My comfort meal is peanut butter and honey sandwiches with chocolate milk.
I suspect I will regret this mightily later.

I am at my beach house and down the road is my favorite sandwich, prosciutto and mozz. I have gone back and forth on whether to eat it because of the cured meat but I am going to indulge on my last day... ugh so excited

@mamamoomoo12 I ate a half pound of prosciutto a couple weeks back because I just wanted my favorite snack of mozzarella, prosciutto and tomatoes. Sadly the tomatoes were store bought and lacked flavor, but it hit the spot.
I’ve been wanting my favorite eggplant Parmesan sandwich, which has prosciutto on it. I keep thinking surely Italian women don’t stop eating cured meats? I may do it this weekend. It’s served hot. I’m sure I can ask them to heat the prosciutto in particular, and it’s a local place with good food safety.
We got the chicken bites from Costco, just plain, cooked, cubed chicken breast, and we’ve both been having it for lunch with teriyaki sauce and rice. It turns out about as good as mid-range teriyaki places.
Also Aidell’s teriyaki chicken meatballs and the chicken hamburger patties from Costco. He adds Sriracha and brown sugar for mine and it’s SO GOOD. Apparently I’m all about the chicken right now.
@pangolindrome teriyaki sounds delicious right now. Too bad I have to teach a late class and my husband doesn't like cooking chicken. Maybe for tomorrow dinner.
Hubs made whole wheat penne with roasted veggies and chickpeas, feta, and (on my request) kalamata olives. I go through at least one kalamata olive jar a week.
Today's farmer's market food porn. Kale, strawberries, shelled sweet peas, cherries, butternut squash ravioli, extra large brown eggs, yellow onions, yellow squash, garlic chives, blue oyster mushrooms, red onions w/the greens, artichoke raviooli, zucchini, heirloom tomatoes, golden oyster mushrooms, and mushroom ravioli.

All I want is a nectarine and they're totally out of season, sigh...I started craving them a few weeks ago while watching a cooking show. I'm settling for canned peaches, but they are a lousy substitute! All of that said, I'm finally eating real food more days than I'm not, which is a huge relief. I can even eat meat and vegetables again! Except on bad days, when I go right back to eating nothing but toast. Pregnancy is weird and inconvenient!
First time mom-to-be, due 9/25/22
Some complicated chromosomal stuff going on - our fingers are crossed, but this may not go according to plan!

Ya'll can hate, but our farmer's market will likely start having nectarines within the next 2 weeks or so

@kboydbowman yeah, I'm gonna do some hating from across the pond. Produce sucks by the time it gets here. Summer is ok when most produce is in season but out of season its apples and bananas. Veggies do ok but the variety is pretty limited
Haha across the pond hating is cool! The part of Cali I live is where EVERYTHING is grown, so our selection is kind of ridiculous.

I also have been wanting nectarines and peaches for a few weeks! I keep trying to buy them but they are just a discolored beige color, and totally tasteless. It’s so sad.

Microwaving a frozen burrito because I need to eat something and there's nothing I want to eat really. It's an Amy's one so I'm going with its healthy.
I saw a few weeks ago a local farm finally had their goats kidding, so I went today and I'm so excited they have fresh chevre back! That paired with the baguette I picked up at the bakery yesterday is perfect!
Anyone have any good suggestions for adding more veggies into snacks and meals? I actually love most if not all veggies, but I have been SO HUNGRY this week that I find myself just eating as many carbs and as much protein as I can to not be hungry again in 2 hours.
