It was an epic night. I stayed off the interwebz, I paid attention to him, we put the boys to bed and it was just... over. I left him on the couch and didn't kiss him when he left this morning. I feel like being a b!tch.
I have someone coming over today with her two daughters for a playdate today. This oughta be interesting... I'm not interested.
Um. What is this f'uckery? I'd feel like being a b!tch too. *grumble, grumble*
I'm always pissed when I get turned down... I can only imagine how he feels when I turn him down all the time... Lol
LOL, this is a bit of a common double-standard, isn't it? I mean, women do have a lot more justifiable reasons to turn down sex than men do (periods, period.), and men do generally want it more often. But still. I know there are times when I've just been like, "I'm pissed off at you for being an insensitive jerk. No sex for you." Yet I get really pissed off when my own advances are rebuffed.
I think it's mostly because I'm under the general impression that men always want to have sex, though. And the times I've been turned down have usually been in conjunction with video game playing and/or nerdy movie-watching. Um, what? You're turning me down so you can pretend to be Master Chief running around in a virtual playland with a bunch of spotty basement-dwellers? F'uck you, then. @sshole.
ETA: And then he'd better not even try to cozy up to me at 4 am, after he's turned off the PS3, and try to get a quickie when I'm trying to sleep. Them's fightin' actions.
Jay has never been able to keep up with my sex drive. Ever. No contest. Not even close. Never.

Randoms:1 DH's afro is HUGE right now. He hasn't had a hair cut in close to 6 months. He stopped wearing it in a fro and just lets it be naturally curly Think Arby's curly fries, lol. I can't wait to see it all "fro'd" out, and I hope he will do it soon.2 DS can make a kazoo work, play a harmonica, blow bubbles in his bath water, and almost whistle.nbsp;3 My brother and I are 11.5 months apart. So I have a confession. I like to take things out of context on purpose because I think it's funny. I understand the actual context, I just like to pretend I don't - does that make sense? But I usually just giggle internally and never actually vocalize my nerdy hobby.

But I have two friends (they're brother and sister, actually) who can't hold a conversation without purposely taking one or more items of conversation out of context and making a big joke out of it. I find it really annoying. Does that make me a hypocrite?

I don't think so, honestly. At least, not since the board became just us regulars. Maybe back when we all got our BFPs and the board a sh!tload of daily lurkers/posters. But since we all had our kids? Nahp. Don't think so.

ETA: It could probably be used frequently on the tri boards, though. And there are times when it could be appropriate on the April '13 board, just because there is occasional drama.

Hey-o! Somebody picked up my one-hour shift for today, so I am actually cleaning up like a responsible person, knowing there won't be a one-hour interruption in my groove. Funny how that works.

Back from getting Soph's labs done. These lab techs and doctors never believe me when I warn them how freakishly strong and loud she is. Me: Um, she's pretty strong, you may want to get another nurse. Lab Guy: Oh, I'm not worried, we do this everyday. He touches her arm, she freaks and starts wailing. Lab Tech: Hang on, I'm going to get back up. Me: I warned you. Lab tech, 2 nurses and myself holding down my lunatic child. That was a blast.

Depends. I would start by covering the basics: buy a house (make that our dream house depending on how much we win) and furnish it. I would also pay off debt (car loans, mostly).

Then, depending what's left, I may or may not quit my job, hire a maid, hire a personal trainer, get a boob job, take the kids to Disney (well, I won't wait for the lottery for that one!)...

If it were a significant amount of money, I think I would give a certain amount to my immediate family (including DH's of course), and charity, of course.

Also, am I the only one who feels like "Charity" is the ultimate lottery winner cliche the same way "World Peace" is the ultimate beauty pageant cliche?

No, I'm aware of the cliche. I just think that if I won the lottery and didn't donate I'd be a huge poop. Mostly because there are a lot of causes that I "support" as in, I agree with them and wish them the best because I am too poor to donate, and if I had actual, real, available money to give and didn't then I'd officially be a total douchecanoe.
