  • Ah @emeraldduchess I was thinking the same while watching last night and finishing today before work.

Then a dumb phone commercial came on with a family with like 6 kids and the mom was talking about how hard it was to keep up with schedules.

It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • So I have one random pregnancy test from I have no clue, but it’s not expired yet. I told myself that I would not buy the cheap hpt like I did last time and that maybe this will give me some self control and only test if my temperature reflects that I may be pregnant. I told my husband that I wanted to buy the cheap ones and he looked at me like I was crazy and told me to wait till my missed period. Why don’t men get it and feed into our desires?! Lol. I’m going to see how many cycles I can hold off for before I pull the trigger and buy some.

  • Anyone else afraid or hesitant to work out in the TWW? Especially after an IUI?! Gah... I'm just so afraid of messing up any chance I may have!! But I did manage to calm myself down and get a workout in on my lunch break today (jogging on the treadmill and an upper body workout with 5lb weights, so nothing crazy).

Sure enough, a few days after the appointment reminders showed up. They also message an hour before the appointment and that one triggered my panic of "crap I gotta leave work NOW!". • I have a flu shot and a filling re-do both next Monday. Apparently I decided to hate myself on the 14th of October.
@inthewoods23 we have a heated mattress pad. It is the BEST. 100% going to put on flannel sheets tonight too.
We've had our pellet stove going, but not our main heat, so far so good on that!

  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin I think the pellet stove is the thing MH misses from our old house the most! It was just more work for me, but he really loved it 😂

  • I have a question and I may be the only one that feels this way, but is it a bump rule or a group rule that states you have to participate for three months before announcing your pregnancy? I know we want to keep the drive by’s out, but I just don’t understand it. If there is a thread dedicated to positive pregnancy test, then why have limits on who can share, especially if they have been active during their ttgp journey? I know how quick and easy it is to create bonds with ladies in this group and it would be fun to share in their joy and excitement. I know I’m new but it’s fun interacting with everyone, watching their temperature raise or following their tww period, and then poof they disappear and it’s almost like you get no answers. It took me a couple of days to realize that I should check the bmb to see if that is where they moved on to.

I’m not looking to change how this group is ran, I just have a question. I like having the dedicated thread instead of having them in the tww daily thread.

I couldn’t save this thought till Thursday because I would have forgotten. 😊

@blackgirlmagic I support your point of view 100%. I felt this way when I first joined & got burned for asking the question. Now, more than a year later, I still feel the same way as you. However, I think there should be a graduation thread for newbies that people can skip over if they don’t want to see newbies graduating quickly. And we keep the thread we have for vets who have been here 3+ months. (ETA: I think I brought this up again in a UO or FFFC sometime over the summer. That was a lively day!) However, I understand the feelings of those who have been here awhile feeling that it hurts too much to see people come & go so quickly when their own roads have been very long & hard (my own included). I think it just depends on how a person emotionally responds to things, no right or wrong about it. I’m ok w your idea but most vets here are not.

ETA: Spoiler below for mentions of PG/loss

Fun fact: the 3 full months rule was added as a clarification
after myself & some others posted our positives after being active less than 3 entire months. In my mind I’d been super active (lurking for a month after a loss and then) interacting heavily from late November into January. Some people frowned on it (but other vets sent me private messages saying that they didn’t mind me posting, they were happy for me) so I asked for public clarification on what warranted “active participation”. There was a thoughtful group discussion and that’s when the group decided on a full  3 months required to post your happy news. Unfortunately, myself & those others returned to TTGP shortly after our announcements & have been sure to follow that 3-month rule ever since.

@kpearse99 I’m going very easy on the working out during this TWW. My acupuncturist & that Chinese Medicine book “The Infertility Cure” both recommend keeping your body warm but not hot & not letting your HR get too high. My RE & old OB said the same for this waiting time, then after things settle it’s ok to ease back into it. Just another perspective, I guess.
I’m making sure to get at least 10,000 steps per day & also lifting 5-pound weights like you. But honestly, I’m fighting the urge to go running.
