Nest Annie banished us their. We originally tried to start posting on Entertainment, but they got their knickers all in a twist that we were initiating a "hostile takeover" so the nest moved all of our posts to the Caribbean. I think we've been successful with this move though.

. I'm glad to here your DD adjusted. He was fine the first 2 days but then today and yesterday he screams and crawls for the door faster then I can walk out of it when dropping him off. It breaks my heart really. So hopefully in a couple more week he should be good!
I know we headbutted a bit a few days ago, but I'll join in, and try to make it short and sweet
I "officially" came over on Monday. I'm 28, a SAHM. My house is itty bitty and feels even smaller because it's a zoo with the baby, my DH, two pups (huskies) and my BIL who lives with us. I LOVE baking and I enjoy trying new but easy recipes when cooking (DH gets home late usually so we eat late. Fast recipes are best) but I am definitely more into baking. DH hates his job, hope he finds a better one soon. We live in NJ but we have been talking recently about possibly moving because the cost of living here is rediculous. I like heavy/hard rock with some metal and industrial thrown in. The one band that I love that throws everyone for a loop though is Hanson. Have since '97.

Um... because millions of dogs are put to death each year because there aren't enough homes for them largely because of irresponsible people like you who don't spay and neuter. Way to be a part of the problem.

I'm new to this board but have been around since 1st Tri. I tend to lurk more than post, due to work. :-( My DH and I love the outdoors so we spend most our time out there if possible, be it camping, skiing (water and snow), or just plain hanging out. Grew up on a farm and can't wait til we can move out into the country!
eta: Oh and our DD was born on our 1 yr anniversary :-)
I can't imagine that there are still people who don't spay and neuter their pets. And boomer, how long do we have to post on this board before we can call someone irresponsible?
Yeah, seriously. I'm all for adoption but you don't know the situation, you don't know how it came to be, etc. What if they showed the dog? (can't spay and neuter them...) and an oops happened. Or many other situations that could have happend. Like they got her and before she could be spayed she got KU by accident, or what if they adopted a pregnant dog? So many situations that you don't know, think before you judge.
It's ok Dnett, my one dog that we got last year was pregnant when we got her, it was an oops situation too. We didn't realize till a little bit after we got her and our friends we got her from took her back in to welp the pups and then we brought her back home. If anyone understands how oops's happen before you can prevent them I'm one!
I'm sorry my first debate isn't whether or not I should implement CIO or something else that is completely inconsequential to the rest of society.
Haha! Ok thanks for education PETA. I don't ever recall saying I was giving the puppies away to anyone so they could be put down. And I'm not irresponsible, thank you very much.
like pp stated, you don't know her situation with her pets. why do you care? is she dropping puppies off at your door step? i agree people should spay/neuter but there are also acceptable reasons that people don't. how many animals have you rescued?

I'm mostly a lurker. I posted on high-risk when I was on bedrest and that was about it. I'm a nurse in the operating room. Sometimes I bump from work during long surgeries from my droid. I'm also training for a triathalon in April, eeek!! My LO loves to say dada, boo.

I care because I spend a lot of time and money cleaning up these types of messes. Unless she is a reputable breeder with a championed bltch or a foster who pulled a pregnant dog from a shelter (both of which she would have already stated) she is an irresponsible pet owner. Even if the impossible happened and one of my dogs got knocked up, I would do a spay/abort immediately. There is NO excuse to bring more puppies into this world.

I work FT in the Compliance department of my company. My DS is going to be 7 months next week. I'm married to a wonderful man who has been the love of my life for almost 8 years now. Although, he can be a real pain in the arse sometimes. We have two American Bulldogs and two cats.

Hello New friend!
Hello all...I guess I am considered new too since I hardly post anything its funny when I want to post something its been posted already and I get my answer!
I own my own business a dog grooming shop in South Texas just about 25 miles outside Houston and I have 2 daughters Ivy is 10 yrs and Zoe is 12 months, been married almost 11 yrs and I have 3 dogs and a cat. I'm a pretty calm person, I love to hang out with my family and friends. I love country music and mostly all music but country is my main love. Even tho I just got Bret Michaels tickets!! WHOOOP! I love ALL animals!! Anyways, thats about sums me up. O and I love Jersey Shore and all the Housewives! LOL
Like many others I am usually a lurker. I have work computer woes (slow computer) that usually hampers me from posting more often. I am trying to participate more, though now that some of computer slowness is being resolved and work is a bit quiet.
Quinn Luca, my DD, will be 9 mos next week. I work for a nonprofit leadership development organization. I am also a raging liberal, have a MA in peace and conflict studies and lived in Northern Ireland for awhile. I walked a marathon once, then did the Breast Cancer 3-day twice, and am now thinking of walking another marathon.
You're going to need that degree in peace and conflict studies to post with this group, lol.
So I'm a total lurker and have been around since first tri.
I'm a SAHM to Eleanor 10 months. We are pretty bored this winter with all this snow.

ETA: Also, I'm 21, and married since 2009.I am a SAHM to Isiah born 5/20/10, and expecting #2 5/9/11. I'm planning a home birth this time. I'm one of six children. I really, really love chocolate. And I'm sort of a movie snob. I also play piano and guitar.
