April symptoms

Re: April symptoms

  • After being gone for a solid week or so, nausea came back last night.

  • @EmilyE13 oh no, I’m feeling great so I was hoping I was in the clear. I hope it passes quickly!
  • I am still waking up with the craziest night sweats. I was so soaked last night I almost took a shower at 3am 😅 anyone else??
  • @sandy5693 yes my night sweats are back with a vengeance. Super annoying!

    @EmilyE13 Noooooooo!
  • My nausea is back. Also I think my gestational diabetes is about to hit way way early. I'm doing my own at home glucose test right now. It's not perfectly scientific but it should give me an idea on how my body is working things out.
  • My allergies are picking up, but luckily nausea is really easing up finally. Food aversions and cravings seem to be shifting a bit. Definitely more myself now than I was in weeks 8 through 12.
  • Last night I was dizzy & felt shaky & weak when making dinner. My husband came in as I was sitting down waiting for the pot to boil and looked like he saw a ghost. I think it was low blood sugar but 🤷🏻‍♀️Idk. He asked if I ate lunch and I did (surprised I could remember) but I couldn’t shake the nausea til morning

@cfranxI read that dizziness can hit now.

I hope the nausea let’s up ladies. Started week 13 and my thing has been achy hips and stinging feeling around uterus at random moments.
  • @cfranx hopefully it doesn't happen again! I am pretty sure I have GD for the third time. It always starts out with getting hit with low blood sugar before flipping on me and it being the opposite. It sucks. I'm changing my diet now. Try eating a small protein packed snack between lunch and dinner. Cheese and nuts are great for keeping blood sugar stable.
  • Night sweats and crazyyyyyy dreams 🤪 wish I woke up to contractions instead!
  • @ctsa Yes! I forgot to mention achy hips, especially my right hip when I wake up. Also discovered my allergy sneezes/coughs spur on some RLP.
  • Is anyone else still struggling with exhaustion? I feel like everything I do is a struggle, like I’m wearing a 20lb weighted vest. I’ve more or less kept up my usual workout routine which is pretty intense, but it feels SO hard, and it wipes me out for the rest of the day. I’m also at home all day with a 3 year old which is exhausting by itself. I’m 12 weeks today so technically another 1-2 weeks til first trimester is over, I’m hoping I’ll get some energy back then!
  • @cfranxMy dizziness hit almost exactly when I hit 12w this week.  I read in all my apps and books it would come on about this time and sure enough...as long as I remember to hydrate A LOT and snack all the time it seems fine.

And yes @krthouse I have also been feeling the RLP and hip pain this week and trying to pay a lot of attention to what triggers it.  I work from home and found that if I'm sitting in one position for too long it becomes achy.
  • @siouxieq87 Yes! I don't remember being this exhausted with my previous three for this long. I'm so exhausted that everything has just fallen behind. My 8 year old has started cleaning up because I'm just too tired to really do much. I get one or two things done and then I'm wiped. I have to get a room cleaned out so I can hire a contractor to come and close it in and add a door for the baby. I have to move everything and rip out the carpet then lay new flooring. I'm so so tired that I'm hoping I can get it all done by 20 weeks so I can enjoy planning the baby's room.
  • So I definitely have not been able to exercise for a month. Yesterday I tried to go on a walk and only made it 3 blocks before I had shortness of breath, racing heart, nausea, dizziness. The fatigue is real but it's veering more into lethargy than sleepiness.

    Rhinitis still going strong.

But the absolute weirdest pattern I've noticed... occasionally I will have an erotic dream. Without fail, the mornings after erotic dreams are puke days. Ugh why...?

  • I feel ravenous. The past 2 days, I was starving the second I was done eating something. It’s been ridiculous.

