Detroit to Vegas - $300+ for flight

Detroit to Gatlinberg - about 9 hour drive. Don't make me calculate the gas mothafuckas.

Detroit to the Dells - about a 7 hour drive.

What about Chicago? Are there cool cabin options around there somewhere?

I've checked. Southwest can get me there (ish). People will be upset about whatever location chosen. Hopefully it can be cheapish and close to airports or rides and we can all just have fun. If we plan it in advance, we can start saving (money, ww points, bail money, ect). I'll bring some desserts, since parties need chocolate.

They also fly into Milwaukee. From MKE it's just under a 3 hr drive. Or we could carpool from MKE since I live 25ish minutes from the airport.

Check Southwest. It's usually pretty cheap. Do options flying into MKE or MLPS and you can car pool with those of us that live in those places. :-)

I'm worried about flying to Minnesota in the middle of winter. My luck I'd get a caught in a blizzard and miss the whole weekend.

Lol, I doubt anyone in NC would fly to Gatlinburg though. It isn't very far to drive, especially if you are in western NC.

Breakdown:

Vegas: Can't do it. Would end up costing me over $700 in the end.

Gatlinburg: 1.5 hours of driving... Like $10 in gas. Prius FTW.

Dells: 13 hours; $70 in gas

KY: 5 hours; $25 in gas

I would totally drive if it was cheaper, but that just adds length to the trip, not sure how long I can leave DH with the boys, plus, I'm still nursing.

I don't think he is worried about my safety when I do internet meet ups, more about the boys. Since this is kid free, I don't think he will care. Although, if we do Vegas he may fear what shenanigans would go down.

I can't speak to my work travel schedule or DH's very far in advance. I know I could do a late October trip. I won't book anything for next year until later.
