thank you Boston! she is asleep right now, thank god, in her RNP! she is usually a very very good sleeper at night, anywhere from 8-12 hours! so im crossing my fingers because i am beat! i have to go to my friggin MIL's tomorrow - typical sunday - BUT I AM NOT GOING TO CHURCH! thats wayyy too early for me haha.
UGH....tomorrow is our MIL day too...she's not terrible, just annoying. My husband won't even stay in the room for very long cause she annoys the piss out of him. I guess I have to put up with her cause she's DS only grandmother, so she should be in his life.
I know we are going to be getting a visit from Bun-IL soon, and I am dreading it. :
Get this: homeboy was going to try to schedule for his parents to visit during a day he was working for 12 hours straight. So, like, they'd be here with me and the baby, and that's it.
UM, NO. I'd pull my hair out! He doesn't seem to realize how BSC she is. After some of the sh!t she's pulled with me, I am over it.
WHAT!!! You haven't heard of this?? It was even an Oprah pick (not why I read it) and everything!! It's amazing...I know that if I describe it to you though it will sound terrible and off-putting, so look it up on barnes and nobles when you have time and read the blurb. It's looooooong though, not something you can tackle over the weekend (unless you are a speed reader savant).
Anyway, the writer wrote the mini-series script, so everyone says it's really good and stays true to the storyline.
Hmmmm... I may have to look into this. Not now though. School starts Monday (MONDAY! AHHH!) and I'll be knee-deep in Steinbeck and Faulkner. Bleh.
Definitely put in on your "to read" list after school is over and done. Good luck with school Annie!!

Oooh! I was just thinking about how I should read Faulkner. I'll book club it with you, if you want!
You should!
I could e-mail you my syllabus if you want. I'm taking an American Modernities class. I'm sure it'll be way interesting, but right now I'm still in Children's Lit and Comic Book land, so I have to completely switch gears in, like, two days. Eek!

Thanks. This will be my first time in a classroom in over a year. I'm a bit nervous. Eek!

i dont know how i feel about MIL. FIL was killed last year in a coal mining accident and now she is like a total mess. only 59 but acts like she is 80. wont drive the 20 min to see us, so we always have to go see her. then she holds DD the ENTIRE time and just smiles and keeps calling her angel and refers to herself as mommy. then she will giggle and say OOPS. ugh. and H is annoying about it. he will say how upset he is with her then go there and wont say anything. i feel extremely sorry for her losing her husband and now living alone, but i refuse to treat her like a child. so i go there and half the time i end up cooking for everyone while she sits with DD. uggghhh - sorry had to vent lol.

LOL, that sounds like something my DH would try to do as well. He will sometimes just get up and go to his man-cave during her visits. I threatened him within an inch of his life he is no longer allowed to do that! Tell Bun, hellz no!!
Sorry you have a BSC MIL!! Mine's just annoying and we have literally, zero point zero things to talk about.

That is really weird. : I'm sorry about your FIL though. I am sure that hurt her very much.
I am super grateful to Meep for getting it, because it was way out of our budget, and it's absolutely gorgeous. I am such a lucky girl!
ZOMG that's the exact set I wanted!!! We still don't have a crib, Connor is my cuddle buddy But I love love this set.
It's gorgeous in person. I had a hard time deciding between the cherry and espresso finish. Normally I'm more of an espresso person, but the cherry was so pretty and rich looking, I picked it instead. I am also way pumped, because those drawers should hold all of Jack's clothes, leaving his current plastic-cart-on-wheels-dresser (I know) free to hold things like toys and sheets and the billion flannel blankets we never, ever use. :

Haha, no prob, MIL vents are the best. I guess I would feel torn too. I mean, she's an adult and is certainly capable of taking care of herself, but I would feel kind of bad for her too. How can she not drive for 20 minutes?? That's just nuts, doesn't she have to go grocery shopping or go to work?? IDK, it just seems a little weird. At some point, she'll have to pull herself up out of her hole and get back to reality.

yea it did. i mean i hate to say it but i think it would have been a lot easier if he had cancer or some sign of being sick so they were prepared. but he went to work one day, a rock fell and he never came home. but she was sooo much fun before that and would take their yellow lab for walks everyday and was just so young! now she acts like so old! she will hold kylie for like 5 min and start complaining how sore she is. i do not get it.

