  • My newest scariest symptom is contractions in the evenings. BH I guess. They started on Saturday and I had 15-20 that were lasting over a minute in a two hour period. I ended up getting checked out at L&D to make sure I wasn’t going into preterm labor. Everything checked out fine and I have had them every night since, though not quite as many. I hate them and I can’t help but be paranoid that I’m going to end up in preterm labor, though they told me it can be normal with subsequent pregnancies to get them earlier and for them to be more intense. Anyone else ever experience contractions this early?
  • I'm feeling good overall. Just some heartburn sneaking up on me.

@babywiik It's amazing how much a woman's body changes and grows with pregnancy. It won't be easy, but I promise you'll do fine!

  • @kitkatz1990 yikes! That sounds scary! Hopefully it is just being more busy as you mentioned in the week 2 thread. I was reading about BH on the bump app this morning and it mentioned that a lack of water can also be a cause of BH. I hope they go away soon so you can rest without worrying♡

@crizz13 yeah, and I have all of you awesome ladies to go through it together with! I really love having this place to ask questions and share experiences with so many who are going through the same thing!
  • @krystrist2014 Yep, and MH is the happiest guy on earth. He was afraid my sex drive would never recover from First Trimester. I know some dudes are less enthusiastic about it though. I hope he comes around, for your sake 😉

  • @hedgepig me too! I mean don’t get me wrong, he’s enjoying it but can’t quite keep up which is leaving me a little sexually frustrated. MH was never an every day kind of guy.... suddenly that’s the kind of appetite I have.
  • I just want to go lay down. I’m super nauseous today. I drank OJ as recommended for the AS this morning. It has upset my stomach all day! I was so uncomfortable during the scan because I could feel heartburn coming on and have felt nauseous ever since. The OJ made baby move around a lot, which was part of the goal, but I think it was too much for a cute picture. No more OJ for me this pregnancy. 🤢
  • I’ve been feeling generally okay but sleeping on my side is starting to bother my back. I’ve been a stomach sleeper my whole life!

@krystrist2014 My sex drive has been through the fricken roof!! My ex and I used to be a multiple times a day type of couple, and now it’s been about 2 months since we split. I was doing fine at first bc I was nauseous all the time, but now I’m feeling quite antsy! Doing my best not to booty call him 😂 Fingers crossed your hubs keeps up w you!
  • @1sttimemomma98 girl, I would have no judgement for any pregnant woman needing a booty call because these hormones and all the extra blood flow to that area is enough to make a person crazy! Lol. I get why you are trying to resist and if that’s your goal then I am Hoping you stay strong..... but again, zero judgement if you don’t! 😆
  • Been feeling pretty good. My extreme shortness of breath, is 99% pregnancy related (and not asthma related), but my pulmonologist still wants to send me for an echo to be safe. I'm very hungry, lately, and want to eat all the sweets!

@krystrist2014 All I want is sex and MH has no time for that! He has been super stressed with work and being in quarantine for like 4 months. And I keep having the most vivid sex dreams. I told him, he better start taking advantage of this before I get (even more) gigantic and won't be able to figure how to do the damn thing!
  • @babywiik yes! They told me to up my water intake so I’ve been really trying to do that. Now I might as well live on the toilet 😂

@krystrist2014 not me!! 🙅‍♀️ But get it, girl! Lol

@potofgolden I’m sorry, I hope you feel better!! This heartburn is no joke!
  • New symptom as of today... my wrists hurt! I am on a computer all day at work and use my phone a ton as well. I've noticed it hurts alot when holding my cell phone up 😫
  • @name1109 actually they didn’t make me feel silly at all!! I really expected them to but they didn’t. I called first and talked to the on-call OB, he told me not to freak out and that it was probably fine, but to come get checked so I could have peace of mind and that it was good for me to get checked. He told them to expect me and when I got there they had two nurses ready and had me immediately in a room and hooked up. I felt stupid for going and they treated me like my concerns were valid and reassured me at the same time. I told my husband that it probably won’t be our last trip up there because I’m so paranoid, especially after my fast labor experience with my DD.
  • @kitkatz1990 that’s been my experience as well. L&D gets it. I hear you on fast labor.
  • I have a new symptom that actually started last month. At random times but especially after a big meal I get this annoying pain on the upper right side of my abdomen. No adjusting of position makes it go away. My initial googling led to scary gallbladder problems, the midwife thought it sounded liver-related, and a friend thought maybe it had to do with my diaphragm. My mom said she had it with all of her pregnancies and it was “agony”. 🤷🏻‍♀️
  • @name1109 I remember reading a comment from an L&D nurse once that said they’d rather see the same patient come in 100 times and get sent home than have them come in too late. That has always stuck with me. Better to be safe 100 times than sorry once.
  • @lalarose22 omg I have been soooo stinky lol. My natural deodorant is no longer cutting it and I have to reapply most days around lunch time. Not cool lol
  • @kitkatz1427 about going in to L&D 100 times and be sent home than come in too late, I never thought about it that way! Thanks for sharing! I feel it would be easy to think that I was over thinking things and not want to go in because it could be embarrassing to go in multiple times just to get sent home.
  • In June I was just tired all the time, I am STILL tired but I feel extremely heavy, and in the evenings or if I overdo it I feel like my vagina is going to fall out. I've been eating tums after dinner like candy, and I am a lot hungrier. So far I have only gained 2 lbs but at my appointment on 7/10 I am sure I made up for it:(

