I can't stand when people post about what they're making for dinner (or made and how they thought it was SO good) on FB. Ex: "I made Salmon with roasted broccoli and salted caramel pie for dinner- YUM!". I have no idea why this drives me insane, but it does. I guess because it's like everyone thinks they're a master chef because they got a recipe from Pinterest. It's even worse when they post pictures. However, I really enjoy the WFD posts here.
I'll add that it even annoys me when people do this IRL. Everyday at lunch I hear about how so and so made salmon the night before with roasted asparagus etc..like can't we find better things to talk about?

Heres a UO: Judging people on how they chose to feed their children is old, and stupid. As long as you aren't starving your children I don't give an eff what you feed them and when you feed it to them.

i don't have my own uo (like usual) but i'm gonna hijack everyone elses....
i eat greek yogurt. i've been on ww off and on for 4 yrs and they always said to eat it....no one i know does. then a coworker brought it in and told me to try it. i love the chobani raspberry, peach, and pomagrant.
i read twiliight, couldn't stand how poorly it was wrtiiten, but got caught up in the romance/story. now i've read 2.5 of the hunger games books in 2 weeks. a friend told me to read them last yr, i goot a nook for christmas, and needed something to read (and they don't have hp in the ebooks ) i highly reccomend it, i love the story
that's alli feel like writing....i can't get ellie to eat her peas and green beans...they're all over her face......blah
I hate it when people base their uo's off of people they dont like. Makes them look really sad.
But she's better than all of us, don't cha know?
Is this about me? Just for the record, I dont really care what you do, and/or how you feed your child. I just said that I'd probably judge you for it. And I'm sure you'd judge me for things I do that you dont agree with. Anyway, I'm not going to let it ruffle my feathers. It was my opinion, and as the saying goes, "Opinions are like armpits, Everyone has them, and some of them stink. (and some of them are hairy!)

Wear them to work, (its a martial arts school, so it works)
Even wore them to jury duty with nice sweaters for 3 weeks last year. Still wonder if I should have pointed out my pregnancy during jury selection. but that was neccesary
I do have a chance to dress up Friday and I wont wear them. promise.

No, I'm sorry for the confusion.
Ok Thanks...I was just like...Woah. I didnt mean to piss somebody off because I had an opinion! haha!
I honestly judge people who BF after 1. If your child is old enough to ask for it, they probably dont need it. Plus, all the antibodies that your child needs from BM they will have by 6mo. I'm not planning on giving formula after 1 year. He'll switch to Whole milk.
Good for you. My DD and DS both started signing milk at roughly 6 months so I guess I should have switched DD to formula or cows milk and DS to expensive as sin elemental formula (since he is allergic to dairy).
I'll proudly BF DS for as long as it is mutually desired. BM also doesn't lose its nutritive value at some arbitrary date, be that 6 months or 12 months.
Headbands with flowers bigger than a babys head are obnoxious, and I like headbands just as much as the next guy (girl, whatever)
I agree. I know some of you like it and have pics of it in your siggy, but it just looks silly to me. But then, I know people who think the same about Baby Legs, and I love them.
. I agree, right down to the Baby Legs! By the way, this might sound creepy, but I didn't know what those were until I saw your DD wearing them in your old siggy pic. That was several months ago, and now we are so hooked. So thank you (and your DD) for inspiring us to get some Baby Legs!
I cannot stand when you are having a conversation with someone and they constantly have to one up you...or when people name drop or talk about how much money they have/make or how smart they are. Example: Used to know a guy who dated a friend of mine who would was selling home security systems and would talk about how he could make $1,000 a day, I mean really, home security systems and make $1000 a day!!! I guess I chose the wrong profession. I feel like if you have to talk about it chances are either A. its not true or B. you have some insecurity issues.

This reminds me that I really miss those Penelope sketches from SNL. Kristen Wiig would always one up everyone and it was hilarious!
Another UO is when people have a holier-than-thou attitude because they BF or CD. Good for you I am happy for you that you enjoy BFing or that you CD. However, implying that I am less of a mother or person or a bad person because I don't is condesending and rude. I don't CD because I don't want to, and I don't BF anymore because I hated it. I do what is right for my family and for my baby and I am a fantastic mother I'll have you know.

Speaking for myself only, I don't care what parenting choices others make for their children as long as your child is healthy and happy.
However, it cuts both ways hardcore. You're saying you feel judged by BFers or CDers because you don't do those things. BFers and CDers get judged by people who don't do them (trust me - I do both and I hear it all. the. time.). It shouldn't be "I hate when BFers and CDers judge people", it should be "I hate when people judge others who parent differently than them."
This x 1,000,000! Definitely goes both ways. I think sometimes people get way on the defensive over a parenting decision that is the polar opposite of theirs and feel the need to immediately get defensive over it.

Im actually proud as hello kitty that I have never had a baby on my boob for a single second!
Neat.
I did not realize Hello Kitty was known for her pride. I really wish I could have gotten the swing of breast feeding, I sucked at it. Which brings me to MY UO: I love pumping!!!

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that before. I am impressed!
As far as BF and FF go, BM is only superior to formula for your child if you can actually make it and give it to him or her. If you can't, then formula is far better. If I tell some people that I FF, I get judged. What they don't know is that I damn near killed myself trying to BF him. I rented a hospital pump in addition to my own pump, BFed and then pumped, took prescription medication, ate oatmeal until I almost turned into an oat, drank tons of water a day, and on and on and on. For some reason, it just didn't work. I had to choose between not feeding him or feeding him formula. I fed him formula. Anyone who judges me for that is blessed enough to have never been in my situation.
I would never judge someone for trying and not being successful at it. I'm sorry it didn't work and hopefully it will with LO#2.

UO: My child is on donated BM and I am proud of it. She was not a preemie and does not have a medical condition. It's just the BEST thing I can do for her. So, in addition to the 10-12oz a day I can produce for her she gets 17ish oz of donated human milk.
I'd also like to add that she has had formula. I'm in no way saying formula is evil and will kill your child. I have enfamil to go packets in my diaper bag just in case and she was supplemented with similac for almost a month.

You mean formula is better than starving. Impossible, who spread this propaganda!
I'm very passionate about breastfeeding when possible, but as someone who struggled with supply with my first I hate when people judge without knowing the whole story. I now EBF DS as well as pump and donate to my Goddaughter, but had a mom "call me out" the other day for feeding DS formula when it was actually pumped BM. Boy was she red when I explained that I am not only feeding him BM, but another child as well.

I didn't realize how big it was from the picture online. Oh well. Is it bigger than I normally go for, yep. But it's more a prop to me, not something I would put her in every day. It's cute to me.
Having said that, I love Baby Legs, but I never use DD's b/c they cut the circulation off to her chubby thighs.

Thank you for sharing this, AG. I had a similar experience with BFing, and despite my strong desire for it to work for us, it didn't. I was depressed about it for a long time. If I had known more about donated milk I may have taken the same route that ohdrama took, but I didn't and so DS is FF. He's completely healthy and happy, and I doubt any of our children will be asked on their college entrance exams if they were BF'd, FF'd, CD'd or wore disposables.
