Introduce yourself: hello my name is Delanie and I’m 28 and currently 8 weeks pregnant with my second set of twins!
Due date? 9/30/2023
How did you find out? My period was late and had a doctors appointment later that day and had my doctor do a pregnancy test
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have 2 year old identical twin boys. My husband and I have been married for 4 years. I’m a teacher and he’s a doctor. I like to spend time with my husband and kids, at the gym and just relaxing.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? At the moment I’m feeling shocked, excited, symptoms I’ve noticed is the morning sickness, nausea, bloating and my breasts ache horrible.
I can't believe I missed this thread. I thought I did it, but apparently the brain fog is real. Fun to read everyone's tho!
Due date? 9/9.
How did you find out? TTC for a while, just tested and was positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): DH and I are physicians. We have three other kids, 6, almost 4 and almost 1.5. First time AMA now. We have one cat, and thats quite enough for now, we struggled with our elderly dog who had a stroke, incontinence, etc for a long time but he passed. I have a few side gigs, like remodeling and real estate.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? 11 weeks now, have been feeling like crap since I had covid at 5 weeks. Hoping it all lets up soon.
Hi my name is Lauren and this is my first pregnancy. I’m very excited to have found this community!
Due date? 9/22
How did you find out? I missed my period in January and took a test the next week and it was instantly positive. I told my husband a few days later during a ski weekend away it was very special.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I work in healthcare, and I have a Himalayan cat. My husband and I got married summer of 2022. We weren’t really trying or preventing pregnancy since our wedding. So we were pleasantly surprised. We have been together for over 10 years and are looking forward to starting a family. We live in Ontario Canada and enjoy staying active, hiking, biking, skiing, and traveling together and can’t wait to start this new adventure with a little one.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I was in denial at first and a little worried, but now I’m excited. Been feeling nausea in the evenings mostly, and tired. Been craving spicy food, salty foods, fruit; apples, kiwi, and citrus, pickles and chips.
We found out a couple weeks ago we're expecting but this has brought on a whirlwind of emotions for me. So I waited a bit to introduce myself.
Due date? This is really hard for me. Our due date is 9/19. That is my niece's birthday, but 9/18 is the anniversary of the funeral for our toddler that passed away in 2021💔 I always go late so I'm just hopeful I can make it past these dates then.
How did you find out?
We were living with my in laws and everyone kept getting sick. Is the kids, my husbands parents and my brother and sister in law that are there. Like covid, then flu, then someone brought a head cold in. Finally everyone got feeling better but me. I kept throwing up, getting head colds. My oldest son had me going like that too. So I told my husband I think something is up. Took a test and it didn't even take the full time for it to appear.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I am 28, married to the father of my kiddos after 9 years, finishing my bachelor's in May finally and I work in an office of a factory currently. We also just bought our first official home(we always rented) so we're still moving in! I do photography on the side and am an artist. We love to keep busy and being outside. Hiking, going to parks, camping.
We have three older kiddos. DS is 7.5, DD is 6 and DS is forever 23mo. We suffered a tragedy in 2021 and our youngest was lost in an awful incident in our home. It shattered our lives and put us in a tornado it felt like. Everything changed. We had to move, we lost our older kids for 2 weeks(they stayed with their aunt thankfully) and just flipped our lives upside down. 9/9 will be two full years. They are back with us and we've moved two more times in the last year sadly because we got in with someone that was supposed to be a family friend but turned on all of us. But it led us to our home and we're happier now.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? So much heartburn. From everything. Even water 🤣 I get waves of nausea but don't throw up. I NEVER craved anything before, much less pickles but man I can't get enough of them!!!!
Emotionally is so hard for me. My kids are excited for another baby, but they both insist on naming it for their brother. I keep explaining that was his name and this baby needs its own name. We want to continue growing our family and my grief mamas group says it is so healing, but I still get very emotional about it. That this baby will never meet their brother, that we have to keep going with out him for our whole life.
