How are you feeling? Good today! Relieved after anatomy scan, I didnt take my unisom last night so I am crossing my fingers I won't feel like death this afternoon. I plan on trying to go without maybe once a week to see how I do.
Raves/Rants:
Questions:
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? Oooh hard one. I love drama and action movies, war movies, and I also enjoy all the marvel movies.. I don't enjoy horror or just really stupid comedy. Like Talladega Nights or Super Troopers? Hard Pass. This is super unpopular with my husband and our best friends. They will quote movies all day long and I never have a clue what they are talking about.
The last movie I saw in theaters was probably Charlie's Angels, or that Christmas one with Emilia Clark, but last night we watched X-Men Dark Phoenix at home.
EDD/weeks+days: Well, either July 12 or July 6th based on the recent AS
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Banana
Upcoming appointments: March 4
How are you feeling? Tired today but pretty decent.
Raves/Rants: Had the AS scan Friday which was wild! Also had a generally fun weekend with a small gathering Saturday evening and fancy dinner reservations Sunday.
Questions: Two today! 1. My AS said my new due date was July 6 but my one first trimester said July 12. Obviously going to talk to my OBGYN but, based on ovulation, the 12th is more accurate. How much should I push/advocate for the 12th to remain my due date? I mostly want to avoid the chance of being induced.
And #2 - I don't sleep on my back but I recently watched a prenatal yoga video where they were like "here is the adjusted shavasana for you since you cannot lay on your back" and like...I definitely do lay on my back occasionally when I sleep/futz on my phone/etc. Any idea on how much is ok?
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw?
I love a good historical fiction/biopic (loved Little Women, looking forward to seeing 1917, Milk is one of my all time faves which is up there with Argo) and anything that will make me cry (Beasts of the Southern Wild springs to mind, I sobbed through that. Also, Toy Story 3.)
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: the bump said ‘dryer sheet box’ soooo yeah
Upcoming appointments: Tomorrow we meet with the MFM/new OB/perineonatologist at 8am and possibly interviewing orthopedic surgeons as well. I have a million questions written down so hopefully they can calm my nervous mind.
How are you feeling? Crap. overwhelmed. Everything. DS has roseola so he’s home today and DH decided to stay home too so i am not getting anything accomplished.
Raves/Rants: We made the tough decision that at this point I’m going to stay in the military. There’s just too much in the air right now, and although I get paid 1/3 of my civilian counterparts and overall I’m done...moderately shitty free insurance is better than nothing and I’m getting promoted so we can leave GA and move (hopefully Hawaii or Texas) in October. It was sad turning down some real great job opportunities, but my bosses are ecstatic I’m staying in. We get a lot of perks, especially with my job and experience and I do absolutely love taking care of the most amazing service members and their families soooo...to another couple years we go.
Questions: Is anyone else just done with pregnancy and ready for July to be here 🤭
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw?
My favorite is comedy (favorite movie is Tommy Boy, no shame here) but with a toddler my current genre is ‘Disney and paw patrol’ last movie we saw was Frozen 2 last adult movie we saw alone was Avengers: Endgame
EDD/weeks+days: 7/5... but really more like somewhere btwn 5/25-6/12ish? ; 21+1
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: least weasel.. weighs as much as a can of soda
Upcoming appointments: Follow up MFM appt on 3/30
How are you feeling? Good as long as I take my Prilosec.... which I didn't over the weekend. So I felt like garbage last night. But, lesson learned!
Raves/Rants:
Questions:
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? Horror... hands down! DH and I looooove horror movies! We're really tolerant of, what others would consider, bad horror movies because we just love it so much. AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? Dark Waters... it was really good!
How are you feeling? Physically, fine. Mentally...eh. I'm just ready for spring so I can be out of my wintertime funk. I just feel like everything I do is just mediocre.
Raves/Rants: Teaching at a big school with lots and lots of teachers is frustrating sometimes. I feel like it has been years since I've gotten any legitimate feedback on my teaching. I can't help but wonder if I'm not doing a good job. I know, I would have probably been told if I sucked, but for some reason it really gets me down. I think that as humans we need to be praised/told we are on track every once and awhile. I see my other colleagues getting recognized for things and sometimes they are people who don't even get to school on time and leave someone else to watch their entire class until they waltz in and I'm frustrated. Our admins are super busy and overwhelmed with trying to fix all the issues at our school, so I feel like observing and meeting with teachers is only done when required by the central office.
