Springs, do you just cut and paste your rants from one place to another or do you actually retype the whole diatribe each time?
I cut and paste some like when someone lies says something is isn't the server's fault when it is, I cut and paste that.

    Not everytime though.

HOWEVER, the majority of the time it was the kitchen or the expo who I HAD to tip out that delivered or made the wrong food
Sorry, the majority of the time it *IS* your server's fault.

Any condiments can be brought out ahead of time, NO EXCUSES you can come up with, because if the food is cooked before you can pour a freakin condiment, SOMETHING IS REALLY WRONG WITH THAT!

Two, side dishes and entrees *wrong or missing* if my server brings out my food, that's OBVIOUS to their eyes.

Three, any obvious error you don't have to touch the food to notice the mistakes that includes bacon not crispy if it's not covered up, bbq sauce on ribs rather than on the side if that's the way it was ordered, eggs ordered sunny side up but they are scrambled on the plate, etc.

Fourthly, a number of servers have either admitted or it was on the check that they put in our orders wrong.

So I am sorry, but you are VERY WRONG! It doesn't matter if you had to tip them out, you still are the LAST SET OF EYES to have on the food.

If it's another server, condiments are still always a server error since that can be brought out ahead of time, which that also includes extra raw onions that were ordered on the side or pickles or anything that needs no cooking.

"It's not always your server's fault."

No, but most of the time it's either your server's fault or another server/food runner's fault, because most issues you can *SEE* WITHOUT, WITHOUT, WITHOUT TOUCHING ONE PART OF THE FOOD TO NOTICE IT'S WRONG!
  • I would rather have any condiments brought out with my food or AFTER, if the server forgot to bring it with. Not before. Just saying.

  • Wow. It must be amazing to be so perfect at every thing you do and never make any mistakes!

For the first couple years DH and I were dating, it always seemed we ended up getting strange or terrible servers. We thought it was kind of fun and gave us something to laugh about together. We still laugh about it now after almost ten years. I guess I should have written (yelled?) blogs about it instead.

So a few weeks ago DH and I went out to red robin. Our bill came to $20 and some change. He paid with cash and sent a twenty and a ten dollar bill to cover the change. well apparently the server thought the rest of the ten dollar bill was her tip. so she got almost a 50% tip. we thought it was hilarious. we just left. Guess I should have called the cops instead. oh, and she forgot my ranch. I had to remind her, twice.

Another thing, if that really bothers you, then you need to tell your server, because there was a restaurant we had NEVER been to before yesterday, the waitress brought out the tartar sauce AHEAD OF TIME WITHOUT ME REQUESTING THAT.  Servers have done this before WITHOUT my request or consent.  If condiments on the table bother you that much, then you need to wait until your food arrives to ask for them then.

I never said it bothers me either way. I just said I prefer it with or after. Duh.

If you rather it after, you'd rather have your order wrong, sitting waiting to eat let's say your sandwich or burger for several MINUTES, WHY? I am not understanding that one?

You'd rather sit there while EVERYONE ELSE is eating to WAIT to eat because you don't have your condiments, WHY?
  • Seriously lmfao that every example involves ranch dressing at some point

She was born in 1977 according to herself elsewhere on the interwebz.

@springs1 eats only 500 calories on Fridays so she can gear up for her weekend of eating out. So she wants her condiments immediately because she is starving and wants to eat NOW.

    I learned this with Google.

amazing what you can find on the interwebz.

  • Good lord. Get a freaking grip. If you get this pissed off about when your fucking ranch shows up maybe just maybe you should stay home and prepare your own food. Just a thought because you're definitely way over reacting. WAY ***WAY*** OVERREACTING !!!!!!!

You may end up giving yourself a heart attack.

I mean sure there are instances where a lower tip may be acceptable... having to ask for your ranch twice isn't one of them. @Springs1

  • @springs1. I would hate to go around life with the negative attitude that you have. Please leave our board.

Did daddy leave mommy for a waitress?
  • Can you imagine this person @springs1 behind the wheel in traffic? I would pay money to see her losing her shit.

Also, I love ranch, but not on every bite of food. I predict this poor woman/man dies of a heart attack or heart failure before the age of 45.

I also wonder how many gallons of ranch she consumes daily? I know she is married. Her husband must be an extraordinarily patient (or deaf) man. I would be mortified to dine with someone like this.

Whoa, I thought we didn't do this here. Even if they're crazy hoars, we don't post identifying info about people.

I figured since it was easily found on google by typing in her screen name, it was fair game. My bad.
