Glad I’m not the only one struggling with the update. How did y’all find it? I’m on my iPad webpage now.
I called the OB and she said topical it’s perfectly fine. Just no oral steroids unless my allergic reaction becomes life threatening. So I’m slathered in cream hoping for relief.
I love baby books. We picked them up whenever we saw one we liked. We have a huge kids library. She has books downstairs upstairs, in her room and at her grandparents house. I love books!
@mckjacks@babycakesday I found it! Make sure on the bottom you're on "Home" then click the menu in the top left corner (3 horizontal lines). Click the right-pointing arrow next to "Pregnancy" and then scroll down in that submenu... Community is near the bottom.
WHY, Bump, when we are feeling like we need Community most, would you hide it from us??
Took me a while to figure that shit out and came straight here to see who else was complaining! 😂😂 what the hell bump app people have too much time on their hands at home changing shit on us now?? It better now work at least.
But, seriously, who needs quick access to baby names more than the community??? Especially with COVID and everyone being stuck with less support than normal? 🙄
I don’t think we have an April symptoms thread, so I’ll post here.
Anyone been getting headaches!? I’m 14 weeks now and since about 12 weeks I’ve had 2ish days a week where I have a headache like all day! It really sucks. I’ve read it can be hormone related around this time. I also have seasonal allergies which may be contributing but MAN is it hard to entertain a 2 year old with it sticking around all day!
@ellemnop90 I have been getting a ton of headaches, and did through all my other pregnancies as well. I got a bottle of Peace of Mind from Origins and it helps a little, but otherwise I haven't found anything. I hope they go away soon for you!
@themoonandme I don’t really remember them from my last pregnancy, I’m hoping they don’t last long because even napping doesn’t really seem to help!
@profmcgonagall your username makes me happy each time I see it lol... I thought they might be gone for good after not having them for a week then I woke up with one today
@ginevere I hope I find something that helps soon because I have a hard time getting through the day sometimes, I just feel useless and helpless!
@ellemnop90 last two weeks I've been getting headaches, too. Mine usually don't last all day but small parts of most days. I have been dealing with some rough allergies so I think it's a mixture of that for sure. I have a microwavable heating pad that I just put on my head/face from time to time if it's really bad and I can't focus on anything else.
@ellemnop90 I get a headache every day or maybe it is just the world's longest headache. They are usually mild, so they are more annoying than painful most days. They started sometime between 6 to 8 weeks for me. I had absolutely no headaches with my other pregnancy. I feel like I've tried everything to get rid of them. I stay hydrated. I've tried Tylenol, heating pads, and ice packs. I've tried to sleep them off. Nothing seems to help. I read somewhere that headaches become a common issue during second trimester. Headaches suck. I feel your pain.
I am prone to headaches even while not pregnant, so the number of headaches I’ve had does not feel different than normal...but the fact that I can’t take Advil is a bother. Tylenol really doesn’t seem to do much to my headaches. My worst pregnancy symptom right now is the heartburn. Every. Night.
@ellemnop90 I've been getting headaches towards the end of the day, just after I lay on the sofa and rest for a bit. I've also been extremely exhausted up to week 12, getting better and more active now in week 13.
Has anyone been getting tachycardia after light physical activity (preparing breakfast or grabbing something from a shelf) or having a fast heartbeat (90bpm when resting and 110 after 30 minutes of walking slowly)?
Yep, I've been getting headaches 1-2 times per week, almost every Sunday/Monday. They knock me out for almost the entire day. The only thing that helps is to sleep it off, which sucks because it eats up an entire day and I feel lazy.
@mamahosch I hope those auras stay in line! I do suffer from migraine with aura but haven't had one for 2-3 years now. Before getting pregnant it was one of the most scary thoughts to imagine myself getting them daily or having to treat them with drugs that may harm my baby. I've been fortunate so far though!
@JLaVO888 thanks for mentioning caffeine! My headaches have been happening a lot in the weekends when I don't take coffee for breakfast
@glupglup yep, my heart rate is pretty elevated. Just sitting on the couch right now it’s 83 when it would usually be in the 60s. The downside to having a Fitbit is that I tend to obsess about it. In third tri last time it would get up to the 120s when I was standing and cooking.
I’ve been getting headaches too. Luckily right now Tylenol is working in them.
I’m amazed I haven’t had any heartburn. By 12 weeks last time it was horrible.
@calliah While it's probably nothing, I would also ask your OB if she can check your hemoglobin and other iron-associated blood levels, as what you're describing *can* be an indication of anemia. Easily remedied with supplements or iron infusions if you are anemic.
(I speak here from personal experience - I had a similar set of symptoms a few years ago and ended up having virtually no hemoglobin when they drew my bloodwork!)
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
I have to say, I’m really glad I ordered myself an at home fetal Doppler. Not having an appointment since 8 weeks was really taking a toll on my sanity for knowing baby was okay. I’ve only done it about once every week so I’m not overdoing it, but I’ve been able to find baby’s heartbeat right away every time. It has given me so much peace of mind! I finally get to go in on May 5, so about 2 more weeks! Ready for my OB to say everything is fine.
I had an OB appointment today and it went well it was just a checkup. We found baby's heartbeat right away but the stinker moved immediately and we had to search again😂 ob said I should be feeling movement soon given how quickly baby bounced around. I think I started feeling something at night so fingers crossed the stupid anterior placenta isn't blocking much!
I've had headaches but they usually start at night and into morning... I think I'm not doing a very good job of staying hydrated enough and it gets bad overnight. I've also started having heartburn this week which is crazy because I don't think I had it until third tri last time! Luckily nausea seems to have vanished, but I'm too scared to stop taking my nausea meds yet. Last time I didn't get off of them until about 25 weeks because every time I stopped, I would start throwing up again. Here's to hoping it's easier this time!
Gosh they also added all kinds of months for the BMBs. I was so used to clicking the second one down that I stopped reading it and just clicking out of habit. Now I actually have to scroll down a tad to get to October. It’s a little annoying but mostly exciting knowing we are moving along!