Questions: Any TTM+ do a big brother/big sister class at the hospital before your second arrived? I saw that ours does it once a month and was just curious if it was worth my time. GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? I like comedies, Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, stuff like that. Last movie I saw in theaters was the last Star Wars and at home we watched Mary Poppins Returns yesterday (which was so cute!).
@pocketrose My doctor told me that they wouldn't change y due date unless an early scan showed more than a week off. I'm not sure if that's how everyone does it though. I think sleeping on your back for long periods of time isn't great, but I still lay on mine while on the couch for shorter periods.
@footdrbritt I am glad you finally get to see your new doc tomorrow. I hope it goes well!
@pocketrose they probably won’t change it. I had a similar issue with DS and they kept the later date, we were given so many different due dates we just kept the original one.
@pocketrose that sounds like a super fun weekend! Question 1: So, regarding your anatomy scan, from what I understand, the further along you are, the less accurate they are for dating purposes. Unless your doctor actually tells you that you have a new due date, the first one should still be accurate. Especially because it wasnt a week or more off. Question 2: I would not worry at ALL about lying on your back. You will get uncomfortable and change positions before any amount of time on your back will cause problems for you or baby.
@footdrbritt I thought about you this weekend- I hope tomorrow's appointment will ease some of your anxiety, I'm sure you are beyond overwhelmed at this point. I'm with you- is it July yet?
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out this afternoon! eek!
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: I forget and too lazy to check. I think banana...?
Upcoming appointments: AS this afternoon!
How are you feeling? anxious for my AS. Really hoping for no surprises (other than finding out the sex)
Raves/Rants: not pregnancy related whatsoever, but my boss is out all week. yay!
Questions: nothing right now
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? Uhhh.... I'm not super into movies tbh. Genre totally depends on my mood. The last movie we saw in theaters was I think Incredibles 2 and the last movie we streamed was a throwback... Memento.
@pocketrose +1 for not worrying about laying on your back. My friend used to wake up on hers all the time... but, like, aggressively woke. Like, her body was telling her something wasn't right. I'm sure yours will do the same. From what I understand, the concern is for mama. The added weight in your ute puts pressure on some blood vessels, I think? My point in saying that is that you'll know something is up... vs if you were cutting off something to baby and just didn't even know.
@modoodles I'm with you... MH made me start watching Super Troopers, and I think I lasted 15 minutes before I told him I couldn't do it. So glad your AS went well!
@pocketrose did your OB say they wanted to switch to the 6th? Generally they still with the earliest scan date since it's most accurate, but I know you switched providers so maybe they're going off their first scan? I would definitely push for keeping the original date though if it's more in line with your ovulation date. Re: lying on your back, I think it's fine as long as you don't start feeling light headed. That's what my OB's recommendation has been anyway. I still do it for some exercises and frequently wake up on my back too. *shrug*
@footdrbritt I hope your appt tomorrow goes well. I hope your decision to stay in the military works out for the best. I know you were looking forward to being out, but hopefully the perks will outweigh the disadvantages. I'm sure that was a tough decision, and I hope you have a little bit of peace after having decided which way to go.
@blaf322 I need to know your thoughts on the Saw series. My sister and I had a guilty pleasure in watching them, but most people look at me like I'm a psychopath when I tell them that. lol
@JessDG sorry about your lack of feedback at work. That sounds really frustrating. Re: the big sibling class, I'm only a STM, but I plan on taking DD to the one my hospital offers. Idk if it'll help or still be too abstract for her to understand at 2, but I figure it can't hurt and ours is only $12 so whatever.
Upcoming appointments: synergy meeting on 3/5, AS on 3/9
How are you feeling? Finally like a human again. DD has finally decided at 19 months that sleeping through the night is a good thing, it is amazing how much better that has made me feel!
Raves/Rants: we are moving!!! The sale of our current house is almost finalized, and the construction on our new house should be done by late March. So much going on with that!
Questions: STM+ anyone feel like you aren’t connecting with this pregnancy the way you did with your first? I feel like I am too busy and just often forget he’s in there and am going to be surprised when I actually pop out a baby in a few months and have to bring him home.
