I'm a SAHM, although if the right job presented itself with a decent salary then I might go back to work. I'm 30 years old and have been married for almost 5 years (this July). I also have two dogs, both are cocker spaniels. We also have a "stray" cat that I've been feeding for 3+ years named "Kitty" (original, huh?!).

I don't think I can handle two dogs with kids but I have two cats. Nice to meet you

Nice to meet you, too.
They are past the puppy stage, so they usually sleep all day. If they were still puppies I don't think I could handle it, either.
I'm new over here, just came over yesterday. I've been trying to figure out what is going on over here, lol. I post a bit, lurk alot. I'm a SAH Mom to my 2 boys for another month then off to work pt for my hubby. Not getting much sleep yet so things aren't always puppies and rainbows but I love being a Mom and feel blessed that I get to have a job outside the house and still have my days at home with the kids. I feel like everything is falling into place and it gets better everyday.
I've only recently been board straddling. DD is only 8 months, but I'm a rebel like that. I consider myself more of a Nestie than a Bumpie though. I just can't talk about babies all day long, even my own.
I'm a raging liberal, married for almost 5 years, one child, two dogs and usually enjoy board drama but the last couple weeks' saga really bored me. I did the whole "jump to an off board" thing years ago from the Knot, so I'm confident the Bump isn't going anywhere just b/c of a mass exodus. Plus, I have no real ties to anyone around here, so there's no love lost.
I'm a lurker, I just never knew the right time to jump in. I guess now is! I am a SAHM to 3 which is somewhat new so I am still trying to adjust. My husband is a chef so he works on average a 15 hr day, 6 days a week so I normally use the bump for company when the kids are asleep. I will try to be more active instead of lurking in the shadows.
I'm here because 1. 6-9 is truly dead and 2. I feel bad everyone left. I feel like 9-12 is an underdog now because the "popular" girls left.
When I'm not bumping I am staring blankly or working. I used to be an artist. Now I have a baby and a full time job. I read trashy romances in the tub.
Yankee, I don't think you are intimidating.
This wasn't supposed to be about if I'm intimidating or not. I really just want to meet new people. What do you do for work?

Hi! My name is Emily. I have been on the bump since they created it (Alex was a baby). I have 3 girls - Alex is 5, Taylor is 3 and Dylan is 9 mo. I am a SAHM and active in Moms Club. I love to cook and bake, enjoy my coffee and like to walk, run and camp in the warmer months.

Everyone left for an off-board. Everyone is great over there, but I think that I am going to stick around here because there are other boards that I post on here. Hopefully, it picks back up soon...

woot. We need more raging liberals with nest connections around here. What boards do you frequent?

I was right there with you until you got to the part about running and camping. Not a fan of either, but I will have to learn to love to camp for DS and DH.

I'm new-ish to this board. I tend to stay out of drama though so I haven't been posting much.
I hate to admit it but I'm a puppies and rainbows kind of girl most days. I should also admit I've been lurking here and reading 1st birthday posts since DD was about 6 months. I'm a little obsessed with it.

I'm new here. I have posted before but usually just lurk. I am a SAHM and I love it. Also, I like you Yankee -- I appreciate your blatant honesty, it's refreshing!

I am on the higher ed gravy train and watching the Wisconsin situation carefully. How about you? I should be writing the great american novel but instead I am bumping.
I'm in immigration. Have you met Nasty? I think she's writing a novel

Normally no, but he has been on a healthy food kick lately so he has been making some pretty yummy stuff. Plus he would never admit it but I know he doesn't particularly like when I cook because I am not very good at it.

I'm a Pets regular, Politics (though I'm not nearly as wise and eloquent as Irish, so I wouldn't call myself a regular poster) and Money Matters regular lurker/sometimes poster. I used to be much more vocal, but work has picked up in the past few months-so I actually have to do things that warrant my paycheck;(

Re: so who just came over to this board?
bullshiit. I'm practically begging them to post how the heck is that intimidating?
i don't mean right this second! i mean in general, overall, you can be intimidating. they may be scared of you.
I'm new, although I mostly lurk.

I'm just a post whore. Nothing intimidating here. Saw a bunch of new names (mcrib makes me gag) and wondering who's new.
This. I've been scared of you since 0-3 months.
I don't think I can handle two dogs with kids but I have two cats. Nice to meet you
my cat is named kitty! and he was also a stray when we got him.
ok, i'm done hijacking yanker's post.
Nothing scary about me. I guess you just moved over. Hi.
Nice to meet you, too.
They are past the puppy stage, so they usually sleep all day. If they were still puppies I don't think I could handle it, either.
Nothing to post about either. You may have joined us at the wrong time. We used to be fun.

Off board exodus. They'll be back. Post more, lurk less.

I am cuddly and I love to be spooned.

I've been here for a little while - I just don't post a lot.
A little about me - I have been married since 2009, work from home and spend most of my free time shirking responsibility so I can lurk on the Bump.
I also have 2 rescue dogs, run and do yoga.
You sound like you have your hands full. What's Mom's club?

Done
Even went back and added some stuff about myself. That sucks that people bolted, hopefully they will be back I hate when the board is super slow.
