Re: December Symptoms

  • I literally can't stop peeing my pants...coughing, sneezing, laughing, moving...it comes out full force. ALSO, do any ladies here have SPD (symphasis pubis dysfunction)? I feel like my vagina bone is literally going to snap in half and I don't know how to get relief. It's been a challenge all three pregnancies, but this one takes the cake.

  • @chichiphin I am seriously SO SORE...the extra blood flow isn't necessarily a plus for me lol
  • @mommyxthree2020 I don’t think I have that but my pubic bone has been hurting a lot. And my hips and sit bones. I just feel uncomfortable most of the time.
  • @chichiphin lube is my BFF. You’ll be especially glad you have it post pregnancy. Just make sure you got a pregnancy safe one. I got an all natural aloe one from amazon that works well.

H and I haven’t really been doing much because he was sick and then I was sick, but he has hip surgery next week so I think we better get something in before we can’t for a while. Plus I’ll probably be too giant to do much by the time he’s cleared. Lol.
  • My sinuses are killing me. I never have sinus pressure/pain and I now feel bad I used to get annoyed at a friend who always canceled plans bc of sinus infections. I would have stayed home too.

My UC is just never gonna get any better and I’m sick of being sick.

One good thing is DS has just been happily babbling in his crib this morning so I am taking my sweet time getting out of bed.

  • @chichiphin Omg same!! Sex drive is definitely there but my body doesn't seem to be cooperating. For some reason I thought lube was a no no during pregnancy? Might have to look into what kind we can use.
  • @silverhope I am getting over a sinus infection now and it's the worse. Hope you feel better soon.
  • @stacey6689 google told me water-based is safe. I bought some and have used it once. I see my OB on wednesday next week so I plan on confirming this with her.

@chichiphin I just saw your post about sex drive, I’m just chiming in to days I’m jealous! Mine is wayyyy down.

anyone else have their libido drop?
  • @dunder_mifflin yea mine is like non-existent and I feel kind of bad. Part of it I think is just that I’m on week 3 of this cold and can’t kick it. Who wants to have sex when they don’t feel good? Plus DH has stopped initiating at all which I get he doesn’t want to be turned down but that puts all the pressure on me and I’m just like sorry I’m exhausted if I get to choose between sex and sleep I’m choosing sleep 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope I feel better soon bc last time 3rd tri sex was not pleasant and I’m only a couple weeks out from 3rd tri.

  • @dunder_mifflin Mine is probably about normal. With my last pregnancy I my libido went WAY up in 2nd tri, so I'm disappointed that doesn't seem to be the case this time.

My libido is still sky high but my partner's has dropped way down lately.  He's been working so much though that by the time we're hanging out together in the evenings, he's exhausted and ends up falling asleep.  I'm rather annoyed but oh well.  :-P

@miss.sally Oh I didn't even think about lube being pregnancy safe or not... I haven't had to use any yet, but since starting my Zoloft, I will definitely need some.  Thanks for the heads up!!
  • @dunder_mifflin I feel like mine is never very high.  :# Similar to @varimama I usually choose sleep. It still happens a few times a week, so he's not deprived, but I'm wondering if I'll be able to keep that up as I get bigger and more uncomfortable.

  • I just bought a facial razor and shaved the day before thanksgiving. My neck was growing ridiculously long hair and I had a student tell me so politely that a facial razor would help my makeup stick. One week later and this neck beard is coming back!!! This is torture:o
  • @malidocious, a similar thing is happening at our house.. I'm usually in the mood, but DH hasn't been because he hasn't been getting any good sleep lately (he works nights and has to catch sleep when he can during the day/evening.)  If I initiate he'll usually be on board though... but I haven't initiated much lately.

