I guess I’m the only one. I took my first positive test on Saturday. I’m 5+4, 40 years old. I was waiting for period to start first round of IUI. I’ve taken a test every day since and BFP but on Sunday I started lightly bleeding. Now it’s bright red with some clots and cramps. I went to urgent care Sunday night but they botched the blood test. Made an appointment with a local OBGYN and they did a vaginal scan today and an ultrasound. Found nothing but two new cysts that they said are normal and should go away. They say not to stress. I’m getting more blood taken Thursday. My stepsister is having an out of state engagement party this weekend. Then my SIL is getting married on the third. My next appointment is the 6th of July. Other than tired and emotional I don’t feel pregnant. I don’t know how I’m gonna get through these events. My DH told his parents already even though we discussed telling after 12 weeks. This is my first positive pregnancy ever. I’ve been trying since 2015. I’m so sad and scared right now. I feel like I don’t belong here. I went from excited to terrified so quickly
@greencupcake23 I am so sorry you are in this scary place right now. Did your OB discuss running betas? In a healthy pregnancy you will see them doubling every 48 hours at this stage, although that speed does slow down later. TW: When I had my mc in 2019, my doctor elected to run betas instead of an ultrasound to see what was going on. I think in your shoes I would ask them to do the bloodwork tomorrow and again on Friday. It really just isn't fair to be stuck in that horrible limbo, and I am so so sorry for the fear and loneliness you must be feeling right now. ❤
@greencupcake23 I agree with @modoodles ask your dr to run your betas at least for the peace of mind. Hopefully you can get some reassurance with the blood test Thursday.
Been having some spotting the last couple of days that makes me anxious. I've read that some spotting is normal but it's just so nerve-racking wondering if everything is okay.
Everything looks good! Just have to have the doc look at all the pics from the US today. Baby's heartbeat was strong and I'm so relieved that I don't appear to have any issues that caused the bleeding. We'll see what the doctor thinks!
Got an unexpected US today. I woke up with terrible shoulder pain and pelvic cramps so I had to go in to rule out ectopic.
Symptoms have not been like my other pregnancies so I’ve been very reserved with my feelings.
I am 6wk1d and gestational sac measured 6wks and there was a tiny, tiny toke sac. Too small to be measured. No fetal pole or heartbeat yet so my Dr. is cautious.
Midwife did a blood draw Friday. Nothing was open to do an ultrasound because it’s a holiday weekend and was already after hours. HCG was within normal range but bleeding has increased all weekend peaking today with large clots. 2nd blood draw tomorrow. I expect it to confirm loss.
Saw my midwife this morning for the second blood draw. She asked if there were any other tests I wanted run for a bigger picture. I told her run whatever she thinks is best because I don’t even know what to ask for. She’s definitely checking HCG and progesterone, ladies who have been here before any advice on what, if anything, I might ask for? She also mentioned checking thyroid and iron levels in a few weeks when I’ve stopped bleeding.
@fuscok88 I think hCG, progesterone, and thyroid levels are the only things my doctor checked me for when I had bleeding during pregnancy. I bled through first and third trimester with DS1, with a few big bleeds in first trimester. It ended up being placenta previa that resolved itself late in 3rd trimester. I have everything crossed for good news for you.
have been having intermittent brown discharge the last few days that I wasn’t super worried about, just noting…
but then today bright red blood when I wiped.
I’m on lovenox injections now, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s related to that. But I messaged my ob’s office (it’s after hours now) and I’m out of town til tomorrow evening. So I’m sure it’s just a watch and wait and cross our fingers that everything is okay situation. Not much I can do I presume. 🤷🏻♀️
@angelz429 - I had that with my son at one point, also on a blood thinner. Are you doing any suppositories or had intercourse recently? It’s terrifying but hopefully it’s nothing major - the blood thinner can make it seem worse.
