Okay, this chaos has gone on long enough! I went upstairs to get DH a bowl, and came back down with chili, a brownie, and some hot chocolate (all for myself)...

My sister (with whom I am really close to) just nonchalantly informed me that she booked her family for a trip to Disney World. "Oh wow, awesome, when?" I say. "March 23rd-March 30th" she replies. "Oh, the week before I am due?" I retort. "Oh yeah, I didn't think about that. Well that baby is staying put until April." she answers. Right? You hear that little one, you can't make your big debut before April 1st because your Godmother and all your cousins are going to the land that Mickey Made. So keep that in mind when you decide to make your way into the world.
DH referred to LO as "our daughter" tonight. Uhhhh we are team green. He REALLY wants this baby to be a girl.
Be prepared to think pink in April! I swear DHs have a sixth sense about this sort of thing. My DH guessed correctly and got what he wanted both times.

I'm watching the Lady Gaga Christmas special right now and my thoughts are as follows:
1. Swedish Chef and Beaker are the best characters ever created 2. RuPaul wins for best diva, hands down 3. Lady Gaga's headpiece looked like a semi-unrolled condom bouncing around 4. Less Gaga more Muppet Christmas songs, plz 5. Joseph Gordon Levitt is the most dapper man ever!
I could very happily go to bed right now and it's not even 8:30. Instead, I'll continue to lay here, fall asleep on the couch, and begrudgingly drag myself to bed in an hour or so
Why do I always go to the worst case scenario in my head? I have an itch on my head = I have lice. My daughter coughs = pneumonia. Head ache = brain tumor. I'm the worst!
I just wanna lay on my back. Little boy kicks when I do, and it is so comfy for a minute before my feet go all tingly and remind me I'm sposed to be on my side. Life is hard.

Word. I take a couple of "baby breaks" every day to feel little dude getting his wiggle on. He is very calm and collected in the morning but a little ball of energy at night which makes me like him quite a bit already. I think I'll keep him.

I scowled at my son when we told me he wanted cereal today. I had a migraine and the kitchen is down stairs. I got it for him but still feel like an asshole of a mommy...

Ugh. Migraines are rough. I don't blame you. I am sure he got over it rather quickly about 1 bite into that bowl of cereal. Kids have memories like elephants when you promise to bring them somewhere but everything else they quickly forget :-)
Mine too! @mamamonzo gave me some in my SS gift and I had a delicious mug of it last night and she went crazy. She was squirming around surrounded by the warm chocolatey yumminess!
Ok, not at all Bump related, but it's pissing me off.
I used to be very active on a site that amounts to Facebook for knitters. I've designed several patterns, and one in particular is very popular. It's a free pattern, simple, and over 2,000 people have made it with no problems. I didn't write out every row of instructions, which is common for knitting patterns, and I still get people asking for help and asking me to spell things out for them.
I haven't been on this site in months, but some lady posted all over my page about how she "can't believe the author refuses to offer help to people needing help with decreases, despite acknowledging getting asked questions frequently." She wants to come on and correct my negligence by posting her stitch counts once she figures the pattern out to "prevent anyone else from going through this torture."
First off, 2,000 people have made it without hand holding. I wrote the pattern, offered it for free, wrote clarifications, and posted them, along with the suggestion to seek help in person from a local yarn shop as help in person is always better than help over the internet. And I'm pretty sure that if she went in to get help they would have shown her that she was doing it wrong, and the problem was her, not my pattern. What more do people want? I can't knit the freaking hat for them!
Sorry, it shouldn't even bother me. I'm seriously never on there any more. But I popped on to look up a baby bootie pattern and saw the messages. Anyway. Rant over. This is me right now:

@BiggerInRealLife I can't believe someone complained about a free service you took the time to provide. How ungrateful! SMH.
It's funny, but I've learned over the years that people complain far more about things that are free than things that they pay for. It makes little sense to me. The best I can figure is if you pay for it you at least try to like it, so you don't feel bad about spending the money? I don't know. SMH.

I just dreamt that I was at the plant store to buy strawberry plants. I kept running in to cool people that I, in real life, would really love to see. That was nice. It was not so nice that all the strawberry plants were $85 because they had tongues that would reach out and eat sugar water once a day.
Today as my sister was plucking my eyebrows..... I was laying on my back so I felt the baby move a lot and so told her to look at my belly... Well needless to say... She couldn't believe how much movement she could see from the outside she started giggling like crazy and was just amazed. I'm so happy I was able to share that with her.
So I have a bad cold where my snot is draining backwards and making my throat itchy scratchy and painful. But last night I had a low grade fever. I was able to get it to go down fairly quickly but baby girl hasn't moved much since. I hope she's ok in there. What I wouldn't give for some good strong kicks right about now.

Aw, honey! I'm sorry you aren't feeling well, and I'm sure she is just in a weird position and she'll shift and give you a good gut punch soon. Praying for you to get some good sleep to knock that cold out!
Big day for me and DD today. She has not met/seen/talked to bio dad since she was two months old. So, this morning at 9 am she will have her last name officially changed to mine. After almost four years I am so excited.
I spent 3 hours wrapping Christmas gifts last night. I woke up to find all the sticky bows from the gifts littered throughout the house. Stupid animals.
You gals will be proud--I finally switched doctors and feel AWESOME about it! After last week of my doctor forgetting that my weight loss was a concern (she congratulated me for "clearly" cutting down on the fatty/sugary foods--wtf I've been struggling to keep protein down) and failing to tell me about a fibroid that the ultrasound tech pointed out to her three times already, it was time to switch.
So I see the new doctor on Jan 6 and am really excited! She specializes in high risk pregnancies and ends up delivering 90% of her patients. Plus, she only delivers at the Mother Baby Center in Minneapolis which is where I want to give birth--it's state of the art, brand new, and right next to the Children's Hospital.
So happy to finally be making my own decisions on my baby instead of going blindly by which hospital/clinic is closest to me
Sometimes the dads on A Baby Story piss me off. Chick just got her epi and the dad was trying to talk her out of it because he didn't know what he was supposed to do if she wasn't in pain and he wasn't coaching her anymore. Asshole
I've had more sleep-gasms than awake ones in the last few months. Can't use my fav position with DH because it puts too much pressure on my stomach and every other position either hurts or just feels like he is repeatedly slamming a slimy cucumber up my vag. I miss awesome sex!!!!!!!