Kind of strange, I have the opposite problem people have mentioned.. tmi.. I have a little 'too' much moisture when KU and it makes things not as enjoyable. (not as much feeling/too slippery)   I'm not sure why this is but it's happened to me every time.  One time after DTD DH said "why do I have the song 'under the sea' stuck in my head now?'   I said, well, maybe it's because of all the extra moisture...  :D
  • @cheraec Oh nooo to the neck beard!  I'm sorry!  My face isn't growing any additional hair (yet?) but my skin has never been drier!  I have red splotchy patches on my face and it's so annoying.  Not on my hands or feet or anywhere else; just my freakin' face.

@treetop19 I'm almost never the initiator so I guess I should start, because this lack of sexytimes is really sort of hurting my feelings.  lol!  And I was in the same boat with excess moisture until I started this Zoloft and now I'm so dry everywhere... including down there.  :(
  • I have been having the worst tailbone pain for a few weeks and got really bad the other day- I couldn’t sleep! I ended up doing a quick Google search (sorry doctors lol) and read that doing cat/cow and standing cat/cow could help... it is a miracle!!!! It’s so bizarre but totally works. 10/10 recommend if you’re having tailbone pain!
  • @lemonlove86 I have constant tailbone pain. It gets so bad I can barely walk or sit. I do the cat/cow and child pose pretty much daily. Sometimes it helps a little, sometimes not at all. It’s making me terrified for the last couple months!
  • That sounds so painful @miss.sally 😩😩! Does your doctor recommend anything else you can do? I feel like my tailbone needs to be cracked but I can’t cross my legs to twist my lower back so that’s out of the question lol.
  • @lemonlove86 unfortunately she just kinda gave me a sympathetic look and said to keep stretching. Three more months. I can do this. Lol
  • Libido is and has been super low for me this entire pregnancy. DH and I actually haven’t had sex once this entire time. He’s too scared and honestly so am I. I’m super tight always and the thought of even a little blood after sex that will make my anxiety go crazy isn’t even worth it. I’ve given him the good ole 😮 but uhm not many lol WIFE FAIL. I hope we can get back in the swings of things after baby is born...

On another note, my nausea today has been so annoying. All freaking day ever since I ate breakfast. And for the past week or so I have had bouts of nausea here and there. So I hope this doesn’t mean it’s back for good 😭
  • @mrsvp614 If a few times a week is low in any way, my husband is screwed. He travels, I'm exhausted, we have two kids, I'm busy, he finds pregnant bellies not sexy... it'll be a few times a month (at best) and NONE in February/March/April hahaha.

Side note: my sex drive is the lowest it has ever been in my life while breastfeeding, and I breastfeed for ~14-18 months. So that's fun...

  • @EmilyLove25 hahaha I thought the same thing when I read @mrsvp614’s comment. Sounds like a lucky husband to me! Hahaha
  • Lmfao @emilylove25  I also thought the same thing with @mrsvp614’s comment. GET IT GURL!

@mrsc918 I’m in the same boat. we’ve only had sex like 3 time this pregnancy lol. DH is scared and also I have a low libido right now, low energy too. Trying to have some time before baby, though!

On a completely unrelated note, anyone have any Spotify podcast suggestions for new mom’s/pregnancy/motherhood? I want to start listening to some things :)

