If I have to ask for it twice, it was because the server didn't take TWO TIMES they could have brought it out, but didn't either before or checked it *BEFORE* they left the kitchen. If they didn't bring the food out, they still had that option to bring it out BEFOREHAND!
But my condiments are the ONLY WAY I WANT TO TAKE ONE TASTE OF MY FOOD, OTHERWISE, DON'T BRING ME MY FOOD! I REFUSE to eat it without what makes it taste good.
Um I love ranch. I'm just not 'in love' with it. You seem to have 2 unhealthy obsessions... 1. Ranch 2. Belittling wait staff.
Please chill.. all that ranch is sure to be clogging up some portion of your arteries you don't want your blood pressure to get too high.
I have NEVER called a server a name. That's just mean. I call people here names because you all don't seem to have common sense like saying you want your order wrong. I mean WHY did you order the damn condiments in the first place if you don't want your server to POSSIBLY bring them out ahead of time, DUH? I mean, that's silly if you want your order wrong, go ahead, be my guest, I DON'T! That's why I order it *WITH* my food. I don't like my food getting cold or cooler by the minute WAITING to eat. At times, servers get called over, other situations happen, at times I have waited over 5 minutes to eat ONE taste of my food the way I wanted it. I ordered it that way because that's how I ONLY like the taste of the food. I don't want to eat it without the condiments.
Let's say if there's a bunch of obvious mistakes on the plate, THEN I am not as nice saying "I ordered this and I ordered this without pickles(pickles were on TOP the bun in one situation with OUR OWN WAITER BRINGING out the food), because if they have THAT MANY DUH mistakes on ONE PLATE, then THEY ARE BEING MEAN TO ME FIRST BY NOT *******************************CARING******************************* IF WHAT THEY ARE BRINGING ME IS OBVIOUSLY RIGHT OR WRONG! They don't care about wasting my time. They don't care if I am happy with my order correct or not. They want that tip at the end, so it hurts me when they don't care by SHOWING IT like that. So yeah, if it's a bunch of mistakes on the plate that are extremely obvious, I may not be as nice about it, but I am not saying it mean. As I said before, similar to the waitress I said at Bennigan's but not as harsh.
Once, I did ask "where's the potato salad" when OUR waitress brings out a salad for my husband as it came(with a certain dressing of course) and a burger for me(I had asked for her to bring the mayo and mustard out ahead of time which she complied, but I shouldn't have to), so she must have not compared her written order to the food to miss an entire bowl of potato salad when she only had to bring out 3 items. Turns out, it wasn't on our check. She didn't point out that she got it comped, so she most likely didn't put it in the order as to why it didn't appear. Instead of her admitting she forgot, she LIED to my face saying that the kitchen staff wanted to wait until the food was ready to bring it. I know that's a LIE! Potato salad is scoop and that's it. I even had it as an appetizer once at the same restaurant. The reason why I reacted that way is HOW the hell did she miss an entire bowl of potato salad if she TRULY COMPARED HER WRITTEN ORDER TO THE FOOD with only 3 ITEMS to bring out? As I said before, she already brought the mayo and the mustard. I also forgot to mention I had ranch for the bread already, so I didn't need any since normally I'd eat ranch with fries anyway, not potato salad.
I am tired of the servers that aren't showing they *CARE* about if they get your order right, because they *EXPECT* 20% or more. It's not right to expect that and not *TRY YOUR BEST* to CARE about if you get my order right or not. If this was fast food like McDonald's with no tipping, I would 100% understand not giving a care if my order was right or not, but when you are making a tip, you want the person to PAY you well, so you SHOULD CARE if you WANT THE CUSTOMER TO CARE BACK TOWARDS YOU WHEN IT COMES TIP TIME that you only make $2.13/hr.
I didn't answer, because I had been watching football and doing other things like talking to my mother on the phone, etc.
Do you eat ranch at home or just when you eat out?
Fun fact, my parents live next to an elderly retired couple. The wife is almost completely blind now. The husband never learned how to cook. Soo they go out to eat for every single meal, every single day. I wonder how much they have spent in tips. hmmm.

Come on guys, we don't know her lyfe. All waits staff everywhere are out to get her and make sure she has a poor fining experience... everyone should know that mistakes are unacceptable. For God's sake we all know she's never fucked up at her job. I bet if she did she'd still expect to be paid. You know so she could still fund her ranch habit. Her sort of asshattery is super special.

Your name-calling does not offend me.
What does offend me is your attitude. My SO is a server and I was a server for years. There's a lot that goes on "behind the scenes" that you don't understand. There are food runners and expos who often send food out who don't pay the same attention to detail as the server may. There are hosts who are responsible for timing the seating of the restaurant to ensure they don't crash the servers or the kitchen. There are rules and standards that each restaurant implements that must guide the server.
You don't know about these things. But when bitches like you "tip according to poor service," which honestly sounds like a perception issue (read: you're a miserable cow who is never happy), you are literally affecting my SO's ability to feed our kids. He's a good server and he busts his ass at work. He deserves to be compensated appropriately and my family deserves to be provided for.
I mean, does he go down to the corner where you work and demand a lower fee because the head you give is sub-par?
So get a hobby, get a life, and go fuck yourself.