Also had a dream the other day that my dad died. I texted him at like 6 am to make sure he was ok 😅
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Having low stomach pressure. Anyone else having this? It’s making me nervous… went in a few days ago for my 13 week visit and it took the dr a while to find a heart beat. They almost did an ultrasound, so now I’m nervous.

super nauseous still, I have more days where it’s not as bad as it was a week or two ago, but still there for sure every day, which is making it really hard to want to eat any food. Super exhausted as well, and getting home everyday just wanting to go to bed and be done for the evening.
  • My nausea isn’t as bad as it was but it’s definitely still there. It’s very up and down all day. But the exhaustion seems much better than it was even just a week ago!
I also am having some pains around my hips/pelvic area. I bent over at work the other day and was like “ow!! This is already starting??” I don’t remember this until well into my second trimester last time, must be a second time pregnancy thing haha
  • I'm 13 weeks now and feeling much much better. Still have some symptoms: rhinitis, tired in the evenings, insomnia, shortness of breath, some headaches if I don't chug water all day, some hip/glute soreness, occasional RLP, and pelvic floor stuff. I'm starting to pop out a little too!

Without fail, I am always awake between about 2:30-5am. It's when I first get up to pee, then I'm just up thinking about crap for a long time. I wonder how much more energy I'd have if that wasn't happening  :D

  • @proudmama810 don’t worry about taking too long to find the heartbeat. That’s really normal early on and it just means the baby was in a weird position. I sometimes feel low pressure but if I change positions it goes away, is yours more constant? I still think it’s most likely fine but it wouldn’t hurt to send your OB office a message for peace of mind.
  • Well I started the month out with a cold and all the fun that goes with it. Nausea and gagging have gone the last week (so far) but I do feel some twinges in my pelvis depending on how I’m sitting/laying. It’s strange to not feel overwhelmingly ‘pregnant’ after the last few weeks.
  • Heartburn is the new thing for me this month
  • Now, in the past week, if I go on long walks (as in longer than 20 minutes) or go for a jog my vagina starts feel like it has a 20 pound weight hanging from it. Apparently this is normal??? Anyone have tips for dealing with it? 😳
  • @rin_dancing That definitely sounds like something to address with a pelvic floor physio. It may be that your pelvic floor muscles need some strengthening to support your exercise.

I had a nice break from vomiting last week but now it’s apparently back in full force.

  • Still vomiting and exhausted- a lot of twinges and pain in my hips and pelvis. I have been super anxious because this was the time period we lost my son - weekly ultrasounds help but the time in between is just a range of emotions.
  • My lips have been super dry this week, and I don't know if that's from pregnancy or this cold I'm fighting but it's super irritating! None of my usual lip balms are working.
  • Whelp at 13w3d I had the worst nausea and vomiting last night. Praying for the relief
  • @krthouse same here! I’m going straight to Aquaphor.
  • I'm using CeraVe baby. We have piles of it lying around because we use it on everyone for everything.
  • Super dry skin here too - lips and hands.  And strangely my lower cheeks (?) which is causing a bit of acne.  The aquaphor works well, but I have to apply like crazy.
  • I'm at 13 weeks and each week the nausea has gotten worse. It's killing me. 😭
  • @ferret22 right there with you! Glad we're not alone
  • My midwife told me to start getting 80-90 grams of protein a day. This helps the placenta and helps with nausea. I start every morning with a protein shake and 2 eggs… my nausea has gone down TREMENDOUSLY @12 weeks.
  • @EmilyE13 same. Manageable nausea with limited dry heaving from 10-11 weeks to back with a vengeance as we approach week 13. I’ve tried the protein but no lucky. I do think there may be a correlation to low blood sugar though because it’s usually right around times i should eat, upon awakening, etc.
  • Constipation this week I’ve had a hell of a time after I went into urine retention at my dating scan a half hour appointment ended up being hospitalised for 24 hours I was catheterised and they drained 3 litres of urine. I can’t begin to tell you the pain. Thankfully I am home and all ok praying that it never happens again. They think it was due to several factors. I have a retroverted uterus also very constipated so this is putting pressure on it, then the hold before the scan caused my bladder to go into spasm
  • @holly0810 that sounded excruciating and scary! I’m so glad you’re okay. Are you on meds for relieving the constipation?
  • Is anyone else having HORRIBLE headaches?!? They linger all day and I feel like have caused my nausea to come back