I look forward to getting to know everyone 💕 I'm twelve weeks on the dot today. 💕
Good morning mamas! I am due on September 24th (it will be our first wedding anniversary!) and expecting a baby boy 💙 I found out the week of my husband’s birthday so it was an exciting present for both of us!! We are so very grateful to be pregnant and I’m just riding the roller coaster of the first pregnancy!! I’m traditionally a nervous nelly, and it’s safe to say this journey hasn’t seen any different 😉 So nice to meet you all and looking forward to conversations here. 💕💙💕
Introduce yourself: Hello Bump Fam!! My name is Melissa and I live in Orange County Ca
Due date? Sept 15
How did you find out? I actually knew that next day after conception. I had some hurt burn when I had pizza. But thought there’s no way. So I had a hunch prior but was in denial until I took a pregnancy test lol then the test lit up like a Christmas tree.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): no other children, just a yorkie named Mochi and a bunny named Rupert. I’m a realtor and my spouse is a flipper. I like going to concerts and trying new restaurants out. I also volunteer for a non profit women’s shelter.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Just got over having morning sickness (fingers crossed) now the talk of the town is what the gender is going to be. We are about to make our announcement on social.
I’m Marissa This will be my third and final baby and my due date is 9/16 but I’ll have a scheduled c section so will actually deliver about a week before that. Hoping for 9/7.
I missed my period and then my niece had a dream I was pregnant. Took a test the next day, instant positive. I had the nexplanon in for three years, got it out in November. Two months later, pregnant.
Introduce yourself: Hi, I’m Olivia, I’m 24. Sorry I’m really late to this..
Due date? September 1st
How did you find out? I work in healthcare and was telling a nurse I work with how I had been spotting and having cramps the past week (cramps not so uncommon because I have Endometriosis, the spotting was different than normal though) and she told me she “knows” I’m pregnant and need to take a test. I didn’t believe her but worked myself up to take one the next week and yes.. it was positive. I had just stopped taking my birth control a few months before because I hate taking medication and I’ve been on it for years and starting to see the affects of it on myself and body. My husband and I told each other if it happens it happens so we weren’t that careful.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): This will be our first baby. I’m very scared and unsure of myself.. My husband and I have been married for 4 years this month. He’s just seperated from the military and I’m a travel CNA so this has put a hold on the travel part of my job.. I love to work, I love my dog and two cats, I love to be outside and near water, and I’d really like to get back into exercising. Also in the process of buying a house and moving out of my moms house!! Agh
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Cramps come and go, nausea comes and goes depending on the food or smells, lots of head aches, I can’t sleep at night, horrible allergies and itching, still getting lightheaded and dizzy especially at work, my depression/anxiety is getting worst and I’m going to bring this up at my next appointment. Also sick with a cold right now! So not feeling the greatest.
How did you find out? I took a test at home that had gone unused after being 5 days late the month before.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): We have been together for 12 years, and this is our first baby. We are very excited and just found out it’s a girl! We have a basset hound and border collie that are quite the pair and are going to be very jealous.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I’m happy to have my appetite back now that I’m in the second trimester. I have a little cramping, but have read that it’s normal.
Introduce yourself: I’m 32 and expecting our first at the end of September! I’m a bit late to the community and glad that a friend recently recommended this app to me. Hopefully my username is set (should be LoveBugMama)
Due date? 9/22
How did you find out? My BBs were very tender one day, and I thought that I might as well take a home test. We were TTC, but I never had a positive ovulation test and I had a very stressful month that didn’t create the best environment to conceive in. Well turned out all three tests from different brands were positive, and I demanded my doctor do a blood test the same day that confirmed our little love bug was growing :) When tracing back to the possible conception date, I had a migraine that lasted 3 days. I wonder if the two were connected to each other or not. We’ll see in a few years when we try for our second if there’s a pattern.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): Married and we have two spoiled dogs. Photography and preparing the nursery are our biggest hobbies right now. I work in project management and primarily work from home (thank goodness! I would have lost my job in the 1st trimester with all the nausea)
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Excited, nervous, calm, lots of heartburn, occasional bouts of “I still can’t believe this is real and happening”, reassured every time I feel her kick low despite the lightening 😆
