@mnmomma84 per the jeweler, you’re more swollen in the morning as well. So, it may go on easier later in the day. I also forget where you’re located, but humidity and heat can contribute.
All that being said, I haven’t worn mine in a week. No idea if it’s pregnancy or warmer weather 🤷🏻♀️ my husband is cool with it and said we’d order a silicone one if I want until the real one fits again.
Thanks @laj0217 In MN. We went right from winter to summer in the past week, so heat and humidity are likely another factor. I'll keep an eye on things. I know swelling, headaches and a few other symptoms are something to be conscious of. It helps to know a few of you also already had to ditch the jewelry. Might need to look into the silicone one for the summer.
@mnmomma84 I would give her a call and describe what's going on, see what she wants you to do.
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
@mnmomma84 How are you feeling today? Have you tried upping your water intake? It sounds counter-intuitive, but it can help swelling if it isn't related to something more serious. What happens when you elevate body parts that are swollen?
So. Achy. Mainly back and hips. I don't remember this until much later in pregnancy with my first, but I'm also in my 30s now, so that could have something to do with it! Baby has been sitting on my sciatic nerve, especially at night, so when I get up to pee in the middle of the night, I can barely walk.
@mnmomma84 - Agreed with others. I'd definitely mention it to your doctor. I had some swelling in my third trimester but may want to get it checked out this early.
Feeling good this morning. Swelling was not as bad as it was the past couple of days, and no headache. But still can't fit my wedding ring on. I'll put a call into my OB this morning just to let her know what's going on. I usually put my feet up in the evening after we've had dinner and it's time to relax, and I am fairly confident my water intake is decent - I always try to go for at least 1/2 my body weight in ounces. But I will try to down a little more over the next few days to see if that helps. Thanks for all the encouragement!! Hopefully it's nothing major.
@whitta1015 If your sciatica is bothering you this early I'd highly recommend a chiropractor, if you haven't already gone. I started going to mine again and it's been SO much better! Bonus is the mini-massage prior to the adjustment
@whitta1015 Both this time and last time, my lower back aches as well as my inner thighs. That's the worst! Switching from sitting to standing or rolling over in bed is so uncomfortable. 23w today and I'm not looking forward to the increased aches of the next 17 weeks. 😖

LOL, I lost my motivation in early March. Who needs it? I need to do my job for 5.5 more weeks and then it's summer vacation. BRING ME JUNE 22ND!
Symptom: I think I'm having the problem with laying on my back now. 20+1. I laid on my back this morning/last night to take some pressure off my hips and I had this pain - kind of between my belly button and diaphragm - that was very similar to sharp gas pain but was definitely not caused by gas.
I'll probably ask about it at my post-US appt on Friday.
@pangolindrome - I have been finding if I fall asleep and roll onto my back I’ll wake up with tingly hands, so I am trying to avoid that. But sometimes it’s so nice to just lay back - maybe angled pillows would work so it’s not as much pressure on the vena cava or other muscles.
@trapperkeeper87 my inner thighs were hurting earlier this week too. I had been sleeping with a pillow between my knees so I stopped that and it's seemed to help. I used a pillow last pregnancy up until the end and my inner thighs hurt all.the.time. glad I figured that out earlier this time.
@csardaszz I totally feel you on that. The other day I tried to open my office door by holding up my car keys and clicking. Also, realized (after using this jar for weeks) that instead of grape jelly I bought blueberry preserves and didn’t once notice the neon blue label 😂
Do we typically feel RLP until the late weeks? I thought it was just a first and early second trimester thing, but I'm still getting the pangs throughout my abdomen, too.
Sleep is hard to come by during the night. It’s either restless legs and a midnight bath to relax them…or it’s stuffy nose/ open mouth which gets super dry (drinking more water to combat this, then peeing every hour).
I'm getting them *less,* but certain positional changes still cause them.

@trapperkeeper87 I know! It was so comfy! It's been a few days without the pillow and I'm not sore when I wake up. Definitely give it a try and see if it helps.
@babywiik It's been a couple days now and my thighs are still sore, but not nearly as much as they were. I'm torn, but I'm still sleeping okay, so I think I'll go without until I feel like I can't anymore.
@rebornlotus Are you sure it was the prenatal and not something like sinus drainage? Insomnia, unfortunately, is just a part of pregnancy. 😪
@rebornlotus the iron in prenatals will make me vomit if I don't have enough in my stomach. I try to take mine after dinner before bed because of this. Iron has done this to me since I was in high school. When I forget it's like ugh you're smarter than this.
I am a snot factory. I'm guessing sinus infection, but I am congested, snotty, coughing up crap, and have a sore throat from the draining and coughing. Some sinus pressure, too. Have neti potted repeatedly, drinking tea w/lemon and honey, taking and Tylenol and Benadryl, and nothing is helping. Waiting to see if boss will let me work from home for a day or two or if I'll need to take sick days....

