This is so TMI. Like skanky Maury TMI. I should really probably use an AE, but screw it. Please please please don't make fun of me for this.
My H came home drunk last night. Past midnight. He was not wearing his wedding ring. I put the moves on him anyway. And I realized that -- this is so embarrassing and gross and I'm sorry but I don't have anyone I can talk to about this so you guys are it -- his junk smelled like a condom.
I cannot think of any way to explain this that doesn't involve him cheating on me.
He explained the smell by saying that he's been -- oh I am so sorry again for the TMI -- masturbating a lot. Which is one of the dumber things I've ever heard.
I don't know what to do. He says he's not cheating and I want to believe him, but how can I?

I'm sorry that happened. I have never heard of anyone masturbating into a condom but maybe it happens?? Have you noticed anything else that would lead you to believe this?

First of all, props to you for being so brave about this and not using an AE.
Second, this issue is so common in relationships (unfortunately), even if people don't openly talk about it a lot, so please don't be embarrassed.
Third, based on what you've said here--especially the part about the smell--I would be inclined to think your suspicion is correct.
I really, really want you to be wrong about this, but I am so sorry.

First, I am so sorry. This is terrible and I am so very sorry that you are going through this.
I think you are right to be very suspicious. His excuse doesn't really make sense so I think you're right to not accept it. Does he regularly come home drunk? Does he often not wear his wedding band? Are there other things that are also making you think this might be true?
Again, I feel awful for you. However this turns out, it cannot be a good feeling to feel like your spouse is cheating on you.
I was wondering this too. If he does, then it might not be anything at all. But, add in the no ring and I would definitely be wondering.
I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I'm not sure what my next move would be - maybe pull up your phone records and see if he has multiple calls to the same number. This is what my mom did when she started suspecting my dad was having an affair.

my friend said he used to masterbate into a sock to contain the fluid. if he stayed in the bathroom a while, it could be true.
if it's the worse, thank goodness he had the presence of mind to wear a condom since he was drunk. however, if this is the first incident/instance you know of, you have to give him the benefit of the doubt, even for your own sanity. but keep your eyes open.

Oh man, I really hope he's not. I agree with Sookie though, those are 3 big red flags. I would sit down and talk to him. Granted, he can lie to you, but at least you had the conversation and you tried to get honesty.

Depending on your carrier you can request a print out of texts also. I have a friend who caught her dirtbag this way. Or just wait for him to go to sleep and check it yourself.

That sounds awfully suspicious. While I don't normally advocate spying on someone, in this case can you check his emails or cell phone records? If he won't admit to anything, I'd still need to kind of "see for myself" just for peace of mind. I really hope he's not cheating.
He's not saying he uses a condom to masturbate. That's why it's so, so stupid.
There have been other signs. The big one was last weekend. He went to CVS to buy me some Tylenol. When he came home, I saw a box of condoms in the CVS bag. I didn't say anything about it and left the room to get a glass of water. When I came back, the condoms were gone.
Bear in mind here that I am on the pill and that the only time we've used condoms is when I've missed one or been on antibiotics or something like that.
I asked him about the condoms several days later. He said he had been hoping to get lucky on Mother's Day and was paranoid about conceiving another baby. I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