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? Ever since we had DD, we aren’t big movie people. The last movie I saw in theatres was Christmas Vacation, we go every year in tacky sweaters. DD was 4 months old and we took her. But that was well over a year ago. I like action, comedy, based on actual events movies. My list of movies I want to see is so long and I have not actually sat down to cross one off the list in months.
@pocketrose #1 I’m with everyone else that due dates don’t really change at this point. It might just be a bigger baby, so “measuring ahead”. Growth is a curve, has to be someone at the top and the bottom. #2 it can put pressure on your vascular systems to lay on your back, but I think you would get uncomfortable long before you did any damage. You are supposed to just have a slight tilt when laying on your back, nothing major.
@footdrbritt that is such a hard decision, but I’m glad you are feeling good about yours! I’m sure your patients are thrilled that you have decided to stay in. FWIW we were stationed in Hawaii for an extended tour and I absolutely LOVED it.
@modoodles I have thought about trying to wean off the unisom as well, but I am terrified. I hope it goes well for you!
@kc0711 we are hoping for Hawaii but the new restructuring of army medicine may kick dependents off of base so not sure how they’re going to move me. The other issue is all the issues this new kiddo has means we can only go to big bases/tertiary care, which is great because it limits where we’ll go even more. I talked to HR today so hopefully we can hammer out details ASAP
@pocketrose The 1st trimester US is most accurate in terms of due date. It’s normal for the AS to show a different date. Baby is growing at its own rate now and it gets harder as the pregnancy progresses to get a more accurate measurement. They won’t usually change your date unless it’s a very big difference.
@footdrbritt Good luck with all those appointments! Hopefully you’re able to get some more peace of mind after that.
@kc0711 I wouldn’t say I’m not connecting, but it’s definitely different experience. It’s totally different when there’s already an other kid to chase around. I almost forget I’m pregnant sometimes 🤷🏼♀️
EDD/weeks+days: 18+2
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue!
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: weighs the same as a hamster today, apparently
Upcoming appointments: OB this week, AS in a couple weeks.
How are you feeling? Not bad. The fullness and uncomfortable feeling after eating a big meal has definitely arrived. It’s been great feeling this little guy kick though!
Raves/Rants: Hm. Nope?
Questions: nope
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw?
Totally depends on my mood. I tend to prefer lighter stuff though. Comedy, romantic comedy, etc. I do love a good period drama though. Horror is probably my least favorite. Most recent movie watch was Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire. Sort of, it was a partial watch that I was watching on and off during the day but I’ve seen it a zillion times before.
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Hot dog, hot dog hot diggity dog
Upcoming appointments: March 2nd - AS
How are you feeling? Great! I THINK I felt the baby move last night, felt like little flutters and it didn't result in a gas release so pretty sure it was what I was feeling.
Raves/Rants: A little anxious for our AS coming up, we didn't have any genetic testing or anything else early on in the pregnancy so I'm anticipating something? I'm not sure...ah! Also scored some Motherhood Maternity jeans that feel like butter on my legs and are so comfortable, not to mention they were 60% off with the store closing!
Questions: None
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? This is a hard one, I enjoy comedies but I also like a few horror flicks thrown in. Star Wars.. that's it's own genre Last movie I saw in theaters was actually Frozen 2; I haven't been to the movies since.
EDD/weeks+days: 7/17, 19 + 3. Almost halfway, CRAZY.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: pink
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: zucchini, she's developing fat to help regulate her temperature. and hair!
Upcoming appointments: AS on 3/2!
How are you feeling?: Exhausted but fine. Nervous and excited for the AS next week.
Raves/Rants: I wish we had done more at the house this weekend but, ya know. DH watched 8 hours of basketball on Saturday and I turned into a crazy person because I was starving and annoyed that he not only was a slug all day but also went to McDonald's without telling me. lol. I guess the pregnancy is finally affecting me. Rave - my mom was in the ER Friday night but is doing fine now, thank god. I went deep into a mood about my parents' morality because I realized neither of them will probably be here for this baby's wedding - there's 0 chance for my dad (he's 84), and hardly one for my mom (72). wah. BUT she is coming to visit this weekend and then going to the AS with me on Monday, so I'm very excited for that! Also, I finally went to that kid's consignment sale and got a bunch of stuff I didn't need! woohoo! I did get a pack & play and playmat to keep at my IL's house so that was good, and several swaddle me blankets, so those were the practical things. Then I got a ton of onesies in larger sizes (9m+) since I figured we won't get anything that big and they had all these onesies stuffed into a bag so it was like 8 for $4. I also got several things in 12m size for next year which I definitely could've waited for NEXT year's spring/summer sale to buy, but they made me happy so whatever! I already can't wait for the fall/winter sale haha
Questions: does anyone else have 2nd tri blahs? what is wrong with me? I've been down/irritable for like 3 weeks. Shouldn't I be pumped right now?
