How long after you got married did you start TTC?

I've noticed that quite a few of you started trying right after you got married, so the question for everybody is how long after you got married did you start trying?

We started trying 1 year and 4 months after our wedding. I have to confess, though, that I now wish we had started a little earlier since it's taking us longer than I expected to get pregnant.

we had been maried for about about a year. our original plan was to start ttc right after the wedding, but some dh losing his job 2 weeks before the wedding and us deciding to start our own business delayed things.

I got married just a few days before you, 5/1/01 (we were in Mexico so getting married on a Tue was not weird). We started trying 18 months after we got married, but that was because my husband wanted to wait. We started talking about TTC 6 months after.

We waited 6 months and I also wish that we tried earlier because it is taking so long... Maybe 5 months isn't that long to some people but it feels like forever right now.

We are TTA until April. We have been married for 3 and 1/2 years. We didn't want to start a family right after we got married, we had other goals/priorities. We always planned on waiting for around our 4th anniversary to start trying.

We got pg on our honeymoon in May. It's true, I got my bfp the week after we got back. I m/c at 11.5 weeks, so after that, we waited a few months, and started again in October.

9 years. The timing just never seemed right, I was always in school, he was starting a new business.... you know time just flys by before you know it. That is why we are TTC #2 already.

On a side note, my DH said to me recentlly, "I don't know why we waited for everything to be "right". It would never be "right" in actuality. I wish we had had him sooner..."

Finally, he acknowleded what I always said... ;-)

We got legally married in December '07 (DH lost a job and needed health insurance), but didn't tell anyone until our wedding a year later (December '08). As far as our family and friends are concerned, we've only been married 2 months rather than a year and 2 months.?We actively started trying in February. So yeah...how do you count that?

The morning after the wedding, as we were driving to our honeymoon, DH looked at me and asked if we could have a baby yet. We'd always talked about it as a "sometime when we're ready" thing up to that point, so it took me a little while to wrap my head around the idea.?
