I have never wanted Uggs before. But now I think I do. I went shoe shopping with my sister and she really wants some Uggs. So I tried some on too. And they are crazy comfortable! I never knew. But I just don't think I can spend the $$$ on them either. And are they sooooooo 5 years ago?(lol!)
Damn you Uggs and your slipper-like comfort! The shoes I'm wearing feel like they are made of wood compared to the Uggs I tried on yesterday. Does anyone own any fake Uggs that are just as good?
Re: Uggs?
I am currently wearing my black uggs to work
I LOVE THEM and don't care if they are in style or not b/c they are so warm and comfy.
I've had mine for a few years and still wear them all the time so they were well worth it to me
I live in Arkansas, so I definitely do not need the expensive ones.
I was like you...never wanted Uggs. I think they are the ugliest shoe in the world. Then I tried them on. You can't beat them...it is the only shoes that is a slipper and socially acceptable to wear in public.
I own the real deal (a few pairs) and I love them. I used to hate them - thought they were UGGly! But comfort outweighs looks. (Price, on the other hand, is one tough nut to swallow so I ask for them as gifts - like H bought me a pair for Christmas last year, Mom bought me the slippers for Christmas last year).
HOWEVER, I hear those and flip flops are not the best to wear when pg b/c there is no support. I will rock them anyway though
Just like I do the ballet flats I shouldn't be wearing!
Damn...you know I was ::this:: close to posting about some knock offs I saw on QVC yesterday but figured no one would care. They had some cute, real suede ones on sale but the sale price only lasted an hour. They are still a good deal regardless.
I will find the link...
im wearing my brown uggs with leggings right now... i am very not stylish at the moment. but boy am i comfortable. and since im rocking a bump with my pregnant lumberjack shirt... well i think i look cute.
im going to be getting a pair of knock off black ones.
but i live in WA on a military post. these people dont know style. so i might as well wear whats comfortable.

QVC also has a regular 30 day money back guarantee so if you get them, wear them for almost a month and they suck you can still return. Plus I think that is extended to the end of January as they are starting to sell for the holiday season. Don't quote me on that one though.
I JUST got a black pair yesterday from Amazon yesterday! I have them on today. I have a brown pair and another brown pair but not the traditional style. I LOVE them. I needed the black ones for the winter because I am convinced I will live in them and couldn't wear my brown ones with my black leggings :-)
For me they were worth $137 because I know they'll last for years.
Which ones are $137? The ones I want are $180

Those are cute.
I have a beige pair, and am toying with the idea of getting a black pair in the 'sweater' style this year. I don't care if they are out of style, they are so cozy!!!!
Oh, and if what my 7th grade students wear are any indication, then they are still very much IN style!

I'm wearing uggs right now. They're crazy comfortable, and that's all it took to sell me on them. I was totally anti-ugg when I was in college and they were the "thing to have."
Screw pride, my big fat legs need the comfort. I wear mine with arch supports in them and feel like I'm walking on air.

I've never owned the real deal but I've worn the Target version for 4 years - IMO they are super comfortable and they cost me about $25. I don't think they last as long as the real Uggs but they lasted me about 4 years and I just threw them away becaue I wore out the heel. I fully plan on buying more in tan and black this year.
Oh, man. I forgot they made them in black. Looks like I'll be purchasing a second pair. Seriously, I always thought that they were hideous but then I bought a pair and I have totally gotten my money's worth out of them. They have lasted for years.
For this child I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him.

I didnt want Uggs because EVERYONE has them here already and I wanted something different. I have 3 pairs of the Skechers Keepsake Blur Boots

I LOVE THEM! They come in several colors. I have the natural ones above. They are fur lined and they are amazing. Best part? Super easy to slip on and off so good for pregnancy. LOVE!!!!
I heart boots of all sorts! And I heart the knock-offs- Target also has a good selection of cute and comfy boots, and they do pretty good. There's zero support in them, but I get the memory foam inserts and that does wonders for the cheap flat bottoms!
Last Janruary I was MOH in my friend's wedding, and we had an ice storm, so all of the BM's ended up wearing black uggs under our dresses- but you couldn't see them! We wore real shoes for the ceremony, but no way were we walking outside in cute, strapy shoes!!!
I live not *too* far from Arkansas, near Texarkana. Last winter, we had a surprise trip to Colorado for MusicFest- and I needed UGGs for the trip, but they were way out of my price range at the moment with the trip and all.
I found a tall knock off pair @ Sam's Club that was around $35-40.... super comfortable, good color, and my feet stayed warm and toasty while trekking through the snow!
Ooh, I didn't think about Sam's.
I bought some brown Bearpaws on Overstock last winter for about $50 to wear to Germany over Christmas break. I live on the Gulf Coast, and I am super frugal, so I couldn't justify buying the real deal. I did put a gel insert in them for support, and they were really comfy.
