Alright, update. My beta results from this morning looks pretty good. So I'm just trying to stay positive and chalk this up to normal implantation bleeding. Officially 14dpo today and beta is at 191.

Shit. Spotting has turned red. F*ck. Why does this suck so much. This is such a rollercoaster.

@inthewoods23 Do those appear this early? I'm only 4w today. I really just hope it's cervical irritation, but who knows. If it is, then this will keep going on until I'm done with progesterone at what, 12 weeks?

@LJMoon6 I haven't had to deal with an SCH before so I don't know how early they can appear. I did find one article that said they can happen any time between conception and birth.

@LJMoon6 are you using progesterone suppositories? If so, try to blunt the tip before insertion. I had bright red cervical bleeding because the vascularity increases a lot. After i started blunting the suppositories it mostly stopped.

@LJMoon6 I started having pink spotting at 4.5 weeks and had a few episodes of red bleeding in the days that followed. I was so upset and was sure I was having MC. I was sent for early ultrasound at 6weeks and baby was fine with a heartbeat and they couldn’t find a reason for my bleeding. I’ve continued to pink spot here and there and was told not to be concerned unless it becomes heavy or painful. I’m 7w5d now

I know it’s really scary but just wanted to share my experience so far ❤️

@LJMoon6 SCHs can happen at any time but common in first trimester and from what I e read, when they happen early they rarely cause issues. I just got diagnosed with one today at my 6w US. They’re checking me in a couple weeks to monitor. They can in rare cases cause issues but usually you will bleed it out or it gets absorbed by the body

@mamanbebe Hey friend! Wait, so you blunt the tip of the progesterone capsule? They won’t burst open on you? Lol I’m tying to picture this. Or are you talking about an applicator, because I don’t use one of those. I’m wondering if I just need to stop inserting them as far as I can? I did have spotting with my first, but not this early, and not this much or this red. They chalked it up to the suppositories then, so I’m hoping it’s the same case.

@runnergirl2018 Thank you for sharing about the SCHs. I knew they were nothing to really worry too much about. I just didn't know they could appear so early. That's good to know.

@LJMoon6, I'm sorry. Is it still spotting quantity wise? Are they having you come back in for a follow up beta?  FX it doesn't get any heavier and stops asap.

@zwink1 It's still just spotting. Red has turned back to brown though. I'm betting anything it's just the suppositories. Or at least that's what I'm going to keep telling myself. They wanted me to come back in on Monday for another beta but because of some scheduling issue I'm not getting in till Tuesday. In the grand scheme of things it won't make a difference. If I'm ment to miscarry then there's nothing we can do about it. I'm just sacrificing my sanity by waiting an extra day. But who needs that anyways lol

@LJMoon6 Sorry I posted and ghosted! I had suppositories that has the consistency of monistat, is yours a pill capsule? I do think it touching the cervix definitely could be your culprit but maybe there is a way to get it up there without irritation? Also, depending on your progesterone numbers, sometimes you can start tapering after 9 or 10 weeks if I remember correctly, so that you gradually reduce your body’s reliance after the placenta kicks in and starts producing progesterone on its own.

I should be at 7 weeks today. Had on and off spotting but was thrilled when my 1st HCG came back at 7343. 
But my new levels came back at 7707 with a progesterone drop.

Dr put me on progesterone pills when we got the 1st labs back as it showed it was low.
Waiting on a call back from Dr to see what happens now. Preparing for the worst.

Looks like I am out. Spotting started yesterday and dr confirmed today that numbers aren’t where they’re supposed to be and there was nothing in the gestational sac. They kept mentioning my lining was super thick so maybe that is the reason.. idk.. Anyways I wish everyone on july 2022 the best!

Hi. 5 weeks 0 days pregnant and having some dark to red blood clotting, not really any cramping just mild discomfort but also super stressed so could be that too. Baby was found on ultrasound today with HR 78. They said this is normal HR at this point and sometimes no HR is found this early. But the bleeding is freaking me out!!!! They also did not say they saw anything abnormal on the ultrasound. I myself suggested progesterone and they agreed to prescribe it for me. But has anyone else had something like this happen with a positive outcome? Looking for encouragement please!!

I have been spotting/bleeding since about 4.5 weeks and am now 6 weeks today. I had 3 hcg blood tests which all showed reassuring numbers, but I can’t help but feel panicked when I see the blood. It’s pretty continuous all day but not heavy enough that my doctor expressed concern. First ultrasound is tomorrow, fingers crossed everything is ok in there!!

@tulips721, did the bleeding start before or after your ultrasound?  If after, it could just be cervical bleeding from the wand.  It's reassuring that they found the HB and didn't mention anything concerning on the scan.

TW: spotting and miscarriage mentioned

Just an update and also wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Last Tuesday I was told I was having a mc. My hcg was under 1,000 which she said it should have been higher at this point and I was spotting. Us only showed sac. 

This morning I went in to have my hcg checked to confirm that it is going down.. well nurse called this evening to tell me that my numbers have increased to over 3,000 so I am scheduled for another us tomorrow.  I am so confused and frustrated.. TIA

Thank you so much for the crossing of fingers and hoping! I had the ultrasound and it showed a little baby measuring 6 weeks 3 days with a heartbeat of 120. I can’t even express how happy we are especially after being told it was a loss.

@francesgs Oh my gosh!! I'm so happy for you! I guess your dates were just off by a little bit and they assumed the worst? Idk if you have any other options for doctors but that situation would put me off wanting to use them for the remainder of the pregnancy. Anyway, I'm so so happy you got good news.
