Hi! Was wondering how many times you guys had sex throughout the window? I’ve been doing it everyday, this is my 4th month trying! I have 3 kids and never really had this problem.

Well let's see... 3 years in, and 4 MCs later, it was SUPER sexy for us to be all "Hey, guess what, I'm O'ing so we need to do it tonight or tomorrow night.  And I really just wanna cry, so I'm just gonna lay here and hope you can Get Er Done. Cause if I have another MC, I may just off myself... but I REALLY want a baby... Aren't you in the mood now?!?!"  

Obligatory Info:  We don't do this here.  (ANY of it).  We don't start our own special snowflake threads.  We start by reading the "NEWBIES read this first post."  We introduce ourselves in the Newbie thread.  We join in the dailies. We support other people (who've often been trying for a LOT longer than 4 months, and maybe don't have any living kids at home).  THEN we ask our special questions in the regular daily threads, cause we like NEVER post our own discussion posts.  And if we do, it's usually something WAY more important than 'wah, it's taking me the usual amount of time to get knocked up and I'm going to whine about it because it didn't happen on cycle one...'

speaking as a single lady who buys my sperm by the precious, ludicrously expensive vial, i can say the number of times i have sex during my fertile window is usually zero. but even if i were getting it on multiple times a day, every single day for a week leading up to ovulation during this whole 4-year nightmare of trying to conceive, my infertile self would probably still be barren. why do you ask, OP?

When you enter a community, online or otherwise, you should probably see if there are rules or customs before just barging in with your own personal agenda. Message boards aren’t the same as google. There are other boards that don’t operate as a community - and if you’re looking for those, go find them. This isn’t what you’re looking for.

I was apart of a community like this on “baby bump” it was an app. Was on it for 9 years and was an OG. I usually stuck up for people that got dumped on by people like you.

Got it!  I'm evil and horrid because I read the rules and lurked before joining the community, and I follow the parameters set forth in the guidelines to this Board.  Thanks for the explanation!

To each is own.  I personally think you bursting in and posting your special snowflake post, which is exceptionally upsetting (at least to me), sounding desperate because you've been trying not even a year for a 4th child, is hateful and rude. It's also against the rules of this board, and definitely in opposition to the spirit of this board.

You can still introduce yourself here:  Newbie Intros w/o 6/20 — The Bump

Then you can join in our dailies and get to know us and let us get to know you and your journey.  You can ask your question in the regular threads.  That way you don't upset people, you can follow our guidelines and decorum set forth in our Newbie Guide, and after supporting people, get the support you want/need.  We don't know you, and you don't know us.  We love to get to know new members who are willing to abide by the standards that those of us posting on this board have agreed upon.

Posts are organized into subgroups so you can find your specific community to interact with. But read the post for new folks if you have questions about what this board is for and are interested in participating.

It's actually against the TOU to discuss, or especially to tell you to go to a different site/app.  We can get banned for that.

And no one said you couldn't ask questions.  You just need to do it in the already created discussion/regular posts, not create your own discussion.  Which is because this site can get SUPER busy with hundreds of members at times, and can get very busy and boggy if everyone starts creating their own discussion posts.

I mean, the reality is that some people do it like every day and get nothing.  Some people say that doing it every other day is best, because sperm has time to build up (there are some fertility issues that definitely recommend this approach).  Sometimes people just do it once like 3 days before O and BAM PG right away.  

I'd recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility and doing Basal Body Temping if you aren't.  That way you're sure you're hitting the O window.  

Also, I'd start posting in the WTO (Waiting to Ovulate) and TWW (Two Week Wait) dailies to update where you are in your cycle, and ask questions relating to TTC in that area.  Also, if you do temp/chart, you can ask questions about that in the Chart Stalk Area.  There's also the TFAS (Trying for a Second) you can join into and post and ask questions.

Again, if you took as much time as you've spent arguing here to actually look around at how this board is organized, you'd know that one of the things that people literally answer on a daily basis is the timing of BD in their cycle in the daily TWW threads. But if everyone started their own SS thread for their every whim, we'd never be able to find the dailies and the board would dissolve into chaos. 

This is actually a completely reasonable, and common question but you wouldn't know that because you just parachuted in here and made this all about you. 

I have a lot to say on this topic but I'll post it in the monthly Q/CS thread where it belongs.

@monkeysalwayswin There were threads called "How to GIF" or something like that from a few years ago.  I'd use the search bar and see if you can find them.  They may have been on various boards (including this one) here.  I usually right click, copy image, and paste it here.

ETA:  @mrsllux Please keep in mind that you also have the option to be on here more often, and to spread your love/encouragement/happiness/helpful knowledge to ALL of the drive-bys/peggies as they post; giving them your wealth of knowledge before anyone else posts things.  You can be all rainbows and sunshine glitter if you would prefer.  Answer the "Am I peragnante" posts for the next 6 years like we have... No one is stopping you...

@mrsllux you’re new here and I sincerely hope you don’t stick around for too long (although with a vasectomy reversal, things can take time and treatment might be required). If you stay an active contributor, I’m sure you’ll come to know how this board works and why we have a variety of daily, weekly, monthly and long-lived threads that basically cover all possible topics. All we ask is that ppl who come here read and follow the rules that are prominently posted at the top of the community. 

We have had many members come through that have multiple kids at home and trying for more and while, yes, that’s hard for someone like me to read about in their intros, and then see then move in to their BMBs after a month or so, we still welcome them into our midst with open arms. 

But ppl who don’t take the time to even glance at the rules, and just start a new discussion and proceed up complain about SOMETHING WE ALL HAVE VERY LITTLE EXPERIENCE WITH (i.e. getting pregnant on first try 3 times and then having 3 successful pregnancies) well… I’m sorry… but even the Pope might need a moment to collect himself before answering that.