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? Romantic comedies/cheesy sh*t but also those like end of the world disaster movies - specifically natural disasters or diseases, none of the zombie type stuff. I watched No Strings Attached on Amazon prime over the weekend.
@kc0711 yes to not connecting to this pregnancy as much. This is going to sound HORRIBLE... but I feel like I just don't care as much. I do. I care about this baby tremendously. I just don't have the same connection I feel like I had already made with DD at this point. I think it's just because life is busy now. So much busier than before. Also, like, how do you love another kid as much as you love your first?! From talking to other STM+ I know it happens. And you do love them just as much.... but it's just hard to fathom right now. If that makes any sense.
@stlbuckeye132 I watched them all and, while it's not my favorite type of horror, I do love them. I will say, as I got older and new versions came out, I got more and more squirmy when watching them... which I also love lol.
@modoodles let me know how you feel without your Unisom... I've been taking diclegis for quite a while and I'm terrified to come off.
@pocketrose I'd say that laying on your back, as long as your comfortable, is fine (per Emily Oster). I still do when I'm lounging in bed or scrolling through Instagram.. but if I start to feel uncomfortable I just put more pillows under me to prop me up a bit.
@footdrbritt I'm ready, but mainly just ready for the nice summer weather :P a little scared to give birth haha..
@blaf322 have you seen Thankskilling on Netflix? It's a terrible horror movie and it makes me die laughing every time. SOOO cheesy!
@JessDG I'm also in a wintertime funk, ready for warm weather and to not be a hermit anymore!
@stlbuckeye132 yay for finding out this afternoon! excited to hear what you'll be having
@kc0711 congrats on the sale of your current house! i'd love to build a house one day.. sounds so exciting!!!
@blaf322 nope that pretty much sums it up! I know I will love him just as much as DD when he gets here, but that’s when he gets here. At this point in DD’s pregnancy, I was just so in love with her and focused on her, and that has only continued since she came to the outside world. She’s also very much on a mama kick these days and wants to give me hugs, kisses, and snuggles constantly, which just melts my heart. I’m trying to be more mindful and spend some time in the evenings talking to him and trying to connect once she goes to sleep. I know it’ll be fine, but I do feel kind of guilty.
Thanks all re:all of the things! @stlbuckeye132 That's the main reason I'm concerned, my first ultrasound was with one practice and the second with another. Second was done at the hospital and my OB hasn't seen it yet presumably/won't until we meet next week but I plan on advocating for keeping the 12th.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: find out on Wednesday
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Yeah, I’m about 3 babies past fun facts 😆
Upcoming appointments: AS on Wednesday!!
How are you feeling?: Physically I’m forgetting that I’m pregnant, just because of the other stuff going on.
Raves/Rants: I had a mini mental breakdown last week but I’m good now. My son has an endoscopy on Thursday and I’m feeling nervous about all that. It’s just been a week.
Questions: No questions but holy moly there are lots of baby boys in this group!
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? Comedy. DH and I watched “Bottleshock”. It was so bad it was good. 😆
Upcoming appointments: OB today and hopefully schedule AS
How are you feeling? Tired. My SI joint is still driving me bonkers. I'm still taking diclectin. I forgot on the weekend and I sure noticed. I guess I'm not really surprised because I took it all the way through with my first.
Raves/Rants: I *think* I've been feeling the baby for a little bit everyday for the last few days which is kind of nice. My husband asked me last night if it was weird growing a baby and I said yes, I think even more weird for me now that I see my daughter growing and learning and realizing she was artichoke size at one point too.
Questions:
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? I love romantic comedies. The last movie I watched was the Irishman on Netflix... it took us 3 nights to get through it lol. I can't even remember the last movie I saw at a theater, probably Dunkirk.
@modoodles I hope you can make your way off the unisom. I'm going to ask my OB how bad it will be if I just stay on diclectin the whole time lol.
