Yayyyy @kpearse99 go follies go!! Most women alternate sides when ovulating, which is why a blocked tube can be an issue if the egg has nowhere to go. Sounds like the letrozole is doing its thing and you're ready to rock and roll! As for HIO, I would also go for the 2-day hold, that being said, when we didn't get our -3 in and I was stressing I reminded myself that if there was an issue with sperm meeting egg because of CM or them getting lost all up in there, the IUI itself gives us a better chance anyway.

@kiki047 thanks, friend!! We got the -3 in last night so we'll be going with the 2 day hold for sure. I remind myself of that all the time too, that the IUI bypasses all of those other things that could get in the way and that's the timing that really matters the most. So thanks for the extra reminder on that It's always helpful!

@inthewoods23 right? The funny quirky comments are the best... and for some reason they do the trick for me  I'm also always turning everything he says to me into some sort of dirty version haha something is wrong with my brain!

We got a call last night to go over MH's endocrine BW, his prolactin was slightly elevated, so we need to redo that to see if it still is or if it was a fluke. If it's still elevated, he has to go to an endocrinologist because there may be a benign growth on his pituitary gland. His testosterone is also low, so he's going to be put on Clomid to help raise it and see if that improves his count at all. Insurance already said no to the way they wrote the prescription, so the pharmacy is calling the office this morning to get that adjusted, hopefully it goes through and we can start him on Clomid as soon as possible. 

TTC is so much fun, guys!

@bows22 Thanks friend. The order is already in, we just have to go to the lab. We'll probably do it Tuesday since we have our physicals anyway.

@kpearse99 another reason why we're friends - I also twist everything MH says into something dirty and he just rolls his eyes at me. 
@mvt2003 oh friend, I hope you guys can catch a break soon. FX they can get the prescription sorted out. I've heard of guys being put on clomid before for this but I think you'll be the first person I "know" who will have tried it so I'm curious how it goes for YH! FX FX!

@mvt2003 wow - I am so sorry, my dear friend, for that news. I hope everything gets worked out for the prescription so that gets crossed off of your worry list. How is YH doing with all of this news? My heart is starting to break for him, as I know it's not easy to get news about yourself that you were not expecting. I'm hoping so hard it was just a fluke.

@kpearse99 Thank you, sweet friend. He's doing ok, he's very nervous about the prolactin level, as am I, but he's very much looking forward to taking Clomid, funnily enough. He has long suspected he's had a T issue, and apparently Clomid might help him overall feel better and have more energy in addition to improving his count. He asked me to stop at the pharmacy last night while I was out to see if it was ready so he could start taking it immediately.

AFM, I got the expected BFN this morning and AF should be here any minute. I have a call in to the RE to renew my letrozole RX. TBH I think one more failed IUI is going to be the end of the road for us. DH and I had a huge discussion last night about how I am tired of putting EVERYTHING in our life on hold for children that may never arrive.

@emeraldduchess I'm starting to feel that way too, honestly. I'm not sure how much more of this I can take or put myself through. If this IUI doesn't work I'll meet with the RE about other options but I can feel my heart starting to put a stop to all of this. sigh. I'm so sorry, my friend. So so so very sorry.

But so good to hear that your husband is excited to start the Clomid—FX it dies the trick & makes him feel more in balance. Prayers that the prolactin level was a fluke & nothing to worry about!🙏🏽

Update: I got a slight win. The pharmacist last night (who was kind of a b-face, she literally rolled her eyes at me when I asked her a question) was apparently wrong, and insurance covered the prescription. MH took his first pill today, here's hoping we see some results!

@mvt2003 glad your H is excited about meds. Mine probably wouldn't be (stubborn, stubborn, stubborn). What a relief that your insurance covered it!

AFM, it looks like this cycle is going to have to be unmedicated/unmonitored.  I was only approved for 1 IUI and insurance didn't come through yet with a second approval. Since it's CD1 and a Friday, I won't be able to get my letrozole in time. *sigh* However...

