I'm generally an animal person but I'm to the point where I think I need to give my dog away. She keeps barking at the slightest thing and waking up ds1 from his naps. She's done it atleast 3 Times this week. Im so tired because I don't get a nap either and then have to deal with a cranky kid because he didn't nap either. I can't take it anymore. I need rest. I don't want her waking up my newborn and ds once lo is here. Im in tears right now because I'm just sooo frustrated. Dh isn't even around lately to help me with ds because he's finishing up working on the house projects before lo arrives. Sorry for the vent.

Furthermore, they say that since the baby can hear and recognize things MORE than well enough at this point, she's likely to become immune to the noise. Barking may actually comfort LO since they're used to hearing it. But you just need to chill, dude. For real. It's not the end of the world.

I'm just gunna say what everyone has been thinking lately. Do you ever have anything useful or helpful to post here or something that's NOT a rant or complaint? Because I'm pretty sure all you have been posting lately are complaints about your son and your husband and now your dog.

I do agree with obedience training, though.
Exactly.

OH CA'MON!!! OP, I'm new around here and even I skip over your posts because if I see your name the first thought that enters my head is "Here we go again, what First World Problems is princess having today!"!

Removed for TOU Violation
I know that pets can be stressful, but the ladies were right to tell me that I needed to suck it up. Being with my SO meant being with the dog too. Just relax and take a deep breath. I'm sure hormones have something to do with the way you are feeling. The benefits really do outweigh the bad stuff
In the line where you say "be women and not girls" I see you want us to put on our big girl panties. So why don't you take some of your own advice and act like a grown woman instead of acting more and more like a child with your pathetic threats and comments of not caring what other people think about you?
HUGE round of applause for you @elreid. Seriously. I'm glad you posted on this for real. See, OP? Constructive feedback did this bumpie some good way back when. Honestly...follow her lead. Our comments aren't meant to be "attacking." Just trying to bring perspective into the situation for you.

3) and yet you keep posting
I'm sorry to hear about your furbaby ,GOBLU. I had a dog that I loved dearly who had started having seizures when he was 15 (I had had him since I was 10). It's very hard emotionally and financially.
OP, I haven't slept in days let alone a nap. My toddler wakes up screaming with night terrors and I'm the only one that can calm him down. I'm also the only one that can breastfeed our newborn who is going through a growth spurt right now. So guess who is the only one up all night? I hope you find some patience. Good luck.
OP-I really hope you can switch your thought process around and enjoy your dog. I'm pretty sure that this fur baby would protect LO better than anyone I know at this point.
Just in the last two months I've had to trim hair off my dogs' BUTT so poop wont stick to it on a weekly basis. Make travel arrangements to get them back into the continental US along with my other kids. My female puppy went into heat and changing a dog's pad is about the grossest thing ever! Making sure she doesn't get knocked up while outside no matter how tired I am, and finally she is now recovering from her spay surgery. Yes, it's just like taking care of a baby or children. I consider myself a mom of four (2human and 2 furr babies) and will be adding another one. What a pain, I wish I could call my MIL and tell her to take them all but NEVER give them a doughnut. You seem to have a very pampered life if these things are making you want to give up and give away a family member.....that is what they are.
No one is asking you to leave, but what you have been posting lately is whiny and trivial.
I mean, chapped lips? Really? You just need to understand that these are not real problems; they're minor inconveniences/annoyances and we aren't interested in that nonsense.
Have you read some of the birth stories lately? My poor LB had a horrendous labor and required a blood transfusion. A lot of us have arrived home with our babies and struggled with what is easily the most emotional and sleep-deprived week we've ever experienced. No chance of napping when so many of us are struggling trying to BF.
You aren't going to get any sympathy for the non-issues for which you are continually venting. silliness.
@stefieluvsjavon - I'll go there with you. I'm a trained martial artist that's feeling really scrappy.
