DS' infant car seat limits are 22 lbs for weight and 29 inches for height. He was 19lbs and was 28 inches at his last dr appt about a month ago. I was hoping to get him thru winter in the infant carseat so I didn't have to worry about getting him in/out of a convertible seat when I can just carry the infant seat.
He has a check up in a couple weeks so I will see what he weighs and how tall he is then but if he is 28 or 29 inches should I move him then or is he ok until he's actually over the limit? I know his growth isn't as rapid now that he's a little older but still not sure how fast he would grow to 29 inches tall since he's only an inch away.
Re: Time to get out of infant carseat?
I'm not sure that you'll make it through the winter. Growth is slower, but you're only talking about 1 inch. They have spurts. I guess I don't see the point in testing the manufacturer's limit. But, I also stopped carrying her in the infant seat a while ago. So for me, the convertible will actually be easier to get her in and out.
