So I have had some light brown spotting over a week ago and it just started again. I know it can be normal and my doctor will not see me until my ultrasound on 4/10 but I can’t help but freak out! 

I had a missed miscarriage that I found out about at my 9 week ultrasound in November and the only “symptom” I really had is light brown spotting. I just keep thinking this is a sign that it is has happen again. Has anyone had spotting on and off throughout pregnancy and still had a healthy baby?

@sbaby2023 I’m so sorry you’re having spotting. I bled on and off through most of my pregnancy with DS1. First trimester bleeding was unexplained, and I was diagnosed with partial placenta previa at 20 weeks that resolved itself some time in late 3rd trimester.

@makingbacon thank you for your response, I am glad to hear of an example were bleeding lead to a healthy baby.

That is really scary and I am glad it all turned out ok! Did the doctors think that the placenta previa could have been the reason for your bleeding in the first trimester as well?

So I thought I was 6 weeks today but went in to my OB for pink light blood when I wipe on tissue. Very very light cramping the night before. Anyway they did an ultrasound and found a sac that measured 5 weeks 3 days but no yolk or fetal pole. She asked me if I might be off like 3 days. I said possibly. She said come back in to weeks to check for viability. Last week my hcg numbers did more than double from 233 on 3/20 to 653 3/23. I keep going from being positive to just being miserable as I’ve had 1 still born and 4 miscarriages and 2 rainbow baby girls after they found out I need progesterone supplements.

 Anyone experience anything similar?

 Same day Update: saw some pink blood again today but it was an hour or so after the transvaginal ultrasound

@knottie I am sorry you are going through that. It is so stressful!
Like I mentioned above spitting can be completely normal especially after a transvaginal ultrasound.

I wouldn’t worry about being a couple of days off. When I had my last miscarriage I also had doubling HCG but I was measuring 2 weeks off. When I went back a week later they confirmed a missed miscarriage. But I have also heard about women who were measuring a couple days off and everything was fine! Unfortunately I don’t think their is anything to do but wait. But I definitely still feel like you have a lot of reasons to still be hopeful

I have had brown spotting since last night was hoping it would go away but no such luck... Called my doctor and at first they were going to send me for hcg with repeat 48 hours later but Easter is a problem with that. As all lab places were closed when they called me back. I was told hopefully it will go away if it turn red to go to ER if it's after hours or during hours call their office. Unfortunately I know all this all too well. I had it with my first which turned into a miscarriage that I had as a was rushed to the back. My second I had blown that turned light pink. But resulted in having my daughter. Over the summer I had another miscarriage with no brown spotting but also no symptoms. The problem with my miscarriages is they happen quickly so by the time I get to the hospital my body will probably let go of the baby. I know they can do anything to stop them just wish this would not happen. I was actually feeling good about this pregnancy as I've been having a ton of symptoms. Hoping it stops and I can breathe again.

@ridedatide spotting is so scary, I know people say it can be normal but that never helps me feel much better. I had some brown spotting a few weeks ago and thought for sure I was having a miscarriage. But it stopped after 4-5 days and hasn’t come back so far. I hope yours also goes away and that you are able to get your tests early next week!

@sbaby2023 this morning it turned a pinkish red to a dark red and now back to brown in a matter of an hour. I put a call into the office and I'm waiting on a call back.

@makingbacon @varimama doctor would not see me because I was not cramping they told ma basically bed rest without completely saying bed rest. So I'm on the couch trying positive self talk to this baby.

@ridedatide they won’t see you until 4/20? I am sorry that is a long time to wait. Can you try and get in to an ultrasound before that. Also sending positive thoughts

@sbaby2023 I guess right now I'm seeing how this weekend goes. Anymore bleeding I might just go to the ER. Right now I'm barley spotting some brown. I glad I had today off (im a teacher) with my history I would had to leave and considering admin does not know it would have been hard to explain. If not I guess waiting.... not really sure

So far so good. Sitting on my butt alot. Still feeling sick so I guess that's still a good sign about pregnancy. Just a little bit of brown less today then yesterday.

@mrsmtothek I started bleeding/ spotting again today at 2:30 it continued a deep red until 6:30. Never heavy mainly when I wiped and on pad.  I called the on call line and the doctor called me back said to call and get in for ultrasound on Monday or Tuesday.

Doc just called ultrasound today at 11:15. Having all kinds of feelings but trying to make sure I stay calm in this very unnerving time

Thanks everyone. They found a "small hematoma behind my placenta" the hope is that the bleeding stops and it clears on its own. Right now it's not affecting the growth of the baby as the baby is measuring 7 weeks 6 days. I have my next appointment on the 20th and they will do another ultrasound. Right now they told me to take it easy. Rest do not lift no running up and down or really anything except sitting on my butt. I greatly appreciate all of the thought and support it's been soooo helpful during this time. I keep telling this baby that it is wanted, loved, and needed.

I just had my ultrasound. I was suppose to be 8w5d pregnant but the fetus was measuring at 6w3d. They did find a heartbeat and we saw it too but they said it was too early to actually measure the rate. They scheduled me for a follow up appointment in a week.

I am just so disheartened because this is similar to what happened last time. I was measuring 2 weeks behind at my ultrasound and they confirmed a missed miscarriage the following week. The only thing that is different this time around is that there is a heartbeat (we didn’t have one last time). I want to be hopeful but if this date is correct then I had a positive pregnancy test the day of conception, which makes no sense. It just seems like this is destined for another loss and that maybe we aren’t meant to have kids.

@sbaby2023 I'm so sorry you are going through this uncertainty. It has to be so worrisome given your past experience. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for the best at your next appointment. That's really good they found a heartbeat.

@sbaby2023 try to hold on the hope. The fact that they found a HB is positive. Keep up the positive self for yourself and baby. I know how it feel to be dated behind what you are maybe the measurements were wrong or maybe baby is taking longer to develop. And if worse does come to worse they usually start trying to figure out why after 2 MC. If sucks that they wait because if this does not work maybe you can get some answers.

Thanks all for the support it means a lot. I am honestly just trying to prepare myself for the worst as 2 weeks seems like a really long time to be off and everything be okay. I did some google searching yesterday (I know that is not a good idea but I just couldn’t help myself) and it’s not a great outlook. I am just trying to get myself to the point where I am at peace with whatever happens. We will see if I can get there by Monday haha