  • @dunder_mifflin The Longest Shortest Time!
  • So ever since I’ve been pregnant I wheeze sometimes when I’m laying down flat on my back, even in first trimester. OB said that wasn’t really normal and prescribed me an albuterol inhaler (which I haven’t used bc that doesn’t seem like that’s actually getting to the root of the problem anyway?) Also I’m wondering if any of you ladies ever gasp for air? I sometimes wake up with a gasp for air but sometimes it happens even when I’m awake and just laying down.
  • @mrsc918 I wouldn’t say I gasp for air, but I definitely have a difficult time breathing, like I can’t take a full breath. I’ve felt it my whole pregnancy also. I just chalked it up to being a weird pregnancy thing. 🤷🏼‍♀️
  • I’m sitting here wondering how the heck I’m going to make it another three months in this pregnancy. I cannot even believe how uncomfortable I am. And he is SO.LOW. I have never carried this low so it’s a whole new thing for me. I’m already waddling (the back pain doesn’t help with that).
  • @miss.sally Oh yes I feel you. I keep counting “HOW many more weeks!?” I definitely did not feel like this the first two pregnancies. 27 weeks feels more like 37!
  • @momoftoddlers I’m glad to hear it isn’t just me! Although I’m sorry you’re dealing with it also. Must be a third pregnancy thing. Lol.
  • @miss.sally Baby moves around all the time for me, but sometimes she gets low and feels like she’s kicking me straight in the cervix and in the ass lol super weird uncomfortable feeling.
  • @dunder_mifflin @varimama I'm a little late to this thread's earlier posts, but wanted to drop in to say: my libido is way way down as well--has been this whole pregnancy & still is. DH is.... he either doesn't care or is hiding caring really well. I miss wanting to be intimate in that way with him, but it rarely occurs to me THAT I miss it, if that makes sense?

@mrsc918 DH and I have barely had sex since we got our BFP. I can count the times on one hand for sure. If you're still getting nauseated, that makes sense. My second tri nausea, though, has been tamped down since I started taking my heartburn meds--I think that my heartburn was causing the nausea, so getting that under control has been really helpful. Doesn't make me want to DTD though, so....

@miss.sally Esp. as a FTM I can't imagine how I will make it past the already large level of discomfort I feel--though time does seem to be going by more quickly these days? ....but I just want to eat what I want to eat and not feel too terribly full afterwards! Apparently that *is* too much to ask. I will never understanding "eating for two" jokes in my life ever again.
  • Heartburn nearly constantly, but can't bring myself to stop eating heartburn foods because that is pretty much every food that is good. Plus we are renovating our kitchen and for the time being are pretty much stuck eating microwavable sodium bombs or carry-out. The whole of my digestive system hates this.
Occasional weird sharp pains in the lower abdomen area? Like the muscles, not the organs? Probably just the structural elements not used to carrying this bump.

Also I got a cold from a coworker and this post-nasal drip is next level. Gotta ask the doc if I can take anything.
  • @mauvelousone I take a prilosec every morning AND eat as heartburn friendly as possible--tomatos/tomato sauce has been the hardest for me to give up. Anyway, my heartburn is under control now, but not gone, and I am grateful for it. If it gets worse, you can do it! You can eat heartburn friendly!
  • @miss.sally @momoftoddlers add me to the chorus of “how will I make it 3.5 more months??”

My hips/back/pelvis are sore all the time. Yesterday I had a super busy day setting up, running, and tearing down for our big fundraiser at school. I worked from 12-2 and then 5-11pm and was on my feet running around the whole time. By the end of the night I could barely walk, it hurt so bad. It didn’t help that I had to wear dress shoes all evening. Even flats hurt my feet after that long.
  • You can add me to the list of "how am I going to survive?" And "libido, what libido?" 😂

Just hit 28w today (yay third trimester) and I've never known this level of exhaustion. I'm starting to question my ability to be on my feet at day for work, even with little breaks. Add the hip/tailbone pain to the mix and I've given up trying to get comfortable when I do get to rest. Also, GERD. Yay.

    Other than that, feeling great!
  • Anyone else having mid-back pain? Not constantly, but every other day or so I’ll feel tightness, stabbing, or aching for a couple hours, right between my shoulder blades. Stretching doesn’t seem to relieve it. Wondering if anyone has the same feeling and if anything worked for them!
  • @pdx2020 I get an occasional back pain, but nothing to write home about. However, I haven't done any yoga in a week/so, after doing it at least 3-4 times a week for a while, and my hips were KILLING me last night, so I am going to try to get back on that.

I have this MONSTER zit--DH said he used to get them like this when he was a kid?--on my forehead. IDK if it's related to my pregnancy, but I'm guessing it is only bc I've never gotten one like this. I keep joking that I am sprouting a horn. It's, like, hard, and hurts, and super red and huggge. yay.