@rebornlotus I took my prenatal every morning for months and then suddenly couldn’t because it would make me throw up. Taking it after dinner seems to have helped. No idea why I could tolerate it and then suddenly couldn’t though 🤷🏻♀️
I always take my prenatal before bed. Yesterday, I don't know what happened, but it was kind of like a gag reflex from trying to take it. I'm hoping it was a one time deal, but I might just switch to gummy prenatal for awhile.
I know the insomnia is a part of pregnancy, but I wish it wasn't. Seems like a cruel joke that the last time you have before you have to be up every 2-3 hours around the clock can't be filled with restful sleep.
@kboydbowman Allergies are horrible this year and mine are lingering for almost three weeks now, including facial and oral pain. I know it isn't a sinus infection because I used to get those 4 to 5 times a year. Unfortunately, pregnancy makes it worse because of the swelling and excess mucus your body is already producing with relation to that. Hopefully it's not a sinus infection, but even if it is, most of those will clear on their own within 2-3 weeks! Flonase helps, and Robitussin helps get some of the crap coughed out. Staying hydrated helps a lot too.
@rebornlotus I'm fully convinced that the peeing all night and insomnia is your body's way of preparing you for what's to come. I hate it, but that's my belief.
Anyone else going from ravenously hungry, can't eat enough one day to could go all day without eating if you had to??
Oh yes. Most of it's due to my digestion/acid reflux, like @laj0217 said, but I can be content with very little one day and want to eat three buffets of food the next. The babies are growing pretty quickly these days, so it's not surprising. First trimester was all about getting the appropriate pieces in place, second is about growing those pieces, and third is about growing the weight. It's definitely a marathon!
@laj0217@trapperkeeper87 ok thanks! Most days I just feel so full even after smaller meals, and I had a friend comment this weekend "wow, the baby isn't even that big yet" 🙄 Made me feel like I shouldn't be feeling this quite yet, but glad to know it's expected!
@dvmmomma I'm sure your friend meant nothing by it, but if that happens again, just say, "I'm growing a whole human. This is normal and rude comments are not needed. Thanks." It's normal to feel ravenous quite often. Think about when kids are going through growth spurts; they eat and eat and eat and then the next week they barely peck at their food. Right now you have to eat for those spurts to happen, so the nourishment isn't going 100% to you. If you weren't eating enough (I'm not talking about eating for two, because that's not a thing), your baby would come out completely unhealthy and underweight. You're a momma now and that's how it works! 😊
@trapperkeeper87 I still need your response on the group status part 4 post

@dvmmama I'm not having days where I'm fine without food, but I definitely get ravenous. Especially around 6:30pm.
@kboydbowman I feel like a broken record but have you tried the NeilMed rinse bottle? Also, are you using tap water or distilled water? With a NetiPot, the lack of pressure behind it (since you just pour it) can mean that the water does not reach far enough into your sinuses or doesn't even reach all your sinuses, particularly the upper ones behind your eyebrows. About the water, there can be impurities or even salts/metals in regular water that are super unhelpful to your sinuses, so I will strongly recommend distilled water if that's not already what you are using This is the one I mean:
@pangolindrome I just ordered a Vicks steamer on Amazon that should be here tomorrow. I also have squeezies, although not the NeilMed one (the netipot is NeilMed though). I use water filtered through the Brita and then boiled.

@kboydbowman I hope the steamer will help! Filtered water is definitely better, and I am glad you boil it! If you would like, definitely try distilled water with the NeilMed squeeze bottle. We both have chronic sinus issues and probably could not function without them, so I am heavily biased. We finally invested in our own countertop water distiller because so many stores are having supply issues and regular water just isn't as good, so it was pricy but will be worth it.
I've been sleeping until 7:30 without an alarm clock for the past two years, but I don't think I appreciated the opportunity enough. I'm starting to wake up around 5 every morning to Zig kicking. Kicks and baby stretching have made their way up to my ribs this week. I officially have the waddle now. Braxton hicks make an appearance a couple times/wk. Standing up from sitting positions requires additional arm support. 4 more months - bring it on!
