I am craving pizzas & pastas. Anything carby. Also loving ginger beers at the moment.
Things that sounds not so nice is literally anything else. I finally got some ondansetron though which has been helping and I finally have an appetite! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I read an interesting article that says we get morning sickness and food aversions as a protection mechanism when our babies are most at risk of chemical influences on development (6-18 weeks). Meat & eggs are naturally more at risk of carrying disease that vegetables so that’s why we have the most aversions to them. In cultures where they are mostly vegetarian the rate of morning sickness is much, much lower. So interesting! I will have to try and find the article again.
I don't drink normally. I think the last time I drank was my honeymoon 4.5 years ago because I've either been pregnant or breastfeeding, while I know there's info out there saying bfing it's fine and in pregnancy it could be ok, I'm just not comfortable with it. But my brother and his partner had a couple bottles of wine last night, and it smelled so good.

Tonight the boy is napping and I have minimal energy to cook, but I feel I need protein and veggies. My "this is easy and mostly qualifies" is that I am having spinach w/butter, salt, pepper, and fresh garlic...and some Totino's pizza rolls.

The boy person has agreed to lace some protein powder into pancake mix and make me protein pancakes. Therefore, they are 100% healthy. Yes/yes?

Thai is really hit or miss for me right now - it's either "yaaaaaaaas queen" or "GET THAT AWAY FROM ME NOW"

My mom dropped off a homemade chocolate peanut butter cake on my front porch this morning for an early Valentine’s present and it is my favorite and I am beyond thrilled!
Haha I am the same way! The first few weeks I was eating so clean, my normal diet. Now everything except for ice cold smoothies turns my stomach….apart from yesterday…I ate an entire bag of cereal and a frozen pizza🤦♀️
Yesterday I was craving peanut butter so bad and then today, I made peanut butter toast for my son and almost threw up. I literally had to go in the backyard to get away from the smell. Lol.

I start my day with a protein shake but for lunch I am really digging toasted french bread with avacado, garlic powder, salt, sardines ( heated up till steaming of course) and a squeeze of lemon. It looks gross but hits all the spots!
I’ve had quite the desire for tuna with eel sauce this week and I’ve indulged twice. We live in a community where raw fish probably accounts for 75% of some of the women’s diets, even during pregnancy. My husband catches it and prepares it so it’s helped ease my mind.
@costaricamom I will be eating sushi during this pregnancy, just staying away from high mercury fishes. Tuna is usually on the list of "high mercury" fishes, but salmon isn't! Maybe salmon with eel sauce!

@theblondebump my husband tried to tell me I was a hypochriac because I asked him to dump a pot of soup for me because the smell of it was making me gag. The same man who had to pull over 3 times my laat pregnancy to let me barf during a drive to the doctors office... Yup all in my head.
@kboydbowman I had sushi last night for dinner and it's definitely because of you talking about it being okay to eat. 😂 I had a baked salmon roll and enjoyed every single bite. Plus it helps that my son LOVES sushi so it's a really good meal for when I want him to actually eat his dinner.

Found my first food offender yesterday- red onions. Had some sliced for a pita and stored in a container in my lunch bag and I physically gagged when I opened just the bag and could smell a hint! Then of course in my produce box delivery today, 3 huge red onions 🙄
Random thoughts while eating my berry bowl tonight - all the fruits have been compared to baby’s size recently! Week 7 (blueberry), week 8 (raspberry), 9w2d (blackberry - week 9 is *technically* a cherry but yesterday’s comparison was a blackberry so I’m rolling with it), and week 10 (strawberry).

Same. I mostly use the internet version, but I open the app on my phone at least once a day for the rando fact of the day. Today we are at "postage stamp."

@kboydbowman luckily the tuna here are not on the high list. We have smaller yellowfin caught inshore so they would be relative to a skipjack, not a bluefin which have a much longer lifespan. No fresh salmon around here but hopefully I’ll get my hands on some Mahi Mahi and snapper soon!
@costaricamom Too bad Wahoo is high in Mercury...my favorite! You should be coming into dolphin and red snapper season there, right? I'll have to give you my recipe for red snapper!
@costaricamom jelly! Tuna and salmon are my favorites, so I miss the tuna.
Also, @whitta1015 please tell me you don't eat dolphins?????

I have vivid memories from previous pregnancies crying over wanting Pad Thai so badly. It might happen this time too!
