So basically she's getting all the attention because she's mostly naked?

    FANTASTIC.

Only mostly naked women are worthy of internet attention.  That's not misogynistic AT ALL.

I never said who was worthy/not worthy of receiving attention. You're more than welcome to go to the gym, take a picture of yourself working out with a slogan above it, post it on facebook and see if it makes national news.
Making national news doesn't mean she's making a difference or starting positive discussions about fitness/diet/obesity that will motivate people to make changes. Instead she's made people angry and she's come across as very judgmental. This image doesn't make me want to work out and get fit. This makes me roll my eyes at her. Talking about "excuses" doesn't make me work out at night. Offending people and implying (or straight up saying) that they're making excuses and setting bad examples for their children and screwing their children for life because they'll imitate their mommy's bad habits isn't starting a productive conversation about obesity and health and fitness.

Maybe that doesn't motivate you and i can certainly see why some people would be put off. The truth of the matter is she has nearly 200k people following her so obviously the "no excuses" message does motivate some. If she offended a million people but motivated 1% of her followers to take a look at themselves and make some positive changes, then its worth it.
I see so many people trashing her approach. What do you think is a better way to bring to light how few moms are fit? What do you think will motivate moms who have poor eating habits and little to no exercise in their life to make positive changes?
"Hey guys. Hey.  I know lyfe is hard and sometimes it gets you down.  Exercise is a great way to make yourself feel better, both emotionally and physically.  I have three small kids. I know how hard it is.  Making the time for yourself to work out is an important way to maintain your sanity as well as (possibly) shrinking your waistline.   Start with exercising 10 minutes a day three days a week and work yourself up to an hour.  You can do it!"

Of course, that's not nearly as sexy as seeing her in spandex so it wouldn't have gotten her as many views.  She's now known because of her douchebaggery, not for her compassion.  So she's not the person to look up to or use as a motivator.  Hell, Jillian Michaels is a better motivator that she is, and Jillian admits she's a bitch.

Eh, I perused her fb page a bit because of the controversy. She does have some good stuff in there. She promotes gradual weight loss, talked about starting at 2300 calories and slowly decreasing to 1500-1800, gave details of exercises that help scrupled, etc. i think she used a sexy pic to gain notoriety but there's some good there.

  • But she destroyed any good message she had with those three words.

Again, she wouldn't have nearly as much FB traffic if it wasn't for those three words, so I guess it's important for her interwebs traffic than actually helping other people.

  • I can't believe attempts at a serious engagement are still happening in here.

I have little self control. I'm now focused on the penis size thing.

I don't even dislike @KC_13 but I just feel like it's a useless argument to attempt.  In the entire time I've ever posted here, she's never swayed from her opinions.  I don't think she's being out of line in here, but I don't agree with her.

Mostly, I'm here to discuss penis size, raisins, cream cheese, rubberbands in the butthole and tanning.

I think KC, like MK, both don't understand the idea that being condescending is not the way to get a point across.  I liked CG's version of motivation much better, and think I'll hit the gym today because of it.

So true. I reapply often and still burn. Stupid ginger skin.

That's the case for you. Some people are motivated by tough love. I'm just sayin there are 200k people who think differently and may have gotten a kick in the ass to jumpstart their journey to healthy living based on that so thats a win in my eyes. I think the picture is bringing up an important issue that we should be talking about so I can respect that too.

  • I don't like ham. There. I said it. The only acceptable way to eat pig meat is through bacon and sausage, imo.

I just ate cream cheese on burnt toast. Sometimes I eat it with a spoon. And once when I had PMS, I dipped Gerber cheetos into it.

This is fucking awful, but for some reason makes me love you.
