everytime we read guess how much i love you Addie acts it out (including an attempt to stand on her head). both dh and i thought the other had taught her the motions, but she did it on her own.

I bought Avery some Fancy Nancy sparkly red play shoes. She wears those things all.the.time (at home). She likes to streak through the house in nothing but those shoes on the way to the tub.
Apparently, i had some red mary-jane type shoes when I was little that I loved and I would not wear any other shoes. My mom would have to take me in whatever outfit I was in and those shoes, or I would throw a fit. lol.
For Sale: One 2 year old Toddler. Very very cute but is prone to temper tantrums, throwing things and the occasional hit although usually only to mommy. Gives great cuddles and hugs. Smiles and says CHEESE and loves boats.
I have screwed my body clock. ?I have been taking naps during the day and therefore don't get tired until midnight. I get up with J between 2 and 3 for about an hour and then again at 6 for another hour. ?Avery is up by 8. ?Due to the lack of night sleep, I am still sleepy during the day and nap...thus keeping me up when the kids are sleeping. ?Damnation.
?I have to fix it before I go back to work in a week and a half. I have tried skipping my nap, but I am way too exhausted to do that.?

you know sometimes you change a poop and you can still smell it later but you can't find where the smell is coming from? it is grossing me out and I can't figure it out.
I shot myself in the eye. I have a clogged duct and was massaging it in the shower. I looked down at got it right in the eye. Now I know how my poor kids felt.

I still can't get over how freaking smart my kid is. He can read books like Harry the Dirty Dog and Curious George. I am so proud. I still get taken aback when I see him reading.

that's the FIRST thing I thought of when I saw it... he's too funny!
I feel bad posting this after a night terror post, but I am trying to figure out what good deed I did to warrant Tracey's almost 2 hour nap this afternoon. She will probably wake up now that I came downstairs and got on the computer, but in 10 minutes she will have been asleep two hours, in her crib, and she went down drowsy but awake.
I managed to finish the cardigan I am knitting for her (well, it's all seamed up, I just have to sew in the sleeves) and wash diapers and write some thank you notes. Who knew!?!?

Wow, that is SO impressive! Elena "reads" books, but it really is just repeating the memorized words. She cracks me up when we read a new book b/c she'll repeat each phrase a couple times before she lets me turn the page. But we are NOwhere close to real reading. Yay Sam!
i have to swaddle mathis to nurse him or else his freaking nails scratch the hell out of me. i can't trim them b/c he sleeps swaddled and won't let me when he is awake. what a PITA.

Calla used to do the same thing. I think my boobs must have toughened up because I don't notice it anymore.
Yesterday I was feeding Calla while Orion sat next to me on the couch. I switched sides with her and didn't bother reclasping my bra on the other side. Orion looked at me thoughtfully and said, "Baby Calla drink two milks?"

I clipped F's while she was nursing, worked out real well.
I posted this on the nest but here it goes again....
I've done nothing all day except dance to disco music with my kids! Dancing with a 21 pounder on one hip and a 25 pounder on the other...talk about a workout!!
I seriously have to keep taking breaks cause I am sweating so much.

Sounds like you are having a good morning.
As for me I don't understand why people think they can do a better job soothing my kids than I can. If my baby is crying and reaching for me give him to me.
Crap - Reagan had discovered crayons color on other things then paper. I have finally had to take them away this morning. The furniture is easy to wipe but books aren't fixable. Of course after I show it to her and tell her we can't do that she looks at what she has done and says "Oh no!"

Ugh, I hated that stage. Hannah's not there yet--she's still in the "these crayons make tasty snacks" stage.
Re: Random Baby Posting
Thank you so much. They are my sweet little men.
That'll be great (and so important since y'all have a pool)....he'll love it!
J's swim lessons went really well. He will even hang on to the side of the pool and then monkey walk himself back to the steps.
G ate his first table food last night. I made chicken and figured he is only 9 days away from nine months what would it hurt to try. He loved it.
She is so freaking smart!!?