@pocketrose I'm more concerned about back sleeping because I often fall asleep on my back and wake up with tingly hands.. oops. A good reminder to mention it at my appointment today haha. As for due dates, with my first they changed my due date (moved it up), but forgot to tell me until after my AS. Apparently one of my earlier u/s showed a different day and she made note of it but forgot to change it in my chart. So I went to my appointment thinking I was 22 weeks, and left at 23 weeks.
@footdrbritt Good luck at your appointment tomorrow. I hope you get all of the answers to your questions.
@kc0711 Congrats on selling your house! That's always a relief. I'm having a hard time connecting to this baby too, I think because the 16 month old demanding breakfast is just so much more real than the artichoke sized fetus who is just making me feel like garbage lol. **TW** Plus last time was just nervewrecking after a previous loss, so I was living for each ticker change. If that makes sense.
How are you feeling? Had braxton hicks most of weekend, otherwise decent
Raves/Rants: More comment FIL is in ICU, best friend's Mom's funeral was Saturday. Weekend felt like a lot. Spouse is going home to her hometown for at least two nights but still going to teach. FIL will be in nursing home for at least 8 weeks recovering due to fall.
Questions:
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? Drama, but I also love documentaries. 1917 (eh, it wasn't all that).
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Red swingline stapler
Upcoming appointments: 3/21
How are you feeling? More like myself... with a noticeable bump now... finally
Raves/Rants: Dr said if I keep watching my weight and everything goes well I can definitely go for a natural birth, I was so happy
Questions: my nipples get super dry, overall my skin, I am drinking lot of water but I feel I need to soak myself in body lotion way to often, anyone else?
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? I think thrillers although I enjoy a good drama or action movies
AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? Overboard at Home, we don't go to the cinema quite often because of DS unless its a cartoon movie, last time there as a couple we saw Bad Boys and I loved it.
@kc0711 I think you are not alone, I think that since I already have a toddler who demands my attention I haven't like assimilated that there's a growing baby inside of me, I mean I just popped and began to feel subtle kicks so it's kinda difficult to not notice, but it's nothing like last time. It is not that you don't love this baby is just that right now you might be focusing on other stuff... maybe is just us not wanting to overwhelm ourselves knowing that our life will change once again... I can't really explain it but you are definitely not alone
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: team surprise (I think it’s a boy yet we have 0 boys names)
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Banana Banana (minion voice)
Upcoming appointments: sometime in March / funny thing how I was on top of things with the first and and second kid and totally disorganized with this one
How are you feeling? honestly, and I feel like this is a safe space, but I don’t feel great. I don’t like complaining irl bc so many people struggle with getting pregnant. This is my 3rd and it goes without saying that I’m so grateful, but I’m so tired. My feet and legs are fat and swollen already which never happened before. I feel worn out from basically nothing. My stomach is big and it’s hard to move and I know it’s just going to get bigger and bigger.
The baby moves a lot though and I love it. I tried to get my husband to feel but it’s not that strong yet.
Raves/Rants: Everyone and everything is irritating. Questions:
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? Romance or comedy AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? P.S. I Still Love You on Netflix and I loved it. Loved the books loved the movie. Can’t wait for the 3rd one.
@pocketrose being flat on your back can decrease blood flow to the baby. Being propped up a little helps or even doing a small tilt to either side. Not a big deal. The left side is the best side for the baby but the other positions are ok, too!
@kc0711 hooray for sleeping through the night!! Maybe I need to preface this with FFMC, but tbh I had a hard time connecting with DD and it's been the same this time around too. It's partially why I decided to find out sex this time so I can at least know that and think of baby as a he/she and by name before he/she is here. I have had really easy pregnancies, and I frequently forget about being pregnant and have never related to the people who talk about singing/talking to baby every day. That's just not me. Also... and I might get flamed, but I didn't feel that instantaneous overwhelming love the second DD was born. I absolutely loved her, without a doubt, but it still felt like we were strangers at first and we had to learn one another. Idk, I feel like everyone makes it seem like you get struck with a love lightning bolt immediately, and that was not my experience. My experience was more of a slow burn. Just throwing that out there so if anyone else feels similarly after birth, know you're not alone.
@b_1029 I'm glad your mom is doing better now and you got some good finds at the resale!
@pocketroseI bet your OB will keep the original due date. I'd def push back if they try to switch it though.