I’ve been feeling really tired around 3 every day. I get about 7 hours of restful sleep during the night so I don’t know why I’m tired.
@kitkatz1990 I’m having BH randomly too in the evenings! It doesn’t last long and not many but it was really strange! A bit concerning too.  FTM so I guess it could be something else 🤔 but my sister who has had 6 kids says it sounds like BH.
Babygirl is moving around like crazy! Any time I am still she starts kicking. DH hasn’t been able to be certain about feeling them yet.

  • Heartburn has been unreal the past few days. Tums are my life. Also anyone else (in particular STM+) already starting to have nipple leakage? It's not constant but annoying. I stopped pumping less than a year ago so I assume my body is just like "oh, yeah we remember what to do."  Praying this is a good omen meaning the twins will be champ BF'ers lol

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts Yup. Not noticeable or leaky but definitely milk/colostrum in there. And SUPER sensitive.

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts I never leaked while pregnant with DD, but my milk came in just fine. I stopped bf last October or November. I don’t plan to leak. 🤣As if I have a say in the matter. I really hope I don’t. I guess I need to find my bamboobies.
  • @potofgolden @crizz13 it's not constant thankfully, but annoying when it does. I woke up with just the left side of my shirt wet the other AM and it took me a bit to realize why lol. And then last nightsI was snuggling DD before bed got up and had a big wet spot again. It's strange because I rarely leaked even when pumping DD 🤷🏻 bodies are weird.

@lurvleybunchococonuts I'm glad you brought up the leaking! I've noticed it this past week and couldnt believe it. I cant remember how far along I was before this happened with DS, but it just seems too early lol. Glad I have still have pads from last time! 😅
  • I’m not sure if it’s pregnancy related, but this morning one of my eyelids was swollen. It’s been like that all day. I wasn’t wearing any makeup or contacts,  so that’s not it. I don’t remember scratching or hitting it. My eye isn’t red or itchy or painful. It’s just puffy and annoying.
  • @potofgolden That sometimes happens to me. Usually refresh tears will fix the issue in a pinch. It's prob excess water retention, if it's not itchy or painful.
  • @wychets your symptoms are 110% what I’m feeling. It’s really frustrating and not comfortable.
  • So tmi. My Vulva feels so sore and swollen. The dr said it’s extra blood flow but like seriously sometimes ouch. SO thinks it’s funny I’ve been icing myself.

  • @Ecat504 I swear she’s trying to come out now. I’m basically sitting a lot. Because I feel like I’m falling apart down there.
  • @Ecat504 sex is sometimes pretty painful for just that reason. I never thought of icing myself but it’s a good idea.
I think I felt hiccups this morning. It was a solid ten minutes of consistent movement, when usually I feel a few kicks and then nothing. My son got hiccups every evening at around nine when I was pregnant with him!
  • @name1109 yes the pressure is unreal I’m like “woah nelly we still have 19 weeks to go. Just calm down” I feel like if I sit too long it’s worse but also worse if I walk too much 😂 so basically I don’t know how to resolve it. Sitting on my yoga ball helps some.

  • @Ecat504 exactly. Baby 3 tried coming a month early. I even had a steroid shot to boost her lung development. (She ended up a day early but I spent the last month basically not doing anything).

I’ve stopped going on long walks or hikes (2 of 3 activities I feel are okay given COVID). I haven’t pulled out the yoga ball yet. I feel like that’s for giving birth right 🤣🤣🤣.

But seriously I’ve been freaking out. My appointment isn’t until the middle of the month.  It’s been a major drag.
  • The soles of my feet are almost always sore now. Heartburn every night. Getting in and out of bed is surprisingly more challenging lately, which makes early morning trips to the bathroom super fun.
  • I'm having some weird skin symptoms going on. As of two days ago, any facial cleanser, moisturizer, serum, etc. I put on my skin is causing my face to burn and get all red and splotchy looking. Its really bizarre. Its the same stuff I have always used so the only thing I can think of is that it is pregnancy related.
  • @bserena I’ve been getting super bad razor burn every time I shave lately. I never had it before, so I’m also thinking it’s pregnancy related!
  • @lalarose22 that would be my guess too! So many things change with pregnancy its pretty crazy
