I agree with this, however they probably aren't celebrating the true reason for Christmas. I don't like when people only go to church on Holidays. I go to church year round and I know when I go Christmas Eve it will be jammed packed but I won't see half those people the next weekend.

Oh this! This pisses me off. My brother said they should have a frequent flier card so if you go throughout the year you're guaranteed a good seat on Christmas. I was like, um, brilliant!!

this drives me crazy too.  We won't even be able to get a seat even though we are there most Sundays. (Admittedly not every Sunday, but most)

We had this conversation last night. My BIL wont accept Christmas gifts at all but he gives them and does dinner ect.

No! If you don't choke to death from accidentally inhaling the mass amount of powdered sugar on them and make it to the actual doilie, it's like eating sweet cardboard.

No self respecting Italian would put powdered sugar on a pizelle. When my grandma made them and would give them to me nice and thick, hot off her ancient pizelle iron with the 3 foot long handles, they were the best thing in the world.

IMO, Christmas is a commercial holiday and has nothing to do with religion. No part of my christmas celebration involves religion.

but things like Jersey Shore and Teen Mom isn't? Please. Everything on tv is made up, that's what makes it interesting.

Sort of along these lines: I didn't buy my kid anything for XMAS!.  I think it's silly to give a baby something when he can't even play with toys yet and doesn't understand what the holiday is all about.  I might not even buy gifts next year!

My UO is I love seeing the cars with antlers on them.  I dont know why, but I think theyre cute.

I can't stand to see kids, ESP babies, out in public with no socks or shoes on.... Even more so now that its cold outside. At home, relative/ friends house is perfectly fine, but for some reason it irks the hell outta me to see it in public. I hated it before I became a mom, I hate it even more now.

A toddler(3 years old?) was at the mall yesterday in a footsie walking around. That bugged me alot. Put some damn shoes on your kid, unless they are being carried around.

I hate little babies things. Especially for boys. He will grow up to be a man. I dont like jungle pastel themed things for my son. His room is regular colors and sports themed. I also returned all the little pastel colored clothes and dress him in "big boy" clothes that look more like adult clothes.

I didnt buy anything for ds either! But I did get a toy for dd. she is old enough to understand presents.

I never put socks or shoes on the baby. Ds 1 didn't own socks until he was 18 months. I had a pair of robeze shoes if we were not in the house and I thought he might walk. We live in fl so not too cold.

Lol...maybe for you it is? For lots of people it's about a tree and presents and Santa. Just like lots of people go on Easter egg hunts but don't attend Easter Mass, or all the people that celebrate Halloween that aren't celebrating a religious holiday....

We still do a tree and presents! I think almost everyone does, but that isnt what it is really supposed to be about. I dont think its bad that people who dont believe in God celebrate it, I think its funny. Its called CHRISTmas because that what its really about. Thats all I was saying. People celebrate a lot of holidays for the wrong reasons.

Not starting a religious arguement  or anything but many non Christians celebrated Yule (Yule tide greetings anyone?) many things commons associated with Christmas, actually were from Yule/winter solstice celebrations. when the Christians went to Germanic countries they incorporated it so the religion would be accepted easier.