@rachstar18 I hope your son's endoscopy goes well!
@bluguitarhannah ugh that does sound like a rough weekend. I'm sorry.
@MrsTiger123 complain away! I think we all understand that while we're grateful to be pregnant, a lot of aspects of it can suck!
@b_1029 glad the resale turned out well and your Mom is doing better.
@kc0711 Woo hoo on the sleeping through night. I will confess a baby that doesn't sleep is one of my biggest fears. I was evidently an amazing sleeper but my brother didn't sleep through the night until 5.
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Pomegranate (This is the first time my 2 apps have said the same f/v, usually one is a week ahead)
Upcoming appointments: Anatomy scan in March. Haven't had an US yet and really looking forward to that!
How are you feeling? I am... okay. Still exhausted, burnt out at work, not quite feeling myself!
Raves/Rants: MH has been SO GREAT recently. He's never been great about doing things I want without asking but the last few weeks he has just been on top of it! I really need to reward him lol, now that I think of it perhaps that's why he's on his toes. Also, I made a vegetarian version of a Rueben this weekend and am counting down the minutes until I can have one for lunch! So good.
Questions: Do you have kids with an age gap that share a room? Or are you planning on having your LO share with an older sibling? DD is 5, she is super excited about baby/talking about how she can rearrange her room to make space for baby to share (its super cute). BUT I know it's only so long before she wants someone almost 6 years younger than her in her space! We are hoping to build on or move in the future, but for now that's our plan.
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? I like things that are easy to watch, comedy/rom com! MH is opposite and I realize every time he picks a movie I do actually really like it though. I prefer TV shows.
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: I have no idea!!! I am so bad at this!!!
Upcoming appointments: AS and dr appointment Wednesday
How are you feeling? So much better!!! My anxiety is down and I don’t feel as nauseous. More energy.
Raves/Rants: I got my house some what cleaned this week and that makes me feel better!!!
In regards to bonding with this pregnancy... I am bonded, but I also still have a wall up. I am still waiting for the bad news...which makes no sense because everything has been fine. We have just wanted a boy for so long, my girls talk about him all the time and love him so much, and my husband is just so excited. Us having a boy seems like such a dream, and it’s really hard to believe it’s going to come true.
Questions:
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? I love romance!!! Last movie I watched was Dear John.
@bluguitarhannah I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL. Falls are tough. Hopefully recovery is relatively smooth!
@mrsdrez your, "took 3 days.." comment made me laugh. I relate to that so hard lol.... it took us multiple days to get through a 1hr show about a month or so ago. It was comical by the time we got through it.
@MrsTiger123 whaaat?! There's a follow up to PS I love you? I cried my face off at the original!
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: a box of dryer sheets
Upcoming appointments: nothing scheduled at the moment, but waiting on a call from the Maternity Clinic
How are you feeling? the answer I give everyone is good, but tired. For J20 I also don't want to complain, but man...i.am.tired. I am so thankful for this pregnancy, but it's so much harder this time around, I can't believe I potentially have 20 weeks to go. I need to book a vacation day to get caught up on sleep.
Raves/Rants: I'm literally the only person from my department at the office today, so it's really quiet. I'm not being super productive, but I'm enjoying my downtime and trying to get caught up on my screen time We had a really nice weekend as a family.
Questions: nada
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? we're not huge movie goers, but I think the last one I saw in theatres was when I was pregnant with DS...can't even tell you the name At home we recently watched Brittany Runs a Marathon on Amazon Prime, it was one of those feel good movies. As for genre, it really depends on my mood. lately it's been movies on the lighter side, but every now and then I appreciate a good psychological thriller, or drama.
@mrs_sheddy we’re currently in a 2 bedroom bungalow, so our kids will be sharing a room. No immediate plans to move, but maybe a few years down the road. DS is excited for bunk beds though!
@pocketrose I worry about that too, but most nights when I wake up I’m on my back. I think your body just knows to alert you if something should be adjusted.
@kc0711 +1 for not being super connected yet. I think it’s mostly due to the fact that I have so many other things to think about (ie DS has a cavity and a dental appointment this week, that’s taking up my extra thinking time 😂). I do feel baby move everyday though as a little reminder.
@MrsTiger123 oooooh.... I thought it was a follow up to P.S. I Love You.