it was heavenly and made a not so fun day much more enjoyable!
NICE!! I hate those paper robes...like can they be MORE uncomfortable??? We're already nervous and uncomfortable as it is, then we have to wear paper?!?!
I am super grateful to Meep for getting it, because it was way out of our budget, and it's absolutely gorgeous. I am such a lucky girl!
OMG we have the same one for DD. we will put it up once we get into our house! im worried the changing table part will be too small though
The changing table is a little short, but we have been changing Jack on a PnP changing table since he was born, and it's short too. We haven't had any problems with it, even though he's a long little boy. I generally keep his feet above his head anyway. :P
oh and boston, no. she cant work anymore or she wouldnt be able to collect any money from FIL's death. AND, her kitchen is seriously EMPTY! we have to go to the store every time we go to get stuff for dinner. it irks me sooo badly! she bought a BRAND NEW, like 50,000$ jeep last year and barely drives it anywhere! ooooh AND, she missed my birthday dinner last week and missed the dinner we had when DH and i signed on our first house! it just disgusts me.
okay im done.

That's awesome Meep bought that for you, and it's beautiful!! I love that changer with the dresser!!
She really is the best Meep ever. Really and truly.
Plus, get this: There was a special to get a $50 gift card with your purchase. So, they ring her up the first time, but forgot the gift card. When the teller rang her up the 2nd time, she gave her a $50 gift card, AND a $50 discount. Meep didn't realize it until she was out of the store, but that's like $100 off! So that totally helped.
It won't come in for a couple of weeks. I am super pumped to put it together though!

That's so sad though! Maybe you can look into (or help her look into) getting her some help, or someone to talk to?? It sounds like she's having some serious depression and needs help!
SO JEALOUS!! I haven't been to an Olive Garden in over 2 years ::sobs in the corner::
Um, why not?! It's so good!
I am glad there's not one closer than 2 hours away, 'cause I'd be as big as a house.
Oh, it's not by choice my friend. The last time I went to one was when I lived in WI..for some reason there aren't many down here. I miss those breadsticks like crazy!

yea, we tried but she insists she is okay. seriously, if only you knew the whole story! she would rather go to the casino than come here to spend time with her granddaughter, yet i have to drop everything i am doing to spend my day with her. ugh. but whatever, ill do it for DH!

A brand new Olive Garden just went up about 15 minutes from our house. Plus a Red Robin, which is pretty much the best burger place around, so I can't wait until DS is bigger and we can go out to eat more!
Oh EFF!! I love Olive Garden!! We haven't been out to eat in FOR.EV.ER!! And I freaking love their bruschetta!!
DH and I are totally going on a date sometime soon, cause Momma wants a beer and to go OUT!!
Their bruschetta is the bomb. Seriously. Yes, I know, that sounds so 2002, but it is. I don't even eat the breadsticks, or the bread it comes with, I just shovel that tomato mix in with a fork. It's soooo good.

a nice thing....I went to a new GYN for my yearly on thursday and instead of a silly gown or paper outfit they had a ...
nice, cushy , white, fluffy, soft, comfortable (are you feelin me) ROBE
it was heavenly and made a not so fun day much more enjoyable!
Um, that sounds AMAZING!
Oh very nice! And nice choice with the Britax, too!
Coincidentally, we bought Lucy a Britax Marathon this morning at BRU..ours is only 45 minutes away-and that's a trek, I can't imagine 2 hours
.

CTri, was the whole point of you coming over here to make me jealous? Coffee with Annice and now a ROBE at the GYN?! Good grief woman!
That's awesome! I wish my OB/GYN would have something like that!
yea it did. i mean i hate to say it but i think it would have been a lot easier if he had cancer or some sign of being sick so they were prepared. but he went to work one day, a rock fell and he never came home. but she was sooo much fun before that and would take their yellow lab for walks everyday and was just so young! now she acts like so old! she will hold kylie for like 5 min and start complaining how sore she is. i do not get it.

nope, not my intention at all.
But seriously, when she said go ahead and put the robe on, and I picked it up.....
:::dead:::
NICE!! I hate those paper robes...like can they be MORE uncomfortable??? We're already nervous and uncomfortable as it is, then we have to wear paper?!?!
We made a day of it. Complete with...
Wait for it........
Olive Garden!
I had bruschetta (my fave) and Eggplant Parm. SO good!
The changing table is a little short, but we have been changing Jack on a PnP changing table since he was born, and it's short too. We haven't had any problems with it, even though he's a long little boy. I generally keep his feet above his head anyway. :P

Ready for a laugh? But it must be kept a secret.
Last night I had to pump, and I was talking to DH about it and he was all I can't imagine what it would feel like.
I said I don't even think the pump would work on you (as in being able to pull his chest in) because it is in a funnel shape.
He was all I bet it would.
So we tried it....oh my goodness, it.was.hilarious.
He was all , why do you do this
