@madasm0530 and @c-town18 I am loving the good news today! @c-town18 I think it's really good news how things are rising, yay! Congrats to both of you!

@laurad75 Sorry to hear about the negative HPT. I found that the generic brands were crap at giving me a reading (the blue Kroger kind) and finally broke down and bought the spendy FRERs. Those gave me a much better reading. Also I've written this before but for some reason afternoon pee worked much better for me than morning pee*shrug* GL! Sending <3
@laurelew sorry to hear about your coworker, it's so nervewracking, but yes, at least we have the PGS thing in our favor! I think that is the biggest reason for miscarriage. I have my first U/S on Thursday. I will think about joining you on PAIF if that goes well <3

lucyb1954 - Yeah, I mean in my obsessing over the weekend I of course found many ladies on past boards that had low first betas which then doubled at a promising rate only to go on and M/C a few weeks later.  So I'm trying to not get too excited I guess but it's still the best news that I could have received today!

@c-town18 Good luck today!  You too @madasm0530

I'm okay.  I couldn't sleep last night and I've become way too hopeful for tomorrow's blood test.  I peed on two different tests this morning and they are both faint but there is a line - I'll test again this afternoon which will be 24 hours since the original test where I saw the line.  This is probably the most out of my mind I have ever been during a TWW.  I really wish I could have a drink.

laurad75 - Well that sounds promising!  Maybe you have a late implanter/slow starter like mine seems to be.  In my obsessive research I read that sometimes frozen embryos can take a little longer to get going because of the thaw.  Not sure how scientific that is but it makes sense to me.

@madasm0530 I am so sorry they haven't called yet. I literally always read into that but honestly, sometimes they just get swamped or one of the coordinators isn't there that day or something. When I got my positive, my doctor called me directly and when I heard her voice and not my coordinators, I was SO scared but it was good news! Crossing my fingers for you <3

@laurad75 GL tomorrow! Any positive is a good sign and I'm crossing everything for you and sending so much <3 Go embryo go!

@laurelew thanks so much for remembering! I am SO nervous for tomorrow's ultrasound. All I can do is hope and pray and send good love to the embaby. It's at 1pm tomorrow Utah time, so I will keep you posted. How are you doing? Have you done your 9 week US by now?

madasm0530 - Yeaaah!  I'm convinced that your embaby split and there are two in there.  OMG that wait until your U/S is brutal!

laurad75 - Good luck today, sister!  Keep us posted, we're all rooting for you.

Will you guys tell me if I'm being difficult here?  So on the day of transfer they scheduled my beta and also said I had to schedule a "post-transfer" appointment with my RE for this week which I scheduled for tomorrow 7/31.  It would be a telephone consult and I'd be billed for it.  At the time I was like OK b/c I figured if the transfer didn't work then we would be able to discuss next steps.  So yesterday when I got a solid beta increase I told them I wanted to cancel my consult for tomorrow b/c what do we have to talk about before the U/S you know?  Well the nurse was like, I talked to [my RE] and she wants you to keep the appointment on Friday, you'l just discuss guidelines for early pregnancy and discuss OBs.  Um, this is my 4th time getting this far along (2 of them ended up not working out), I know what the rules are right now.  And I already have an OB from my 2018 birth.  Sooooo.... sounds like a waste of time and money to me.  I told them I wouldn't do it this week and wanted to postpone it until after my U/S next week so I can see whether this even looks like a viable pregnancy.  I'm sure they're annoyed that I'm pushing back but it's just a bullshit way to squeeze more $ out of me I think.  My RE owns the clinic BTW.  Eye roll.

@c-town18 I don't think that you're being unreasonable. yesterday when the nurse called with my results we literally went over all of that. I told DH, I wasn't trying to be rude but this isn't my first rodeo. I'd definitely push back and do that consult down the road!

My beta is high BUT it was over 2400 at this time with DS. I remember thinking there were two with him too.

At our US I will be 7+3. Again, not trying to compare everything to last time but it was much earlier.

@c-town18 oh I tested twice today before 9 am.  There is a progression and the most recent looks darker than 24 hours before but I just wish they got darker.  I should remind everyone that I'm using a notoriously unreliable (based on amazon review research that I didn't do before purchase) brand of test strips (easy @ home) and an extensive google research showed a lot of people actually had light lines with this brand but had perfectly fine hCG results.  In the past I had wondfo strips and I couldn't remember the name so I got a different brand.  Dumb.

@laurad75 maybe just a slow implanter! I’m remaining optimistic for you even though it wasn’t exactly what you wanted. The fact that lines are getting darker is good. ❤️🎉

@c-town18 oh yah, totally don’t let them bilk you! I got used to being a pushy patient during OE. if they have so much information, does it really warrant a discussion? My clinic sends an information sheet and the coordinator will email/call to respond to questions.

@m@madasm0530 thrilled for you! My US wasn’t until 7wk1d so I feel your pain. Like @laurad75 I was worried when you didn’t post that something was wrong!

    AFM
US today shows baby exactly on track at 7wk1d! Heartbeat at 153. Will go in for another next week for reassurance.

@madasm0530 Congrats on a great second beta!

@laurad75 I think those are very promising beta results.  FX that line keeps getting darker and that you have a great second beta on Monday.

@c-town18 Not unreasonable at all to cancel the appointment.

@lucyb1954 Whoo!!  So happy to hear that you had a great ultrasound today.  You asked if I had my week 9 ultrasound yet.  According to my infertility clinic they are only able to see me up to 8 weeks (maybe it is something specific to my state or my health insurance?).  Therefore I had my ultrasounds at 5w4d, 6w4d, and 7w4d.  I'm currently in a very agonizing wait until my first OB appointment on Aug 11 (I'll be 10w5d).  Today I officially hit the 9w mark. :)

laurad75 - Yup, I know how you're feeling. The fact that your tests are slowly getting darker though is a good sign, just keep reminding yourself of that.  What did they tell you about your progesterone level? (There's a reason I ask, I'm not just being nosy).

radmom27 - Thanks for rooting for us!  I don't blame you one bit for being frustrated... this is SUCH a frustrating process, especially when there are delays.  I'm glad you can get started with your shots now to move the process along.  Please keep checking in even just to let us know how you're feeling!

laurad75 - *TW* The nurse who called me on Monday with my second beta results is my favorite, and I tried to feel her out and figure out realistically how good or bad things were looking in light of my low 1st beta.  She said that my progesterone level was good (over 40 I think she said) and that's a good sign she said because often times with patients they will see a drop in progesterone right before an impending chemical pregnancy even though the patient is taking progesterone meds.  So FWIW, if they didn't tell you that your progesterone was low or you needed to adjust your progesterone meds, maybe that's a sign that things are going OK?  I dunno, just putting that out there.  *End TW*

Thank you @c-town18.  I am home from the blood draw.  Last time they didn't call me until after 2 in the afternoon so I'm going to fill the morning up with something distracting.  Lines still look good on the HPTs though so I feel pretty good.
