I was eating dinner last night and Gideon was sitting in his high chair, eating Gerber carrot wheels and puffs. Since Mommy is the last one to actually sit at the dinner table, naturally my steamed mixed veggies were luke-warm and out of curiosity's sake, I scooped a few peas, green beans, and cut up a crinkled carrot to see if he'd go for it. He ate it all! This was the kid who would separate the pureed part and the chunks from his 3rd foods and spit the chunks out. I was so happy, I praised him on being such a good eater, gave him have an arrowroot cookie, and then let him play.
Imagine my surprise when I found green beans, carrots, and peas along his crawling path to his bedroom! Apparently, Mr. "Good Eater" is actually a Food Houdini and spit it all out on his way to play. I even found a whole, unchewed green bean in his diaper when I gave him his bath 10 minutes later. He did, however, eat the cookie. The little sneak!!!
