  I will add my voice to that one. After 2 years or IF and being ready to give up we finally got PG (randomly and naturally after several failed treatments). Every person who wants to deserves to have a child. I hate the fact that most helath insurence refuses to cover IF treatments.

I truly do understand that infertility can be devastating but - especially in the extreme cases - having a baby is not a right. Maybe there is a reason that you were not meant to carry a child. There are so many children already here who need caring homes...

  IF in no way equals unfit parent. To say that people who have problems conceiving just aren't meant to have a child of their own is ignorant! They aren't being punished for their sins, they just have a medical condition. You wouldn't say someone with a terminal medicial condition wasn't meant to live... everyone deserves to fight for what they want, whether that is a baby or to live for another 5 months!

  I have unexplained IF and I am very open to treatment or adoption...  but I can't afford either.  I have coverage for IUIs, but not IVF.  My IVFs would range from $14,000 to $20,000 and an adoption would be $25,000 to $40,000. 

  I am smart, independent, stable; DH and I own our own home.  I am a middle school teacher and have dreamed about having children my whole life. 

  What is the *right* path for me, oh wise one, PregnantPause and FrauElyse??
