@kpc914 thank you. I hope you're all doing well I miss all of you, but not so much Facebook. Thinking about making a fake one just to have all of you back.
For everyone following along, I got my panorama results back today, and there are no abnormalities. So triploidy and molar pregnancy is off the table like the mfm already told me but double checking is always a good idea. Just need to hold on for 3 more weeks to find out if it was a hematoma and if it has resolved.
@jhysmath such great news! i'm so glad you saw all the different specialists and remained and are remaining optimistic. I'm hoping the best for you in 3 weeks!
In case anyone is following along. I've been avoiding the bump because I was anxious about this appointment. The mfm still isn't sure what we're looking at, but baby is still growing as expected and looks healthy from what they could see. She said the way my uterus was, the tech didn't even notice the "growth" on my placenta until she was told to find it and came back after I had peed and walked around, she said my uterus likely moved around so she could find it the second time. She said had that been my first us we wouldn't even have known there was anything amiss. So we sit and wait and still don't know what this is, she said we might not know until they send the placenta to pathology. I'll have another US with the mfm in January for my anatomy scan and maybe then we'll know something. Currently the growth is the same size or a little bit smaller and we're hoping it gets smaller or goes away.
@jhysmath so sorry to hear you are still without answers, this must be so frustrating. Very glad to hear baby is still growing and looking healthy! Please keep us updated.
I’m glad the baby is growing on track and the mass is not growing. This is certainly good news. I hope you like your MFM and can relax a little bit now.
@jhysmath that's great news that things are still progressing well despite not really having an answer. I'm sorry they couldn't just be certain about things to help ease your mind some more. But hopefully things just keep moving in the right direction! Thanks for updating us.
We had our AS down in Dartmouth with the MFM on Friday. Everything looks "normal" according to her. She said of course she can't guarantee anything, but from what they can tell it's a normal baby and pregnancy. They weren't able to see the "mass" on my placenta she said it could be that it was hiding in a "contraction" of the uterus and perhaps we just didn't see it in the fold or something, but she doesn't think there's anything to worry about. I have started to go back to my midwives who said as long as Dartmouth is okay releasing me they're okay with having me back. MH did make a complaint to the midwife we saw about the original OB who wanted to terminate our pregnancy and she made a comment like "Well hearing this is good, but what would be better would be a formal complaint in writing to the hospital" It made me think that well maybe this guy isn't liked much at all, he's new to the practice sometime in the last 18 months because he wasn't there when I had my daughter in May 2018. I'm hoping this all means everything will go smoothly from here on out. I did do my early glucose test and failed the 1 hour, but then I passed all of the 3 hour test I'm sure I'll end up failing come 28 weeks again, but for now I'll eat the ice cream and enjoy the pregnancy.
@jhysmath This is great news and thank you so much for updating us. I’m happy that you didn’t listen to the original OB and got a second opinion. It’s up to you and YH but it sounds like a formal complaint is the right thing to do.
@jhysmath so happy to hear this! After all the uncertainty this must be such a relief. Very glad to hear everything is ok and hopefully you are in the clear for the rest!
@jhysmath I've been new to this board, but I just got caught up on your whole story here. Wow. I would consider lodging a formal complaint against that OB. But, congratulations that everything seems fine now! Sounds like it could have just be a SCH that left a hematoma, I am sorry for all the watching and waiting stress for months now. Crossing fingers for a totally boring remainder of your pregnancy!

Awe. I hope you have time to celebrate and enjoy your pregnancy now. I ended up with a health scare for the baby early on and I only got good news the first week of January that everything looks normal. I know first hand how much stress and anxiety this can cause. Hang in there mama, you will have your baby smiling in your arms soon. It sounds like you are on the right track with a good team of doctors as well who can address any concerns going forward. xoxo.
Sooooo happy for you, what an odyssey! I agree that having a good medical support team has made all the difference. What a relief, time to enjoy this pregnancy!