@coffeeandcookies84 I loved Brittany Runs a Marathon! My plan is to rewatch it once I'm cleared/able to run again because it motivates me like crazy! I was in tears at the end and totally wanted to stand up and cheer for her, right there in the theater lol
How are you feeling? Pretty good. Some gnarly heartburn today for no discernible reason (besides pregnancy, ha).
Raves/Rants: We put in another offer for a house last night. The seller’s agent sounds like they’re trying to drum up other offers because we’re the only one right now (I think). We’ll see. Trying not to get my hopes up but...my hopes are definitely up. 🤷♀️
Questions: When can someone else feel a kick? I feel pretty decent kicks if I’m on my stomach. Last night I had DH put his hand under my belly button area and I laid down on my stomach for a couple minutes. His face lit up at the same time I felt a poke so I think it was legit but also seems early. We may have just timed it JUST right. We’d just had sex, too, so maybe little dude woke up and got active right after (or it was wishful feeling with DH). Either way, super cool! And it helps my anxiety to feel movement now and then, even if not every day at this point.
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? I don’t think I have a genre, I love movies. We’ve been trying to catch up on the Oscar noms so we watched Parasite (fantastic) last weekend and JoJo Rabbit (good, but not as great as Parasite) this past weekend.
The app is getting on my last nerve today. I’ve had to log out and back in three times today and only now was able to post anything. *shakes fist in air*
Re: J20 Weekly Check In 2/24/20
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Dollar Bill
Upcoming appointments: March 20
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: blue!
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: the bump said ‘dryer sheet box’ soooo yeah
Upcoming appointments:
Tomorrow we meet with the MFM/new OB/perineonatologist at 8am and possibly interviewing orthopedic surgeons as well. I have a million questions written down so hopefully they can calm my nervous mind.
How are you feeling? Crap. overwhelmed. Everything. DS has roseola so he’s home today and DH decided to stay home too so i am not getting anything accomplished.
Raves/Rants:
We made the tough decision that at this point I’m going to stay in the military.
Questions:
Is anyone else just done with pregnancy and ready for July to be here 🤭
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw?
last movie we saw was Frozen 2
last adult movie we saw alone was Avengers: Endgame
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out!
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Pomegranate
Upcoming appointments: OB March 3, AS March 9
Memento.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: blue!
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: artichoke?
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out!
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Hot dog, hot dog hot diggity dog
Upcoming appointments: March 2nd - AS
How are you feeling? Great! I THINK I felt the baby move last night, felt like little flutters and it didn't result in a gas release
Star Wars.. that's it's own genre
Last movie I saw in theaters was actually Frozen 2; I haven't been to the movies since.
5.5.16 | 8.14.17 | 1.30.19
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: artichoke
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Bell pepper
Upcoming appointments: March 12 3rd OB
How are you feeling? Had braxton hicks most of weekend, otherwise decent
Raves/Rants: More comment FIL is in ICU, best friend's Mom's funeral was Saturday. Weekend felt like a lot. Spouse is going home to her hometown for at least two nights but still going to teach. FIL will be in nursing home for at least 8 weeks recovering due to fall.
Questions:
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw?
Drama, but I also love documentaries. 1917 (eh, it wasn't all that).
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: pink
Raves/Rants:
Everyone and everything is irritating.
Questions:
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? Romance or comedy
AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? P.S. I Still Love You on Netflix and I loved it. Loved the books loved the movie. Can’t wait for the 3rd one.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out!
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: I have no idea!!! I am so bad at this!!!
Upcoming appointments: AS and dr appointment Wednesday
How are you feeling? So much better!!! My anxiety is down and I don’t feel as nauseous. More energy.
Raves/Rants: I got my house some what cleaned this week and that makes me feel better!!!
Questions:
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? I love romance!!! Last movie I watched was Dear John.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green!
I'm not being super productive, but I'm enjoying my downtime and trying to get caught up on my screen time
Questions: nada
GTKY- What's your favorite movie genre? AND, bonus question, what's the last movie you saw? we're not huge movie goers, but I think the last one I saw in theatres was when I was pregnant with DS...can't even tell you the name
@coffeeandcookies84 I loved Brittany Runs a Marathon! My plan is to rewatch it once I'm cleared/able to run again because it motivates me like crazy! I was in tears at the end and totally wanted to stand up and cheer for her, right there in the theater lol
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Banana
Upcoming appointments: AS on Thursday!
