We waited until Mother's Day. Our parents are all divorced/remarried (so we had to make 4 stops. Long day.) Plus we were 11 weeks - so it felt safe to spill the beans. We just put an u/s pic in every mom's card.
When I was prego with DS #1 my MIL bought me a shirt that said it started with a kiss, well I kept it and when I found out I was prego with DS # 2 I wore the shirt when I went to visit. That was fun!!! We always (MIL and I) said one more for luck and joked about needing another girl. With this pregnancy I called her at work and asked her so did you want a penis this time or a vagina ( I know sick sense of humor) she started laughing and said vagina!! lol I am sure she got looks from her co-workers!

the first people we wanted to tell were my parents. (DH is closer to them than his actual parents so it wasn't even a question for us.) i took a picture of the home test with the positive result and e-mailed it to her with 2 words - call me!
i don't think i waited 30 seconds before i got a tearful call from mom. the first thing she said was,"you better not be screwing with my head!" how sweet.
we told the rest of the family 3 weeks later at thanksgiving when we were out of the first trimester.
