc to call me back bc he was stuck in ICU. Took me 2 hours to stabilize this guy and in the mean time I hadnt eaten in 8 hours and I was the only RN in clinic so I couldn't step off the floor and I had acid reflux so bad from hunger and stress it was making me wanna throw up. And now I'm home and I've eaten and I STILL have the worst heartburn of my life. :( So glad its the weekend!

    Mine felt her for the first time tonight! Every other time he has put his hand on my belly when I tell him she is kicking up a storm she immediately stops! Tonight he gave him a good jab right in the palm! The look on his face was priceless! I was soooooooooo happy for him it actually brought a tear to my eye!

    My entire extended family (I have 28 first cousins) is getting together today to take a "Holly Jolly Trolley" to Downtown Chicago. DH can't go because of work :-( It is snowing like crazy and there is free booze on the trolley...this should will get interesting. Did I mention I get to be the designated driver to make sure my entire immediate family makes it home in one piece after boozing it up all day? And AGAIN...it is snowing like crazy....I really need to get some sleep to deal with all this today!

    That is not a babysitting gig I would want! Enjoy! Hope the snow isn't too bad cause we are heading to Milwaukee.

    @BiggerinRealLife I don't think I would do it, if it were a friend's or someone else I knew I would...but not my own. You probably use the dogs name a lot and it could get confusing....sucks though if you really like the name. 


    Logan is out top choice too.

    What the actual heck??? I'm up at 6am on the day I've been looking forward to sleeping in on for two weeks. Why does this baby hate me already???

    *Le Sigh* At the end of the day, @Thomas930, I'm pretty sure that's where I'll end up. I just need to find a name I like as much. But that's the trouble: I'm having a hard time getting excited about boys names so few look good to me. I think it's because I'm half convinced we're not going to need one. Which I'm probably wrong about. This is one reason to not be Team Green if there ever was one, because it would be far easier for me to choose one name with a clear picture of what I'm having than two when I'm not sure. We'll figure it out.

    @BiggerinRealLife I totally get it. DH and I have had a really hard time picking names and we decided that we wouldn't even really talk about it until we knew the sex....we've known the sex for about a month now and still haven't made a ton of progress. Logan is the only name we can agree on but even with that he wont make a final decision right now. Names are freaking hard!

    You guys are Team Green, right?

    @BiggerinRealLife If I were in your situation and there was no name I loved more, then I would absolutely name my son Logan. There would be no question. Loving the name is the most important thing. Nothing wrong with nicknaming the dog. I almost never call our dog by his actual name anyway.

    And I know this probably sounds terrible, but you will be spending another happy 10 years with your dog, which is awesome. But you will be spending another 50+ years with your son. If you love the name, use it. My cousin's middle name comes from the name of her father's favorite dog. We all know it and none of us care. ;)
