FFFC: I don't watch The Mandalorian, I don't have Disney+, I also have never seen a Star Wars movie in its entirety, but I love the baby Yoda meme's/gifs and I use the regularly.

@krash_ no judgement here! I have never seen Star Wars either and I am obsessed with Baby Yoda.

My FFFC - I'm a little judgey about what people write in their intros in the newbie thread. Being here for like a year and a half and passing 2.5 years of TTC, sometimes I'm like "girl you are preaching to the wrong choir". But of course we all come from different walks of TTC so I keep that to myself.

Someone one said "relatively long time of 6 months" with conceiving a child and I'm just like, 6 months is a freaking oops baby for me 😂 6 months is the time between my failed FET and this next one.

Kind of along those lines, my FFFC is that I stopped checking out the Newbie Intros thread a long time ago. I just don't have the energy to participate. If a newbie is really interested in becoming a part of this community, then they'll jump into the dailies and I'll greet them there. If it's a name I don't recognize, I just assume they've already done the Newbie Intro thing. And if they haven't, then whatevs, welcome to the dailies, I hope you like hearing about MH's back problems that make his testicles hurt.

@inthewoods23 Ahhhh yes, I remember back in those days when I thought 6 months of TTC would be forever. That was cute. 18 months later here I am! I've spent the past 6 months in IF testing/IVF prep alone. 

We got an invite to a friend's marathon fundraiser this weekend (she's doing a charity bib 2 years in a row so she needs to raise a couple thousand dollars) and I remember her fundraiser from last year. We were about 6 months into TTC, and I was convinced that this was the month. I was in a TWW and had one beer to hold in my hand as a prop all night. That was the night that we had to listen to one of MH's hs buddies tell us to enjoy not having LOs, AND one of my girlfriends straight up asked me in public if we were trying to have a baby so she could tell me about her MC. I lied to her face and told her we're not planning on having kids because I didn't want to deal with the conversation. 

Suffice it to say, my second FFFC of today is that we're skipping this year's fundraiser.

@ttcbabyodo, same 100%,  except when I think someone may be kels. When I go back to find their intro I usually end up reading the whole thread and being depressed about everyone who has already moved on haha

@ttcbabyodo I literally snorted at the "back problems that make his testicles hurt". Out loud. In my cube farm. 

I think I need to go home now.  

Also, as @bows22 has had to listen to me b!tch about, when I'm feeling bad about my TTC journey, I go back and realize how many people who intro'd with or after me have since moved on, and then that makes me sadder. It's really a terrible life choice, but I do it anyway!

I don't bother reading intros either unless something someone unrecognizable says in one of the other threads irks me, then I go digging. 
@krash_ Same. I was actually going to watch the Mandalorian, until I discovered it's a series. Now I don't know if we can be bothered.

@ttcbabyodo & @bows22 I get it about the intros. Except that my FFFC is that I think *every new person* is kels. Hahaha. 

ETA: The mobile site hasn’t worked for me all week—forget about the app—so I’ve barely even been able to lurk till right now. ☹️

True story: half the time I create the newbie thread because single intro posts make me twitchy. I honestly view the newbie thread as just laying the foundation - if you're going to join us in the dailies and be an active participant cool. The reality is though that half of the people who post in the newbie threads ghost.

Every time a Peggy is like "(TMI) brown discharge" but we're all in here like "my underwear looked like a murder scene when AF showed up unexpectedly", "I got the US wand shoved up my hooha this morning and now jelly goo is STILL coming out and it's 3pm!", and so on 🤣

My FFFC is that unless I post in the dailies early, I just lurk because tags are hard. Remembering to @ and typing in names correctly is hard. I realize it makes me less of a member but it is what it is. 

Also my car has an electrical issue and it wouldnt start this morning so I get a 3 day weekend.

@inthewoods23 and we can't forget the Jizz Shuffle. Is it weird that everytime I do the shuffle into the bathroom I now think about @shamrocandroll?   Ok maybe that's my FFFC. Sorry for making it weird, @shamrocandroll

Is it weird that I'm oddly flattered that you guys think of me in such a personal moment?    Miss you ladies!!!  I don't feel like I can comfortably talk about jizz-shuffling in my current forum.

@legendairymomma same. I would feel bad if I posted late with my daily info and not have any comment to someone else. I have days here and there where I just post in threads like this because it's easier and less weird to just chime in once and call it a day

*lurking* to say the day we talked about the jizz shuffle was one of my all time favorite days on TTGP. I think I giggled at my desk all day. I was just so glad to know I wasn’t a weirdo and was equally excited to give it a name 😂

@krash_ I have zero interest in Star Wars anything, including baby yoda (which isn’t even yoda, but I digress). With the current state of the internet I feel like I’m in the minority, I can’t get away from it. 

I guess I need to do a search for this jizz shuffle thread. 😂

@krash_ MH watches the Madalorian and I pretend to watch it... but really, I'm only paying attention to the baby Yoda scenes! And then, when it's over, I ask MH if baby Yoda is okay!!

My FFFC is that I want to know WHO decided to add playing the recorder to every elementary school music curriculum. Because they clearly hate teachers.

@emeraldduchess that made me laugh because earlier today I saw a meme on FB that said "I'm so glad I learned how to play that recorder in 4th grade because I use those skills so much in my adult life!"

@emeraldduchess uh oh, I'm totally guilty of being that teacher. I started teaching recorder with my 4th graders when I got hired. We don't start band until 5th grade in my district though and it helps prep the students for playing other instruments (is generally my justification). They learn a lot of good habits and get into the practice of actually reading music and playing as an ensemble and taking responsibility for an instrument. 

Hopefully that didn't sound too preachy. Disclaimer that I generally have a good sense of humor about recorder jokes, so don't read this as me being offended or flaming you.

@gingermama29 totally doesn't sound preachy, I definitely get the benefits and think it's a great intro to playing a musical instrument. It's just not fun telling your class for the tenth time in 5 minutes to stop sword fighting with their recorders.
