@kpearse @kiki047 sending you so many hugs!! 💜 This was a crappy way for all of us to start out our week...and OP has no clue (and probably doesn’t care) how she affected us because she hasn’t even been back since posting!! I was kind of curious to know what the heck swaying was...but knew it had to be bonkers since there is no way to influence that! Good to know I was not wrong, but it really is ridiculous that people can do all kinds of crazy stuff to try to influence one aspect of a child and still get KU and we are over here doing everything we possibly can just to have a healthy baby!! I agree with you @kiki047 let’s let this thread die!

Ladies, there is legitimately a chapter in one of my pregnancy books about influencing gender. Pretty sure my eyes rolled out of my head for that one. Apparently the Shettles method is absolutely back-a$$-ward (shocking, I know!) and you should really be timing HIO to be as close to O as possible for a girl, and two to three days before O for a boy.

Also, in terms of diet allegedly more carbs means girl, more fats means boy. The author of this book that I actually read made the dietary changes and ended up with the opposite gender of what she was aiming for, so there's that

Had to check multiple times that this was the TTGP board. It takes serious balls to post an ultrasound picture here. This post is so tone deaf. 

1. Nub Theory is about 50/50. 

2. I don’t think there’s any real science on gender sway. 

Also, I’m so sorry to all of you awesome ladies that this got posted here. It is absolutely not appropriate here.

@mvt2003 per the Nub Techs website, the Shettles is incorrect (as in timing means nothing) because capacitated and incapacitated heads wasn't a known thing when he came up with his theory. He just assumed sperm with a larger head had the X chromosome and the smaller head the Y chromosome. Hence why there was the thought that some swim faster than others.

Ok I need to stop caring about fake science now.

This might have been deviously genius guerrilla advertising. Too bad they won't convert hits to customers...
