ok, I just saw this on 1st Tri so this badge is new to me.
But really? on 1st tri you aren't exploring all your options? Sorry, it just bugs me when some folks just scream epi before even looking at going naturally.
I went natural but ended up with an epi to fix my tear(although looking back, totally unneccessary). I would go natural again after having the epi.
I know there are circumstances that call for an epi, and it is a personal choice yada yada.. but this badge just really bugs me!
Re: Stab me in the back??? really?
Honestly, what do you care? Women can do whatever they want. I knew I wanted an epidural in my 1st trimester. What's it to you? Does that make me a bad person? women? Mom?
Please.
ditto. she knows she wants an epi. and this matters to you how? i always knew i was going to get an epi. am i a bad mother for not considering natural childbirth?
Why do you care?
I knew before I even CONCEIVED that I would want an epidural. And now that I've actually been through labor and I that I absolutely made the right choice and will have one with any other babies I give birth too.
Please step off your high horse.

Honestly, your badge bugs me.?
I have a high pain tolerance and went to 6cm before getting an epi. Looking back I wish I had done it sooner.
To each her own.....
THANK YOU.

lol and yup.
At my first one month checkup my ob asked me a ton of questions and the only one I really knew the anwser to was that I wanted an epi. To each their own.
Why should she try going natural if she doesn't want to? Obviously she knows what she wants, and that's just fine. I knew I wanted an epidural from the get go too. I never even thought about trying natural. I know myself well enough to know I'm not going to ever want a natural birth. I'm pretty sure I still gave birth though, and my birth was no more or less important than yours because I had an epidural.
I agree with pp, your badge bugs me too.

Bingo. I went to 5cm before getting mine b/c I just wanted to see if I could do it naturally, due to the epidural side effects that some women have. But once it became clear that I was too stressed/in pain to progress without one, I didn't hesitate. Yes, I could have learned hypnobirthing, yes I could have had other weapons in my "natural" labor arsenal...but I was ready to trust modern medicine.

I bet you hate me.
And if I ever get pregnant again- I won't even consider a VBAC.
It's not the badge that bugs me so much as the "lovin the boob" ticker. Apparently her DS didn't love the boob for the first two days? ?Or maybe he decided to see other boobs for a few days in the middle? ?If you've got an age ticker, do you need a BFing ticker too? (unless there's some sort of cool relactation/success after much effort story to justify it) Otherwise, we should care why?
Oh, and yeah, had an epi - looooved my epi. ?
The SHAME!!! (:?

Modern medicine? Yes, very helpful for many circumstances, but it doesn't need to be an automatic thing. Women can do this naturally, we have done it for centuries, childbirth doesn't need to be a medical, scary thing. Yes, there are options, that is great but I just say look into some other options.
Well, I knew that there was no way that I wanted an epi. I gave birth to my daughter without one, so I knew I could do it again. And I did.
That being said, what other people do is their decision and really none of my business.
OPTIONS.....exactly. This is her OPTION to chose an EPI. ?
Oh and my apologies... I forgot your cookie in my first post.
Here you go! *hands you a cookie I picked up off the ground*
Labor and childbirth WERN'T a scary thing BECAUSE of my epidural.

My point is not everyone has the same viewpoint as you on this subject. You wanted to go natural, great - more power to you, BUT that doesn't mean everyone else wants to or should want to. It's a personal decision.
LOL?
So? I'm a

And he watches TV. The HORROR.
EDIT: And I had an epi. Thank maude.

so, uh.....how do you know she hasn't researched? did you ask her? bc i would be glad to direct her to this post so she can defend herself (and from what i've seen of blair, you better believe she will).
I'm not normally a snarky poster but here goes...Give me your phone number so I can call "the wise one" about all my birthing options the next time I get pregnant. I wouldn't want to make my own decision. I realize now I have to run things by you and do what you think is the right way.
Seriously, get over it. Your way isn't the right and only way.
For Shame! Don't you know you have OPTIONS!!!!
Why do you care? ?I knew I'd want the drugs before I even got pregnant. ??

Ditto! I knew I wanted an epi before even getting pg
Why is 1st tri "a little soon?" Most women think about pregnancy before getting pregnant, you know. And seriously, who gives a sh!t? I think I kind of cared when I was pregnant but now that I've gone through childbirth, I couldn't care less how a woman choses to do it.
LMAO -- Spider Pig looks pretty horrified to me!
Love,

And a 'yup' from me too! How are you a 'med free birth' mom if you got an epi to 'fix your tear'? And you are gonna talk about somebody else's badge?
I had an emergency c-section but I was completely open to the idea of an epi. I admire people that go med free, but I also admire modern medicine.
Quit judging people.
I would also like to add that 'Stab me in the back' IS a dumb badge, IMO. But I dislike all badges.
Big fat ditto! Couldn't agree more!