I do know getting KU is without IUI/medication is possible. It's happened twice, even though both ended in losses. If those losses were due to low progesterone, then the supplement *might* be enough.

@kpearse99 I plan to, though I hope I can get in touch with my RE early next week. They said Letrozole has to be taken CD3-7 but maybe there is wiggle room since I tend to O around CD2O? We'll see what they say. It's tough to not have to play phone tag, though. I can't leave my classroom to take a call and they don't answer or return phone calls after 2:45. Which is exactly when school gets out. SMH. Oh well. Maybe there is something we can do this cycle besides TI and progesterone.

@emeraldduchess I hope they will give you wiggle room. My RE has me take it CD 4-8 and I know other people take it on days 5-9...

@emeraldduchess I've had letrozole for CD3-7 twice and one cycle it was CD4-8. I don't see why it couldn't be 5-9? Hopefully you can!

@emeraldduchess I hope they allow you to take it from 5-9! I have seen people starting medication on CD 3,4,5. Seems to me it varies from doctors to doctors 😆

@kpearse99 @inthewoods23 that's what I thought, too, it can't be like a non-negotiable thing. TBH I am not sure if it really had any effect last cycle since my LH levels went up, stalled, then fell before the trigger shot.

Just did the Ovidrel.... I have a burning sensation now at the injection site... is this normal? I didn’t have it the last two times, but I also only let it sit outside of the fridge for 15 minutes instead of 30 this time.

@mvt2003 So sorry to hear this news. Please remember that there are many factors that could cause an elevated prolactin, such as stress, medications, hypothyroidism, etc. Hopefully the endocrinologist can give you some answers. FX the clomid helps improve his counts! Sending you hugs.

Afm, I went shopping with SIL last night and then had a breakdown when I got home. I think I’m still processing everything that happened on Monday and after going through the mall and seeing all the happy people and realizing that I’m not in a happy place just made me feel so alone. I had a small glass of wine while I cried. I also had my repeat ultrasound yesterday to follow up on the lesion on my ovary and that was also very triggering. I’ll put it in a spoiler since it was triggering for me, it might be for others

The tech started doing the ultrasound and asked when I last took a pregnancy test. I told her I’m not pregnant and that I just had my period. She was like “Oh, well you never know.” Then I informed her I took a test Monday and it was negative. She asked questions about if my period is usually regular and if I have spotting or bleeding between periods. Then after I got home my head was spinning and I thought maybe there was a reason she was asking all these questions. So I took another test just to see. Well, of course it was a bfn. I don’t know why I even bothered. I wonder if maybe there was something up with my lining that she was asking these questions. Or maybe I’m just reading too much into it. I’ll hopefully get the results next week.

@misshelen86 I wish I could give you a hug IRL. Sending internet (((hugs))) instead. I’m so sorry the mall visit left you feeling so down. It’s completely understandable that you feel this way, I just feel terrible you’re going through this. I hope you’re feeling better after letting it out.❤️
As for the U/S, my most recent one went exactly like yours. I asked the tech if there was a reason she was asking all those questions, was she seeing something I should be concerned about. She said those are the standard questions they ask everyone. I hope this helps you feel better!

@mishelen86 I am so, so sorry, friend. This is such a triggering time of year. We get bombarded by images of happy families and LOs from EVERY direction. I had a similar meltdown in a store when I saw all the "My First Christmas" outfits. After my BFN this week I came very close to asking people NOT to send us Christmas cards because I was SO determined not to celebrate the holiday. IF is so freakin' cruel and it really does feel like the universe kicks us in the gut repeatedly. I hope that you feel better today. Please be good to yourself.  All the internet hugs.

I turn bitter sometimes and think that they probably take for granted what they have...but in reality, I don’t know that because they could have easily had struggles too! But that doesn’t really help me in the moment! I hope you were able to do something that makes you happy this weekend! Sending you so many hugs right now though! 💜