I ordered one, too, and have tried it twice - once at 13 weeks and again a few nights ago (14+1). I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or if it's just too early yet, but I haven't been able to get her heartbeat. I think I managed to spot it once or twice on my second try, but it wasn't sustained, if that makes sense. Like, it picked up a faster heartbeat for a split second and then nothing after that. I really would like to be able to get it good enough to video so I can send to my mom and MH's mom since neither of them live close by.
@babyodo that happened to me a couple of times. Like it was there for a couple of seconds and suddenly gone. I think baby was on the move and said “no thanks mom!” Lol. Keep trying, I’m sure you will find it!
@babyodo have you tried low enough? I keep finding my baby’s heartbeat like right where my pelvis starts like near my hairline down there. It’s a lot lower than I expect. Keep trying, I’m sure that baby is just moving all over the place making it hard to pick up. Sometimes if the baby moves away really fast I try like two cm next to it and I’ll be able to pick it up.
@babyodo I used to have to chase my daughter around with the Doppler. I found that she was most calm and in one place about the time I’d lay down for bed. So anytime I listened I tried to do at the same time every time. Maybe try finding a calm time for yourself and see if baby follows suit?
DD’s school had a drive by time where you could wave to the teachers and kiddos still there. It ended up being way more emotional than I expected. Not sure if it’s just pregnancy emotions to blame but I cried. 😥
For you ladies that know you’re having boys, I had my NIPT and NT scan yesterday and the ultrasound tech and I were certain we saw little boy parts on the baby. She went and did different parts of the scan and would come back to that area and they were still there. Has anyone else seen boy parts on their ultrasound and NIPT confirmed?
@anitamargarita_82 At my ultrasound the dr said he was 70% sure it was a boy... I couldn’t see it, but he’s been doing ultrasounds for 40 years so I believed him. NIPT results a week later confirmed his guess.
@anitamargarita_82 US tech has “guessed” correctly every pregnancy so far for us at anywhere from 12-14 weeks. (Of all her 20 years she’s only guessed incorrectly 2 times at the first tri scan) I would only trust your tech if they are really experienced becuase it’s more than just seeing parts at this stage because both sex’s have parts that stick out.
@anitamargarita_82 I just had my NT scan on Monday, and the ultrasound tech asked if I wanted to know the sex. I told her no since my boyfriend couldn’t be there because of the pandemic. I just had the NIPT blood draw today. I’ve been wondering since Monday if by asking if that means it’s a boy. Hopefully we’ll both find out soon.
Has anyone had someone guess girl at that appointment, and been correct?

I kept clicking the actual word “pregnancy” and it takes you to a completely different place than clicking the arrow next to it, SO annoying!!

Today was a good day for me, no headaches. It’s amazing how different you feel when they are gone, I felt so refreshed.
