Ditto. And more hugs. I hope it turns out okay!!
  • I'm so so sorry.  For me, it was just like a heavier period, but shorter.  I had to go in twice, a few days apart, to check my levels and make sure they were going down.  They also checked to make sure it wasn't ectopic, but if you already had an ultrasound, that probably wouldn't apply.

    Big huge hugs to you.

  • oh no, I'm so sorry.  I wish I could give you a hug, I'm sending you lots and lots of them.
  • Oh sweetie **hugs** If it were me, I would at least call the on call doctor and go in for the blood draw tomorrow.  I had a cramping/spotting combo with two of my pgs, one turned out bad and one turned out good (Griffin).

If you want to talk, please don't hesitate to message me.

    **more hugs**

  • ((Hugs))  I'm so sorry this is happening to you.
  • I'm so sorry, B.

  • I'm so, so sorry.

It doesn't hurt AT ALL to call the on-call doctor - that's what they're there for.

For me, it was just a super-heavy period.  It lasted about the normal length of time for me (8 or 9 days) but I have crazy long periods normally.

    Lots of hugs!!!

Oops - this is abh1977, not Niki.  I'm just on her computer.

  • I would call the oncall doctor, just in case.  I've never had an "active" m/c, just a missed one and an ectopic, so I am no help.

    I'm so sorry.  :(

  • I'm so so sorry you are dealing with this.  :(

  • I'm so sorry, that really sucks.  They will want to see you to do a blood draw and make sure your hcgs are going down and you'll have to keep on going in until they go negative.  My bleeding lasted almost 3 weeks, and my emotions were really crazy until the hcgs were fully gone.
  • I'm so sorry:(

  • Oh no, B :-(  I'm so, so sorry!
I had some spotting that became heavier and turned into what felt like a regular period.  My dr had me come in to confirm, then they wanted to keep checking to make sure my levels were going down.

  • I'm so sorry you're experiencing this.  I would go in for the blood work, it couldn't hurt to have the information.  Hugs.

  • I'm so sorry. For me, they wanted me to come in for a sonogram to check that it wasn't tubal. They also did bloodwork that day and then 2 days later. I have to go back at 2 weeks to check levels again. Physically, it wasn't too bad. Like a bad period. It was about 2 days after the bleeding started that I passed the tissue/clot and I definitely had more cramping before that. Then it really tapered off. Im so sorry you have to deal with this. Hugs.
  • That sucks! I'm sorry. Not to give you false hope, but I had the same thing happen at 6 weeks and it turned out not to be a miscarriage.

    Best of luck!

  • I'm so very sorry. I'll keep you in my T&P.
    Dear Bump: You suck.

  • Boooo.  Sorry, love.

  • I'm sorry and wish you weren't in this situation.

I can't help you with what to expect. I had a missed miscarriage, so the baby had stopped growing several days earlier. I had a D&C without any bleeding or cramping beforehand. The D&C was very easy physically (if you have to go that route).

  • I, too, am so so sorry.  I agree that it doesn't hurt to call the on-call OB.  My two m/cs were like heavy periods.  If that's what it is, there isn't a lot they can do.  It's one of the worst feelings in the world, I know.  Please know you are in my prayers!  (((hugs)))

  • I'm so sorry. So many of us have been there. It is not easy. I hope you have stopped crying.

  • thanks everyone.

I called the dr office and they routed me to the on call dr.

I went in and they did an ultrasound and yeah, empty ute. He said it shouldn't take more than a day or two and to go ahead and get my blood drawn again tomorrow.

I haven't felt so comfortable with any of the other doctors I've seen here. He was super comforting. I think I'm going to change to his office. So maybe something good has come of it :)

It's also easier knowing the gestational sac had been empty two days ago.

Thanks so much for your warm thoughts and good wishes everyone!

    *hugs*
