Drama on may 14, Being a mom is hard thread. Ridiculous!! Eta, this woman is mental. Spanking a six month old and claiming her 2 year old is manipulative. Wow..
2 year olds can definitely be the devil... But manipulative probably not yet!
I read it up to the mention of a six month old. The reference came from someone other than the woman who spanks. I'm pretty sure it was someone who didn't read everything that mentioned a six month old for the first time. Not sure why she thinks that.

At one point, the crazy one mentioned that she had spanked her child when he was 6 months old for squirming during diaper changes. I don't think she meant she currently had a 6 month old. Still.
Yikes. I had to stop at page 2. I was hit as a kid for not eating everything on my plate. I finally got to the point where I was either forcing myself to throw up at the table or spending all night at the table trying to eat it all. You cant force people to eat. I've never forced dd to eat anything. While we're very fortunate that she had very little aversion to food, you can't scare kids into eating- or anything for that matter. As a parent, discipline is very important and every parent parent has their own tactics. I feel like instilling fear is not the right way to go about it. As an adult I still struggle with being fearful. Rant over.
My take on my picky eater right now is that if he's hungry he'll eat. I will make him try a bite before he leaves the table or gets more of what he likes and if he choses not to eat he'll wait for the next meal. I'm not going to bend over backwards to cook him a whole other meal or anything and he's not getting extra snacks or anything because he chose not to eat. He won't starve to death if he skips a meal and he'll learn that if he's hungry he'll eat what he's given.
ETA my kid is 5 and is old enough to understand the concept and some reasoning. I wouldn't do that with a 2 yr old exactly.
This is what I do with my 4 year old and it works and she gets to make the choice about eating or not eating.

My biggest pet peeve, and one he is WELL AWARE OF, is when DH just disappears down the hall without saying a word.
I'm fucking DONE. I'm off the clock. I'm done being a jungle gym, a food fetcher, and a book reader. I did it for 11 hours already, don't just fucking disappear on me. You have all of 2 hours to spend with him before he goes to bed. You can wait to spend 20 minutes taking a shit.
I'm also bitter because I WANT TO TAKE A SHIT SOME DAY DAMNIT.
Why dose it take men so long to crap!!!

DH takes the guitar with him to the bathroom and has 30-minute long jam sessions. I'm most certain that most of the time, he's done but decides to stick around.
Seriously, just another luxury of being a man: taking your time when you poop. If he only knew how fast I can do my business without hurting myself and without stinking up the bathroom like he does, his brain would explode. He usually takes at least 10 minutes. I can be in and out in 2.5 (including washing my hands and checking my hair in the mirror).

DH is driving me crazy spending money like it's water, but pregnancy is making me cave in too easily. We are seriously short on money for at least the next two weeks, but I may let him talk me into getting qdoba for dinner anyway. Money sucks

I'm completely jealous. I can't even poop.
I should've clarified! That was *pre-pregnancy* when I still had control of my bodily functions and dignity. Now I can't do that, even on a good day lol
I've had 140 oz of water plus tea plus coffee and a can of raspberry ginger ale! I'm all liquid!! I'm gonna hulk out on DH I swear, lol.. Also, I shouldn't have opened the picky eater spanking thread, now I wanna hulk out on that mom, lol. Goodness gracious.
Oh, legs. Can I remove you so you can run away and I can nap? Today is crazy pants. Hurry up weekend! Momma wants some hibachi!
Wow the bump seriously emotionally disturbed me today. I was out and about all day shopping with my Ma and came home to check in and the first post I opened made me want to punch someone and the second one made me cry my eyes out. I am done with the interwebs for today.
Re: Longest Thread EVER! (aka Random Thoughts Thread )
I'm in shock...
"At least we don't have picky eaters" woof that thread is a mess
