I'm just wondering and from doing a bunch of reading I'm not 100% sure weight matters a lot, but I do believe it is a factor.
Samantha slept 5 and a half hours straight last night, which is certainly a record for her. nate, however, who on occasion has slept up to five hours, has been getting up every three hours for the past few nights.
TIA
Re: How much did your LO weigh when they started STTN?
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

My pedi claims once they hit around 12 pounds they start STTN or at least sleeping longer stretches.
At first I believed her, but now I don't....LOL!
DS#2 is almost 15 pounds and he still isn't STTN
:( Boo....
DS#1 was STTN at 11 weeks and he was right around 12 pounds......
Ethan was about 10 lbs, but I dont honestly think weight has any relevance. We had a google group of the moms in our birthing class, and the babies were all over the place for STTN... some did it at 1 weeks, some at 1 months, the majority didn't until well after 6 months
I think it is a milestone like any other... they just do it when they are ready
( I am not talking 5 hour stretches, I am referring to 8 hours or more)
